The method includes: a mobile terminal acquiring a TAC value of a detected base station; obtaining a reference TAC value, the reference TAC value being a TAC value of a legitimate base station; comparing the TAC value of the detected base station to the reference TAC value; if a difference between the TAC value of the detected base station and the reference TAC value meets a target condition, determining that the detected base station is a pseudo base station.
