A method of generating relevant promotional materials for transmission to a mobile device includes receiving a query from the mobile device, identifying a plurality of advertisements associated with an advertiser-directed delivery parameter that match parameters for the mobile device, and generating a response to the query comprising search results and the plurality of advertisements.

Distributing mobile advertisements

A method for providing a real time view of heterogeneous enterprise data of operational systems includes capturing streams of operational events in real time, combining the events with contextual data, and materializing a resulting view. The resulting view includes a dynamically defined view of the stream of events and provides visibility into a current state of the operational system. A view snapshot is continuously incrementally updated by a view maintenance engine as a stream of rows. The views are used to evaluate a business rule. An alert is fired when a business rule holds true. To enable the view in a view engine, a SQL string characterizing the view is parsed into a parse tree, which is normalized to form a query graph. The query graph is then optimized to obtain a query plan, which is compiled into an operator graph. Queries are executed based upon the operator graph.

Method for providing a real time view of heterogeneous enterprise data

A computer-implemented method of identifying illegitimate requests for information may include associating a first carrier with an electronic promotional item, receiving a request relating to the electronic promotional item from a second carrier, and identifying the request as illegitimate if the first carrier is different than the second carrier. The computer-implemented method may further include transmitting the electronic promotional item to the first carrier. The request may be a response to the electronic promotional item. In some embodiments, the electronic promotional item may be a link to more information about the electronic promotional item. The computer-implemented method may further include logging the request in a database and charging an ad sponsor for the request in the second database. In some embodiments, a charge may be canceled for the request if the request is identified as illegitimate.

Identifying spurious requests for information

An advertisement associated with a bid and a budget for placement of the advertisement is received, and a determination as to whether to present the advertisement is made. A number of times the advertisement is presented is calculated, and the number of times the advertisement is not presented is calculated. An impression share statistic for the advertisement is calculated based on the calculation of the number of times the advertisement is presented and the calculation of the number of times the advertisement is not presented.

Determining and displaying impression share to advertisers

Techniques for determining search query information for an advertising campaign and communicating the search query information to a sponsor of the advertising campaign are described. The techniques include receiving, from a sponsor of the advertisement, a request for search query information relating to the advertisement having been presented by a search service, identifying previously executed search queries submitted by users of the search service, wherein search results of the identified search queries have been presented with the advertisement to one or more users of the search service, compiling search query information, the search query information including ad performance data associated with the advertisement for the identified search queries, and providing the sponsor with the compiled search query information. A user interface may be generated to receive user input of selection criteria and provide an interface to search query information.

Determining search query statistical data for an advertising campaign based on user-selected criteria

A system to provide search query information. The system receives a request for search query information, identifies a set of search queries from a search query log that includes search queries submitted to a search service over a predetermined length of time, and provides the set of search queries. Each of the set of search queries is associated with at least a predetermined number of unique identifiers. Each of the set of search queries is matched to the request for search query information by a combination of exact matches, expanded matches, and broad matches.

A method for dynamically initializing a view for a streaming database system. The method includes accessing a stream of events. An initial view is materialized from the stream, wherein the initial view comprises a dynamically defined view of the stream of events from the streaming database system. The method also includes processing a plurality of recent view snapshots from the initial view. A view state derived from each of the recent view snapshots is generated. An updated view is subsequently maintained in accordance with the view state, wherein the updated view incorporates new events of the stream.

Method and system for dynamically initializing a view for a streaming data base system

A method and system for real-time, computer-generated modifications to an online advertising program is disclosed. One aspect of the invention involves a method at a computer associated with an ad placement provider. The method involves receiving a plurality of data streams containing real-time data concerning online advertisements in an online advertising program for an advertiser; applying a first continuous query to the plurality of data streams; generating a first ongoing response to the first continuous query; applying a second continuous query to the first ongoing response; generating a second response to the second continuous query; and in response to an event associated with generating the first or second response, implementing a computer-generated change in the advertising program in real time.
