Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may obtain, at an access stratum (AS) layer, an indication of an inter-satellite link (ISL) activation that is to take place at an activation time. The wireless communication device may receive communications. The wireless communication device may buffer the communications in a buffer at the AS layer. The wireless communication device may release the communications from the buffer to an upper protocol layer at a rate of release that is to change between a transition start time and the activation time. Numerous other aspects are described.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for adaptive grouping for cooperative radar sensing. A method for wireless communications by a first network entity includes receiving, from a second network entity, first grouping information comprising an indication of a first plurality of network entities, the first grouping information associated with a first time-period; receiving, from the second network entity, second grouping information comprising an indication of a second plurality of network entities, the second grouping information associated with a second time-period; receiving a first radar signal during the first time-period; receiving a second radar signal during the second time-period; transmitting, to the second network entity, first sensing information based on the first radar signal; and transmitting, to the second network entity, second sensing information based on the second radar signal.

Adaptive grouping for cooperative radar sensing

Disclosed are various techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) identifies a set of positioning sources, each positioning source comprising a positioning reference signal (PRS) resource, a PRS resource set, a PRS frequency layer, and/or a transmission/reception point (TRP). From the set of positioning sources, the UE identifies a consistency group comprising a collection of positioning sources grouped based on expected values of at least one metric of a reference signal from each positioning source, measured values of the at least one metric for the reference signal from each positioning source, and an error threshold. The UE identifies one or more subsets of positioning sources within the consistency group, each subset having at least one metric error value. The UE reports, to a network entity, information about the consistency group and information about at least one of the subsets of positioning sources within the consistency group.

Prioritization of positioning-related reports in uplink

Techniques for detecting non-line-of-sight (NLOS) wireless signal paths are described. In some embodiments, a method thereof may include receiving positioning information from one or more networked devices, the positioning information comprising information indicative of measurements of one or more wireless signals transmitted between one or more wireless network nodes and one or more UEs, location data indicative of a location of each of the one or more UEs, or a combination thereof; determining a commonality associated with the received positioning information; and based on the determined commonality, determining that the NLOS wireless signal path is present between the given UE and the one or more wireless network nodes.

Detecting non-line-of-sight wireless signal paths

A UE includes a processor configured to: receive, in a primary cell, a dormant indication of a dormant state of a secondary cell; and respond to receiving the dormant indication by implementing the dormant state of the secondary cell by inhibiting monitoring of a physical downlink control channel of the secondary cell; where the processor is configured to respond to a positioning signal including a first portion that is configured within a bandwidth of the secondary cell and that is received while the secondary cell is in the dormant state by: withholding processing of the positioning signal; or withholding processing of the first portion of the positioning signal and processing a second portion, if any, of the positioning signal that is configured outside the bandwidth of the secondary cell; or processing the positioning signal.

Downlink and uplink Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) is performed using Reference Signal Time Difference (RSTD) measurements. The transmissions and measurements of positioning reference signals (PRS) are configured to mitigate or eliminate network synchronization errors which conventionally limit positioning accuracy of TDOA. The synchronization errors are mitigated using inter-base station PRS, and transmission of the PRS in response to receipt of the initial reference signal. For DL TDOA, a reference base station may transmit PRS to the user equipment (UE) and neighboring base station. In response, the neighboring base station transmits PRS to the UE. The RSTD may be determined as the difference in the time of reception of the PRS signals received at the UE after removal of the total delay for transmitting the PRS by the neighboring base station, including propagation time and processing time. The RSTD for UL TDOA may be determined in a similar manner.

Enhanced time difference of arrival based positioning for user equipment

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. First representations of a first symbol of a space-frequency block coded symbol pair using first resources of a set of resources and first representations of a second symbol of the space-frequency block coded symbol pair using second resources of the set of resources may be transmitted via a first beam. The set of resources may be a set of time and frequency resources. Second representations of the first symbol using the second resources and second representations of the second symbol using the first resources of the plurality of resources may be transmitted via a second beam. In some examples, across the set of resources, the first beam, and the second beam, each representation of the first symbol and each representation of the second symbol is precoded by a different respective precoder of a set of precoders.

High-granularity precoder cycling with channel estimation

Techniques for positioning a bandwidth-limited user equipment (UE) are provided. An example method of positioning performed by a bandwidth-limited UE according to the disclosure includes receiving a first timing measurement signal from at least one proximate UE, wherein the at least one proximate UE is capable of using more bandwidth than the bandwidth-limited UE, and transmitting a second timing measurement signal to the at least one proximate user equipment.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a time period during which the UE is configured to receive grants scheduling communications for the UE, wherein the grants are associated with a first grant format type. The UE may determine that the grants include a feedback process identifier exceeding a threshold value. The UE may maintain a power saving state of a discontinuous reception procedure for a feedback process associated with the feedback process identifier during the time period based at least in part on the feedback process identifier exceeding the threshold value.

Techniques for reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-assisted calibration for timing errors in wireless nodes may comprise obtaining a set of wireless reference signal measurements comprising: first, second, third, and fourth measurements of reference signals traveling between the mobile device, a first wireless node, and a second wireless node, wherein a portion of the reference signals are reflected by the RIS while traveling between the mobile device and the first or second wireless node. A differential value comprising a difference between the third measurement and the fourth measurement is also obtained. Determining a position estimate of the mobile device may then be performed, based at least in part on the set of wireless reference signal measurements, the differential value, and a respective location of each of the first wireless node, the second wireless node, and the RIS.

Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-assisted timing error calibration for mobile device positioning

A UE transmits a sidelink synchronization signal in response to a communication trigger, the sidelink synchronization signal including an indication of the communication trigger to be provided to a network. The UE receives a sidelink message from an aerial device in response to the sidelink synchronization signal. An aerial device receives, from a UE, a sidelink synchronization signal including an indication of a communication trigger associated with communication for a network. The aerial device transmits a sidelink message to the UE in response to reception of the sidelink synchronization signal that includes the indication of the communication trigger.

A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration information, configuring the UE with one or more SRS resource sets, wherein each of the one or more SRS resource sets comprises one or more SRS resources; receiving signaling comprising a field indicating which of the one or more SRS resources in the one or more SRS resource sets are active and which of the one or more SRS resources in the one or more SRS resources sets are inactive; and transmitting one or more SRSs using only the one or more SRS resources that are active.

In an aspect, a communications node selects a reference device for a positioning procedure based on hardware group capabilities associated with reference devices involved in the positioning procedure (e.g., RTT, differential RTT, double differential RTT, TDOA, etc.). In another aspect, a distance between reference devices is estimated based on timing measurements of reference signal(s) for positioning. A hardware group delay associated with the reference devices is estimated based on (i) the estimated distance between the first and second reference devices, and (ii) a known distance between the first and second reference devices.

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for transmitting sounding reference signal (SRS) resources with frequency hopping. In some implementations, a user equipment (UE) may use different SRS ports, different antenna ports, different numbers and sizes of SRS resources, different periodicities, different offsets, different transmission comb values, different number of symbols, different power control parameters, and/or different transmission comb offset values for SRS transmissions on different frequency subbands of the frequency hopping pattern to ensure that sounding operations cover all antennas of the UE, cover the entire frequency range of interest, and provide sufficiently dense SRS transmissions from which a base station can determine the best channel for DL transmissions while also using a minimum amount of SRS resources and consuming minimal power in the UE.
