Ethylene propylene copolymers, substantially free of diene, are described. The copolymers will have a uniform distribution of both tacticity and comonomer between copolymer chains. Further, the copolymers will exhibit a statistically insignificant intramolecular difference of tacticity. The copolymers are made in the presence of a metallocene catalyst.

The invention described is a thermoplastic vulcanizate comprising dynamically-cured rubber, a functionalized thermoplastic polymer, and a functionalized hydrocarbon resin, which thermoplastic vulcanizate can be advantageously adhered to a polar substrate, for example by overmolding. In one or more embodiments of the present invention an article of commerce comprising: a) a polar substrate, and the b) a thermoplastic vulcanizate comprised of dynamically-cured rubber, a functionalized thermoplastic polymer, and a functionalized hydrocarbon resin; wherein said thermoplastic vulcanizate is adhered to the polar substrate is provided.

A propylene copolymer is described comprising at least 70 mol % of units derived from propylene, up to 30 mol % of units derived from a combination of ethylene, at least one alpha-olefin having from 4 to 10 carbon atoms, such that the molar ratio of ethylene-derived units to said alpha-olefin-derived units in said combination is from about 1:9 to about 9:1, and from 0 to about 3 mol % of units derived from a copolymerizable diene. The copolymer has isotactically arranged propylene derived sequences, an overall heat of fusion as determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) of less than 65 J/g, a second melting point as determined by DSC of less than 100&#xb0; C., less than one 1,3 insertion error per 1000 carbon atoms and a weight average molecular weight as determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) of from about 100,000 to about 500,000.

Use of metal oxides and salts to enhance adhesion to steels

This invention provides methods of making molecular sieve catalyst particles, molecular sieve slurries that can be used in such methods, molecular sieve catalyst compositions and their use in catalytic hydrocarbon conversion processes. In one of its aspects, the invention provides a method of making molecular sieve catalyst particles, the method comprising the steps of: a) providing a solution or suspension of an aluminum-containing inorganic oxide precursor in a liquid medium; b) combining the solution or suspension of aluminum-containing inorganic oxide precursor with a molecular sieve, and optionally other formulating agents, to form a catalyst formulation slurry; c) aging the catalyst formulation slurry to generate in said slurry a percentage, or increase in said slurry the existing percentage, of aluminum atoms of the aluminum-containing precursor in the form of oligomers having a sharpAl NMR peak at 62-63 ppm; and d) forming molecular sieve catalyst particles from the catalyst formulation slurry. The catalyst compositions obtained by the methods of the present invention have improved attrition resistance, and are particularly useful in hydrocarbon conversion processes.

Molecular sieve catalyst composition, its making and use in conversion processes

This invention provides methods of making molecular sieve catalyst particles, molecular sieve slurries that can be used in such methods, molecular sieve catalyst compositions and their use in catalytic hydrocarbon conversion processes.
