In an example method, a user equipment (UE) device receives a plurality of Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) beams transmitted by base stations (BSes) during discovery burst transmission windows (DBTWs). For each of the SSB beams, the UE device determines an index value of the SSB beam (l) within a respective one of the DBTWs, and determines a value Z=lmod N, where Nrepresents a maximum allowable number of SSB beams transmitted by each of the BSes during a single DBTW. The UE device determines whether two or more of the SSB beams are quasi co-located based on the values Z for the SSB beams, and processes wireless signals received from the BSes based on the determination.

Transmission configuration indicator determination and acknowledgment

A cell performs beam management operations for a user equipment (UE). The cell transmits a first group of multiple reference signals via a first transmission reception point (TRP) to a user equipment (UE), transmits a second group of multiple reference signals via a second different TRP to the UE, receives an indication that the UE has selected a first beam associated with one of the multiple reference signals of the first group and a second beam associated with one of the multiple reference signals of the second group and transmits downlink data to the UE using the first beam and the second beam.

Beam management in multi-TRP operation

A method for operating user equipment (UE) includes generating, by the UE, a transmit precoding matrix indicator (TPMI) list including one or more TPMIs selected from a set of available TPMIs stored at a base station (BS). Data indicative of the TPMI list is transmitted to the BS. An index of the TPMI list is transmitted to the BS. Downlink control information (DCI) is received from the BS including an indication of at least one TPMI from the TPMI list based on the index. Uplink data is transmitted to the BS on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) using the at least one TPMI.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for communications between user equipment. One of the methods includes receiving, by a first device and from a second device, sidelink control information indicating a resource reservation for a single-slot resource for the second device to use to communicate with the first device; determining, by the first device and based at least in part on the sidelink control information, whether a potential resource collision exists when the first device is scheduled to communicate with another device using the single-slot resource or when the single-slot resource is reserved by another device; and in response to determining that the potential resource collision exists, sending, by the first device and within a predetermined number of slots from a reference slot, a collision message to cause the second device to determine another single-slot resource to use to communicate with the first device.

Inter-device communication

This disclosure relates to techniques for performing wireless communications including exchanging information related to capability of processing reference signals. A user equipment device may provide capability information to a network. The capability information may indicate a number of reference signal resources that the user equipment device can process in a slot or other defined period of time. The user equipment device and the network may share a common set of definitions, counting rules, and approaches for interpreting the capability information. The network may configure reference signals for the user equipment device.

The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods to implement a codebook design for Doppler cases. For example, a multiple-input, multiple-output code configuration may be utilized for selecting components.

Codebook design

Uplink transmissions of a mobile device (UE) may be improved in a number of ways. Uplink Transmission Time Interval (TTI) bundling, including both Type-A and Type B PUSCH repetitions, may be implemented with variable TTI bundle sizing. The TTI bundle size may be determined by a base station and communicated to the UE explicitly, or may be determined by the UE implicitly, based on an indicated repetition number and frequency hopping number. The UE may also report frequency hopping (FH) assist information to the base station for use by the base station to more efficiently configure FH for the uplink transmissions. Finally, the UE may use (or maintain) the same transmission power, for each TTI transmit occasion of the same TTI bundle in order to improve (cross-slot) channel estimation accuracy. Power allocation may be prioritized to ensure that at the same time a total power for the uplink transmissions of the UE does not exceed a specified threshold.

Fast secondary cell activation with temporary reference signals

In sidelink carrier aggregation, a first user equipment (UE) transmits data packets to a second UE using a plurality of carriers. The second UE transmits Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) ACK/NACK information for the data packets to the first UE via one or more Physical Sidelink Feedback Channels (PSFCHs). The aggregated carriers may be constrained to have the same PSFCH configuration, or not. Resource selection for PSSCH transmission may be performed by considering scheduled PSFCH so as to conform to transmit capability limitations and/or a half-duplex limitation of the first UE and/or the second UE. The PSFCH may be transmitted on a single carrier of said plurality, but include joint HARQ feedback for each of the carriers. Furthermore, HARQ feedback may be transmitted on a Physical Sidelink Shared Channel (PSSCHs), being signaled by the receive UE (i.e., the UE that transmits the feedback) via sidelink control information (SCI).

Feedback for multi-carrier sidelink communication

A method that determines a resource at a first user equipment (UE) for a sidelink communication from the second UE to a first UE is described. In an exemplary embodiment, the method receives a request from the second UE to send data to the first UE. In addition, the method determines a preconfigured resource selection window that is used by the second UE. Furthermore, the method determines a first sensing result at the first UE. The determined first sensing result includes information to be reported to the second UE for a resource selection. The determined first sensing results has a plurality of first sensing types. Further, the method transmits the first sensing result from the first UE to the second UE.

Methods and apparatus for sidelink resource exclusion for intra-device coordination in wireless communication

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for enhancing non-PMI based CSI reporting for NC-JT in multi-TRP operations, including addressing channel CRI reporting, CQI reporting, RI reporting, and CSI processing complexity and timeline in NC-JT multi-TRP operations. For example, a UE may receive, from a base station, a configuration for a first set of CSI-RS resources for a first TRP (associated with single TRP operation), a second set of CSI-RS resources for a second TRP (associated with single TRP operation), and a third set of pairs of CSI-RS resources for the first TRP and second TRP (associated with multi-TRP operation). The UE may report, to the base station, a CRI report indicating whether the UE prefers single TRP operation from the first TRP or the second TRP, or multi-TRP operation from the first TRP and the second TRP. The CRI report may be based on the configuration.

Methods for non-PMI CSI reporting enhancements for multi-TRP operation

Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) and a network to perform closed-loop transmission power control in a multi-base station environment with out-of-order scheduling. The network may configure a series of transmission power control commands to indicate to the UE transmission power for one or more transmissions to different base stations. The UE may receive the transmission power control commands, consider information including timing and/or resources associated with the transmission power control commands, and determine transmission power for the transmissions.

System and method for closed-loop uplink power control

Techniques of beamforming in reference signal (RS) transmissions, applicable to frequency ranges including frequencies between 52.6 GHz and 71 GHz, are described. Such techniques may include determining a communication channel is unoccupied for an initial duration, determining a number of communication slots of the communication channel to defer for transmission, and counting one or more communication slots of the communication channel that are not in use. The techniques may include determining the number of counted one or more communication slots is not equal to the determined number of communication slots of the communication channel to defer, and transmitting one or more data units based on the determination that the number of the counted one or more communication slots is not equal to the determined number of communication slots of the communication channel to defer.
