A gas sensor is disclosed. The gas sensor can include a housing that has an upper portion and a lower portion. The gas sensor can also include a chamber that is formed in the lower portion of the housing. The chamber can be configured to receive an electrochemical solution. The gas sensor can also include a plurality of electrodes that are formed in the upper portion of the housing. The plurality of electrodes can be molded in the upper portion of the housing and at least partially exposed to the chamber. The gas sensor can further include an access port that is formed in the upper portion. The access port can be configured to provide fluid communication between the an interior of the housing and the outside environs. The gas sensor can be a system-in-package (SiP) sensor.

Electrochemical device

A sensor module for a wearable vital sign monitoring device is disclosed. The sensor module includes a substrate having a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The sensor module also includes a sensor die mounted to the first side of the substrate. The sensor die is configured to monitor a vital sign of a user. The sensor module further includes a waterproof coating that conformally covers the sensor die, at least a portion of the first side of the substrate, and at least a portion of the second side of the substrate.

An optical illuminator assembly such as an integrated module can provide an illumination source for use in applications such as optical detection. A peak output power of the module can be enhanced as compared to other approaches, such as by one or more of controlling parasitic effects along an electrical pathway used to drive an optical emitter circuit included as a portion of the module, or by providing thermal management including establishing thermal conduction pathways through opposite surfaces of an optical emitter circuit such as an integrated circuit die comprising a solid-state optical emitter. Control schemes can be used that power various cells or functional blocks of the optical emitter independently. Thermal regulation can be provided by an active heat transfer element such as a thermoelectric cooler (TEC). An optical illuminator assembly can be optically coupled to a beam-steering device or other elements, such as using a self-aligning mechanical configuration.
