An electrical connector includes an insulative housing having a first insulator integrally formed with the contacts via an insert-molding process, and a second insulator, i.e., the cover, overmolded upon the first insulator wherein an internal cavity is formed within the housing and between the first insulator and the second insulator in the transverse direction, through which a sliding block presses the first insulator in position in the transverse direction during overmolding the second insulator.

An electrical assembly is composed of a receptacle connector and a plug connector adapted to be mated with each other. The plug connector includes an elongated insulative housing forming a receiving space rearwardly recessed from a front mating face thereof with a pair of forwardly extending guiding posts respectively located at two opposite longitudinal ends of said receiving space in the longitudinal direction. A plurality of contacts are disposed in the housing with corresponding contacting sections exposed in the receiving space. A metallic shield is rearwardly assembled upon the housing from a front side of the housing with a pair of bending sections each inserted into the corresponding retaining recess which is terminated behind the front mating face in the front-to-back direction.

An electrical connector includes a metallic shell and a PCB enclosed within the shell. The shell includes a base and a tongue section forwardly extending from the base, and a receiving space extending along the front-to-back direction from the base into the tongue section. The tongue section forms a pair of opposite mating faces with a plurality of openings therein to communicate with the receiving space. A plurality of ribs are formed between every adjacent openings and extend rearwardly into the receiving space in the front-to-back direction. The printed circuit board forms a plurality of notches in a front edge region to receive the corresponding ribs, respectively.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts retained in the housing, a metallic shell enclosing the housing, and the magnets retained by the shell. The housing includes a pair of longitudinal walls and a pair of end walls commonly forming a mating cavity. The contacts are disposed in the longitudinal walls with corresponding contacting sections exposed in the mating cavity. The shell forms receiving cavities to intimately receive the corresponding magnets, respectively. The magnets are secured to the shell by spot-welding so as to not only assure reliable securement therebetween but also keep the completeness of both the magnet and the shell for superior magnetic and shielding effect thereof.

Each of the terminals includes a connecting section extending into the mating space. The electrical connector also includes a pair of pogo pins respectively retained in the two opposite sides of the mating portion. An electrical connector includes a contact module enclosed within a pair of over-molding covers. The contact module includes one row of contacts retained in an insulator via an insert-molding process. Each cover includes a rear base part and a front tongue part extending forwardly from the base part. Each contact has a front contacting section exposed upon the tongue in a vertical direction, and a rear tail section exposed outside of the base. The contacts are exposed upon only one tongue part in the vertical direction.

The shell includes a pair of fixing tabs located at two opposite ends and respectively extending into the slits so as to interfere with the corresponding fastening nut for reliably positioning the fastening nut in the receiving cavity and being adapted to absorb the forces applied upon the fastening nut.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a number of mating contacts fixed in the insulative housing and a shell covering the insulative housing. The insulative housing includes a base portion and a mating portion extending from the base portion. The base portion includes a mounting surface perpendicular to the mating portion. The base portion defines a mounting slot recessed from the mounting surface. The base portion includes two rows of contact receiving slots located at two sides of the mounting slot. The contact receiving slot includes an inner surface and two opposite side surfaces. The mating contact is inserted into the contact receiving slot and interfered with the side surfaces. The electrical connector also includes a fixing member mounted into the mounting slot. The fixing member has a number of fixing projections to engage with two rows of contacts, respectively.

A high frequency electrical connector includes a housing with first and second rows of contacts therein. The housing includes a base and a mating tongue extending forwardly from the base. Each contacts has a contacting section exposed upon the mating surface of the mating tongue, a connection section exposed out of the base, and a middle section therebetween. The first row of contacts as well as the second row of contacts includes a plurality of grounding contacts. First and second shielding plates stacked with each other and commonly between the first row of contacts and the second row of contacts. The first shielding plate has two rows of spring tangs in pairs wherein each pair of spring tangs commonly contact the same grounding contact.

The shielding/grounding blade includes a pair of securing legs at two ends in the transverse direction. Both the securing legs of the shielding/grounding blade and those of the grounding bars are secured to interior surfaces of the two side walls of the outer shell.

An electrical connector includes a pair of terminal modules sandwiching a metallic shielding plate via an insert-molding process and sandwiched between a pair of metallic shells to be commonly enclosed within an insulative front/inner housing via a first stage over-molding process and an insulative rear/outer housing via a second stage over-molding process. The rear housing forms a base from which the mating tongue of the front housing forwardly extends. A plurality of first positioning holes extend through the shielding plate, the pair of insulators, the pair of metallic shells. A plurality of second positioning holes extend through the front housing and the rear housing. The first positioning holes are filled with either glue or material of the rear housing, depending upon positional relation with the corresponding second positioning holes.

An electrical connector including an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts retained in the housing. The housing forms a mating surface for mating with an electronic part, and a supporting/mounting surface on which an FPC is seated. The contact includes a contacting section exposed upon the mating surface, a soldering section extending through the FPC, and a connecting section between the contacting section and the soldering section. A metallic shell is attached upon the housing, facing the FPC direction in the vertical direction to restrict movement of the FPC in a vertical direction. The contacts may be bent after assembly to expose the soldering sections at the mounting face.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts retained in the housing, a metallic shielding shell, and a cable sub-assembly. The contact includes a front mating section and a rear connecting section. The cable sub-assembly includes a plurality of wires and a grounding unit. The wire includes an inner/transmission conductor, an inner insulator, an outer/grounding conductor/layer, and an outer insulator sequentially coaxially arranged with one another. The connecting sections of the contacts are mechanically and electrically connected to the inner conductors of the corresponding wires. The grounding unit includes a grounding bar mechanically and electrically connected to the grounding layers of the corresponding wires and with forwardly extending legs for connection to the shielding shell. Also included is a central shielding plate with extensions at opposite ends for connection to the grounding bar.

A electrical connector includes an insulative elongated housing and first and second metallic shells covering the housing. The housing includes a top surface, a bottom surface, two sides surfaces and a middle surface between the top surface and the bottom surface so as to form a step structure thereof. The primary shell covers the top surface, the bottom surface and two side surfaces, and the secondary shell covers the middle surface and the rear surface which is roughly joined with the middle surface, and further the primary shell on the bottom surface in an overlapped manner so as to avoid any electrical leaking along the front-to-back direction between the primary shell and the secondary shell.
