A touch sensing structure including a plastic substrate, a buffer layer, an electrode layer, an insulation unit, and a passivation layer is provided. The buffer layer is disposed on the plastic substrate, and the electrode layer includes a first patterned transparent electrode layer and a second patterned transparent electrode layer. The first patterned transparent electrode layer is disposed on the buffer layer, and the second patterned transparent electrode layer is disposed on the buffer layer. The insulation unit insulates the first patterned transparent electrode layer and the second patterned transparent electrode layer, and the passivation layer is disposed on the electrode layer. Twice a total optical path length of the electrode layer and the passivation layer along a direction substantially parallel to a normal direction of the plastic substrate ranges from 1000 nm to 2500 nm.

Touch sensing structure

A touch panel includes a substrate, first electrodes, second electrodes, third electrodes, and fourth electrodes. The substrate includes a first touch region, a second touch region, and a first touch folding region disposed between the first touch region and the second touch region. The first electrodes extending from the first touch region to the first touch folding region and the second electrodes are disposed in the first touch region on the substrate. The third electrodes extending from the second touch region to the first touch folding region and the fourth electrodes are disposed in the second touch region on the substrate. The first electrodes and the third electrodes are not intersected with one another. A ratio of any side length of the touch panel to a distance between the first touch region and the second touch region is between 9.5 and 95.

An environmental sensitive electronic device package includes a first substrate, a second substrate, an environmental sensitive electronic device, at least one side wall barrier structure, and a filler layer. The first substrate has at least one predetermined flexure area. The second substrate is located above the first substrate. The environmental sensitive electronic device is located on the first substrate and between the first substrate and the second substrate. The side wall barrier structure is located between the first substrate and the second substrate and surrounds the environmental sensitive electronic device. The side wall barrier structure has at least one flexure stress dispersing structure that is located in the predetermined flexure area. The filler layer is located between the first substrate and the second substrate and covers the side wall barrier structure and the environmental sensitive electronic device.

A triode field emission display is provided. It utilizes the electrical characteristics that an edge structure may raise the electric field intensity to expose an edge of a cathode plate through an opening of a gate layer, thereby forming the edge structure at an emitter to raise the electric field intensity. Therefore, reduction of driving voltage is achieved.

A method for prolonging the life span of a planar light source generating apparatus is provided. The planar light source generating apparatus forms an emitting layer not only on a plurality of cathodes but on a plurality of gates as well. Moreover, an anode of the planar light source generating apparatus is electrically connected to a current sensor for reading out a maximum current density when the planar light source generating apparatus operates. To operate the planar light source generating apparatus, a DC square voltage is applied to the cathodes (or gates) while the gates (or the cathodes) are electrically connected to a ground. Once the current density detected by the current sensor drops to a definite ratio of the maximum value, the external voltage supplying the aforementioned cathodes and the gates are switched. Thus, the life span of the planar light source generating apparatus is prolonged.

Method for prolonging life span of planar light source generating apparatus

A method for improving vacuum is applicable to a process of fabricating a vacuum display. The residual gas or lightwave heating material in the vacuum display is irradiated with at least one type of light source, such that the residual gas in the vacuum display acquires kinetic energy. Then, the residual gas is efficiently absorbed by a vacuum pump or at least one getter, and thereby the vacuum of the vacuum display is improved.

An apparatus for generating a planar light source and method for driving the same is provided. The apparatus for generating a planar light source comprises an emitting layer disposed not only on a cathode electrode, but also on a gate electrode as well. Accordingly, by applying an AC voltage to the apparatus, a duty cycle of the AC voltage can reach 100% so as to enhance the brightness to the extent that the apparatus is applied a DC voltage.

This invention provides an anode plate structure for a flat panel light source of field emission. The structure for the flat panel light source includes an anode plate structure in addition to a known cathode plate structure. The anode plate structure comprises an anode plate and a fluorescent layer formed on the anode plate. The flat panel light source utilizes a cubic-bump structure of the fluorescent layer or a rough surface of the anode plate to increase the lighting areas per unit volume, thereby enhancing the lighting effect of the light source. In the embodiments of the flat panel light source, the rough surface of the anode plate may be formed with a plurality of cubic-bumps, or have a shape of plural concave lenses.

A cathode plate including a substrate, a cathode structure, a gate structure and emission sources is provided. The cathode structure and the gate structure are disposed on the substrate. The emission sources are arranged regularly on the cathode structure. A field emission flat lamp including said cathode plate, an anode plate and a sealant is provided. The sealant is disposed between and seals the cathode plate and the anode plate. Since the volume of each emission source is small, the bubbles resided inside the emission sources can be reduced, such that the qualities of the field emission flat lamp and the cathode plate thereof can be improved.

The present invention provides a field emission system and a method for improving its vacuum. The present invention employs aging surface-unsaturated carbon nanotubes in non-display areas of the field emission system as getter material to absorb residual gas within the system so as to improve its vacuum. The present method for improving vacuum of the field emission system can be integrated with the standard process of a field emission display device without additional fabricating steps, and thus facilitating the mass production of the field emission display device.

A quadrode field emission display is provided, where a low driving voltage is reached by an edge structure, and display in the dark is achieved by adding a sub-gate electrode. With respect to the electrical characteristics that an edge structure may raise the electric field intensity, an edge of a cathode plate through an opening of a gate layer is exposed, thereby forming the edge structure at an emitter to raise the electric field. It also reduces the driving voltage substantially. Therefore, the display in the dark is achieved by adjusting the voltage without changing the structure.

A method for enhancing the luminance and uniformity of a flat panel light source provides a patterned reflective structure to reflect or deflect the light back onto the display area of a field emission display panel and lighten the area which used to be blocked by spacers. The patterned reflective structure may be designed in several places, such as between an end surface of a spacer and the inner surface of an anode substrate, or on the inner surface of the edges of the side-frame between the anode plate and the cathode plate by further coating a reflective material, or on the side-frames surrounding the panel by further coating a reflective material, etc. With such a patterned reflective structure, the luminance and uniformity of a flat panel light source are enhanced.

An anode plate for a field emission display device (FED) is disclosed, which has a substrate; an anode conductive layer formed on the substrate; at least one interspacing conductive band having a plurality of internal gaps for connecting the anode conductive layer and external cable lines, wherein the interspacing conductive band covers a part of the anode conductive layer; and a fluorescent layer located on the anode conductive layer, to serve as a source of luminescence for a field emission display device. The field emission display device includes the anode plate aforesaid as is also disclosed.

The present invention relates to a supporting spacer mounting structure and method for a field emission display. By using a supporting spacer structure being cross-shaped or rectangle-shaped and being made of glass, ceramics or metal, and employing the vacuum absorption of a clipping arm with special design and the real time monitoring of a monitoring lens, the position-aligning is preliminarily performed on a supporting spacer, and then the supporting spacer is positioned on a required location so as to provide the supporting force needed by a display.

Spacers mounting structure and method for a field emission display

A field emission display (FED) having a grid plate with spacer structure and fabrication method thereof. A first wplate having first electrodes and electron emitters on a first surface is provided. A second plate having second electrodes and phosphor regions on a second surface is also provided, wherein the second surface is opposite the first surface. A grid plate with spacer structure and passages having grid electrodes is positioned between the two plates to maintain a predetermined interval. When a specific voltage is applied between the first electrode and the second electrode, electrons extracted from the electron emitters are accelerated by the grid electrodes through the passages to impact the phosphor regions.
