Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may include a user equipment (UE) receiving, in a first time slot, a downlink control information (DCI) message indicating second time slot or first time subslot for transmitting feedback according to a codebook size. The feedback may be transmitted in a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) associated with a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) scheduled by a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). Corresponding subcarrier spacings (SCSs) for at least two of the PUCCH, the PDSCH, and the PDCCH may be different. The PUCCH may be scheduled as time subslots whereas both the PDSCH and the PDCCH may be scheduled as time slots. Further, the UE may monitor a set of one or more PDCCH monitoring occasions (PMOs) based on a mapping in accordance with a corresponding SCS, the PUCCH being scheduled as time subslots, or both, for feedback transmission.

Control channel monitoring occasions for different numerologies and sub-slot-based control channels

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support modulation and coding scheme (MCS) table design for non-Gaussian channels. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication performed at a wireless communication device includes encoding information in accordance with a channel code rate selected from MCS data to generate encoded information. The MCS data represents a MCS table having at least one pair of entries that correspond to different modulation orders and for which a spectral efficiency associated with an entry having a higher modulation order is less than or equal to a spectral efficiency associated with an entry having a lower modulation order. The method further includes transmitting the encoded information to a second wireless communication device. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Modulation and coding scheme (MCS) table design for non-gaussian channels

The method generally includes receiving signaling configuring the first UE with a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode having one or more DRX ON durations for sidelink communications with at least a second UE, and deciding to extend a DRX ON duration of the one or more DRX ON durations configured for the first UE when the first UE is in the DRX ON duration and when one or more conditions are met.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for transmitting two or more transport blocks in an uplink transmission, in which a transmitting device may skip transmissions in some portion of a set of allocated resources for the transport blocks. Uplink data may be encoded to be transmitted via the multiple transport blocks, where a first transport block may have first transport block size that is different than a second transport block size of a second transport block. The transport block sizes may be less than the size of the set of allocated resources, and the transport blocks may be transmitted via the different transmission layers, and a portion of the allocated resources may be unused. The transmitting device may provide an indication of the unused resources for use in decoding the transport blocks.

Aspects are provided which allow a UE to defer HARQ-ACK reporting in PUCCH transmissions according to a configured HARQ-ACK codebook. In one aspect, the UE receives, from a base station, information triggering feedback for DL HARQ processes of the UE, the UE receives a RRC message configuring the feedback to be for less than all of the DL HARQ processes, and the UE reports the feedback based on the information and the RRC message. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a set of frequency domain resources allocated to the UE for communicating data over a wireless channel. The UE may receive an indication of a waveform type associated with the set of frequency domain resources. The waveform type may be based at least in part on a data type of the data, may be used for a defined amount of time, and may be one of a plurality of waveform types that are multiplexed together over different frequency domain resources within a total system bandwidth. The UE may communicate within the set of frequency domain resources according to the indicated waveform type and the data type.

The described techniques relate to improved methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses that support modulation schemes for nonbinary polar coding. For example, the described techniques may enable a transmitting device to perform a modulation of a set of symbols (e.g., bit pairs) that are encoded using a nonbinary polar encoding scheme. For example, the transmitting device may map each symbol of a set of encoded symbols to a constellation point. Additionally, or alternatively, the transmitting device may convert the encoded symbols into strings of bits.
