This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatus, computer programs encoded on computer readable-medium to provide a user equipment (UE) to receive a reference signal from a base station, wherein the reference signal is received within a frequency-time region that overlaps with a control channel frequency-time region, generate information related to a control channel between the UE and the base station based on the reference signal, and transmitting the information to the base station.

Channel state information (CSI) feedback for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH)

Methods, systems, and devices for method for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive first control signaling indicating a first set of communication occasions for periodic transmission or periodic reception in accordance with a first periodicity and may receive second control signaling indicating a second set of communication occasions that differs in timing from the first set of communication occasions. The UE may shift a first occasion of the first set of communication occasions to align the first occasion of the first set of communication occasions within a threshold time period from a first occasion of the second set of communication occasions. The UE may then communicate on the first occasion of the second set of communication occasions and on the first occasion of the first set of communication occasions.

Techniques for aligning communications

Aspects are provided which allow a UE to defer HARQ-ACK reporting in PUCCH transmissions according to a configured HARQ-ACK codebook. In one aspect, the UE receives, from a base station, information triggering feedback for DL HARQ processes of the UE, the UE receives a RRC message configuring the feedback to be for less than all of the DL HARQ processes, and the UE reports the feedback based on the information and the RRC message. In another aspect, the UE reports feedback including a plurality of HARQ-ACK bits in a PUCCH, where each of the HARQ-ACK bits is associated with DL data, and at least one of the DL data is associated with a cancelled PUCCH transmission. The UE may also append to the feedback a HARQ-ACK bit associated with other DL data, where the other data is associated with another cancelled PUCCH transmission.

A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a set of frequency domain resources allocated to the UE for communicating data over a wireless channel. The UE may receive an indication of a waveform type associated with the set of frequency domain resources. The waveform type may be based at least in part on a data type of the data, may be used for a defined amount of time, and may be one of a plurality of waveform types that are multiplexed together over different frequency domain resources within a total system bandwidth. The UE may communicate within the set of frequency domain resources according to the indicated waveform type and the data type.

Mixed waveform communications

The described techniques relate to improved methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses that support modulation schemes for nonbinary polar coding. For example, the described techniques may enable a transmitting device to perform a modulation of a set of symbols (e.g., bit pairs) that are encoded using a nonbinary polar encoding scheme. For example, the transmitting device may map each symbol of a set of encoded symbols to a constellation point. Additionally, or alternatively, the transmitting device may convert the encoded symbols into strings of bits. The transmitting device may accordingly perform bit-to-constellation mapping of the resulting bitstring using an existing mapping scheme or by defining a new mapping scheme. A receiving device may demodulate a received message by performing a demodulation of the set of modulated symbols or bits (e.g., and by converting the bitstring into the set of information symbols).

Modulation schemes for nonbinary polar coding

In some aspects, a receiver device may receive encoded symbols, encoded using nonbinary polar coding, that include a set of information symbols, a set of partially frozen symbols, and a set of frozen symbols, where the set of information symbols and the set of partially frozen symbols indicate information bits, and where the set of information symbols indicate values in a set of values, and the set of partially frozen symbols indicate values in a proper subset of the set of values. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first UE may receive an inter-UE coordination request from a second UE that requests a resource availability report. The first UE may generate the resource availability report indicating at least one slot that is determined to be available by the first UE based on one or more measurements associated with a plurality of sub-slots within the at least one slot. For example, the first UE may determine that a slot is available based on a reference signal received power value obtained from a measurement of demodulation reference signals associated with each of the plurality of sub-slots. The first UE may transmit an inter-UE coordination message to the second UE indicated the resource availability report.

Considerations on channel sensing for sidelink

A transmitting device may transmit, via multiple time-frequency resources using multiple spatial layers, a set of code blocks associated with a codeword. At a first time-frequency resource, each code block of a first subset of the set of code blocks may be mapped to a respective transmission layer, and at a second time-frequency resource, each code block of a second subset of the set of code blocks may be mapped to a respective transmission layer, where the second set of code blocks is staggered from the first set of code blocks. By staggering code blocks across multiple time-frequency resources, a receiving wireless device may cancel out interference of one or more previously decoded code blocks.
