An electrical connector including an insulating body, a first metallic member, a second metallic member, a plurality of terminals, and a metallic shell is provided. The insulating body has a base portion, a thickened step portion, and a tongue portion. The thickened step portion is located at a root of the base portion. The first metallic member and the second metallic member are disposed on an upper surface and a lower surface of the insulating body. The metallic shell is disposed on an exterior of the insulating body to surround the first metallic member, the second metallic member, and the terminals, wherein the front flat contact portion of each of the terminals is exposed out of the tongue portion, and a portion of the first metallic member and a portion of the second metallic member are exposed out of the thickened step portion.

The automotive electrical plug connector includes an insulated housing electrical plug connector includes an insulated housing, plug terminals, terminal fixing plates, and a positioning member. Upper and lower surfaces of the insulated housing has buckling grooves for positioning the terminal fixing plates, so that the front ends of the terminal fixing plates are abutted against the plug terminals, and the plug terminals can be prevented from detaching off terminal grooves of the insulated housing. An electrical receptacle connector includes an insulated housing in a metallic shell. First and second receptacle terminals are on the insulated housing. The receptacle terminals include first and second high-speed signal terminals. The metallic shell includes a receptacle cavity for receiving the insulated housing, an insertion opening being in communication with the receptacle cavity, pins at two sides of the metallic shell and outwardly extending, and an external protruding structure on a bottom surface for connecting to a circuit board. The external protruding structure forms an enclosed structure. Therefore, the seamless configuration improves the reduction to electromagnetic interference.

The plug electrical connector includes a first structural member and a plurality of first terminals, and the first terminals are disposed in the first structural member. An electrical receptacle connector includes a plurality of lower terminals, a lower insulator, a shielding plate, a plurality of upper terminals, an upper insulator and an outer insulator. The lower insulator partially covers the lower terminals and exposes a lower contact area of a lower contact segment of each lower terminal. The shielding plate is assembled onto the lower insulator. The upper insulator partially covers the upper terminals, exposes an upper contact area of an upper contact segment of each upper terminal, and is assembled onto the lower insulator. An electrical plug connector includes a plurality of terminals and an insulator, a pair of grounding latches, a shielding spring and a shielding shell. Each of the terminals has a contacting segment and an elastic segment. Each of the contacting segments has a stopping face. The insulator partially covers the terminals and has a plurality of stopping edges. When the electrical plug connector is inserted into an electrical receptacle connector, shape deformation of each of the elastic segments shifts the corresponding contacting segment until the corresponding stopping edge is against the corresponding stopping face, and each contacting segment does not protrude from the insulator. When the electrical plug connector is not inserted into the electrical receptacle connector, shape recovery of each of the elastic segments restores the corresponding contacting segment and the corresponding stopping edge is away from the stopping face.

An electrical receptacle connector includes a mount member, an insulated housing, first receptacle terminals, second receptacle terminals, and a shielding plate. The insulated housing is molded with the mount member and forms a tongue portion. Each of the first receptacle terminals includes a first flat contact portion and a first tail portion. The first flat contact portion is on a lower surface of the tongue portion, and front ends of the first flat contact portions are held in the tongue portion. Each of the second receptacle terminals includes a second flat contact portion and a second tail portion. The second flat contact portions are on an upper surface of the tongue portion, and front ends of the second flat contact portions are held in the tongue portion. The shielding plate is on the tongue portion and between the first receptacle terminals and the second receptacle terminals.

An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, upper-row receptacle terminals, and lower-row receptacle terminals. The insulated housing is in the receptacle cavity of the metallic shell. The receptacle terminals are held in the base portion and the tongue portion. The tail portions of the power terminals and the tail portions of the ground terminals have three bent portions, i.e., the first bent portion, the second bent portion, and the third bent portion. The bent portions allow the terminals to have different and non-parallel delivering paths for electromagnetic waves, so that the signals do not interfere with each other easily.

An electrical plug connector includes an insulated housing, first terminals, second terminals, a shielding plate, and two side arms. The insulated housing includes first and second assembling surfaces, an insertion cavity, and an insertion opening. The first and the assembling surfaces respectively include first and second hot-melt regions. The insertion cavity is extending from the end of the insulated housing opposite to the insertion opening toward an interior of the insulated housing. The insertion cavity is between the first and the second assembling surfaces. A portion of each of the first terminals and a portion of each of the second terminals are respectively in the first and the second hot-melt regions. The shielding plate is in the insertion cavity and fixed with the insulated housing. The side arms are respectively connected to two ends of the shielding plate and on two sides of the insertion cavity.

Electrical plug connector

An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing received in the metallic shell, receptacle terminals, and a grounding plate. The receptacle terminals and the grounding plate are at the insulated housing. The insulated housing includes a base portion and a tongue portion extending from the base portion. The grounding plate includes a plate body, extension arms, and contact regions. The front of the plate body is near to a front lateral surface of the tongue portion, and the rear of the plate body is extending to the base portion. The plate body is between the receptacle terminals. The extension arms are extending from the plate body. The contact regions are formed on the extension arms and in contact with an inner wall of the shell body. Accordingly, the grounding plate is in contact with the metallic shell for providing grounding and reducing the electromagnetic interference.

Electrical receptacle connector for providing grounding and reducing electromagnetic interference

An electrical plug connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, a grounding plate, a first terminal module, a second terminal module, and a molding block. The first terminal module includes first plug terminals and a first combining block. The second terminal module includes second plug terminals and a second combining block. The insulated housing is received in the metallic shell. The first and the second combining blocks are respectively combined with the first plug terminals and the second plug terminals by insert-molding techniques. Then, the first combining block and the second combining block are respectively assembled to the grounding plate. Next, the molding block is provided to combine the first combining block with the second combining block, so that an assembly of the first terminal module, the second terminal module, and the grounding plate can be firmly assembled to the rear of the insulated housing.

USB type connector having structurally integrated components

A plug terminal includes a main body, a contact portion, and a connecting portion. The contact portion is extending outwardly from the main body, so that the contact portion and the main body form a clamping structure. The contact portion includes a first spring arm and a second spring arm. An inner side of the first spring arm includes adjacent first and second contact protrusions. The second spring arm faces the first spring arm. An inner side of the second spring arm includes adjacent third and fourth contact protrusions. The third contact protrusion faces the first contact protrusion, and the fourth contact protrusion faces the second contact protrusion. Accordingly, when a plug connector is mated with a receptacle connector, the contact area between the connectors can be increased by the plural contact protrusions to guarantee the stability of the electrical contact between plug terminals and receptacle terminals.
