A touch panel including a light guide plate, a plurality of light sources and a plurality of detectors is provided. The light guide plate has a top surface, a bottom surface, a plurality of side surfaces and a plurality of light incident surfaces. The light sources are disposed at the light incident surfaces of the light guide plate, and the light sources have a photocell total reflection angle (&#x3b1;) and a photocell vertical divergence angle (&#x3b2;) corresponding to the light incident surfaces of the light guide plate, wherein &#x3b8;&#x3c;&#x3b1;&#x3c;60&#xb0;, &#x3b8; is a critical angle of the total reflection angle of the light guide plate, and &#x3b2;&#x3c;50&#xb0;. The detectors are disposed corresponding to the light sources so as to receive photocell signals from the light sources.

A light source includes a carrier, a plurality of solid-state light-emitting devices, a light-incoupling component, a first reflector, and a plurality of second reflectors. The solid-state light-emitting devices and the light-incoupling component are configured on the carrier. The light-incoupling component has a bottom surface, a top surface, a plurality of side surfaces adjoining the bottom surface and the top surface, and a through hole extending from the bottom surface to the top surface. The solid-state light-emitting devices are located in the through hole. The first reflector covers the through hole. The second reflectors are configured on the side surfaces. Light emitted from the solid-state light-emitting devices enters the light-incoupling component via a sidewall of the through hole and leaves the light-incoupling component via the top surface thereof.

The present disclosure provides an electronic writing system including a holder, a light guide plate, at least one light source, and at least one optical film. The light guide plate is disposed in the holder, and the light guide plate has at least one light entrance surface and a light exit surface. The light source is disposed on the light entrance surface of the light guide plate, and is used for generating a light. The light enters the light guide plate through the light entrance surface, and the light emits out of the light guide plate from the light exit surface. The optical film covers the light exit surface of the light guide plate.

Electronic writing system and operating method thereof

The light guide plate includes a light guide plate body and a first medium, wherein the refractive index of the light guide plate body is greater than the refractive index of the first medium. The light guide plate body includes a plurality of gaps parallel with each other, wherein the first medium is disposed in those gaps. The light guide plate body further includes a light entrance end, wherein the gaps extend in directions both away and toward the light entrance end. Furthermore, an active region is defined on the light guide plate body and the gaps are located in the active region.

A method for manufacturing a light guide plate includes the following steps. At least one dot area and at least one non-dot area are defined on a mask. A lithography and etching process using the mask is performed a mold to form at least one recess having a rough surface on the mold and leave at least one non-etched microstructure on the mold. The recess corresponds to the non-dot area, and the non-etched microstructure corresponds to the dot area. An injection molding process using the mold is performed to form the light guide plate. The light guide plate has at least one protrusion having a rough surface on the light guide plate and at least one indented microstructure in the light guide plate. The protrusion corresponds to the recess, and the indented microstructure corresponds to the non-etched microstructure.

Backlight module, light guide device, and method for manufacturing light guide plate

A light guide plate includes an incident face, a bottom surface, a main reflective structure and an auxiliary reflective structure. The bottom surface is connected to the incident face. The main reflective structure is disposed on the bottom surface and has a first and a second inclined surface. The auxiliary reflective structure is disposed on the bottom surface and has a third and a fourth inclined surface. The auxiliary reflective structure and the main reflective structure have an interval therebetween, in which the interval ranges between 0.2 micrometer and 0.5 micrometer, and a bottom width of the auxiliary reflective structure on the bottom surface is smaller than a bottom width of the main reflective structure on the bottom surface. A liquid crystal display is also disclosed herein.

LCD and light guide plate thereof

A light guide plate includes a main body, a main reflective structure and an auxiliary reflective structure. The main reflective structure has a first included angle and a second included angle with respect to a bottom surface of the main body. The auxiliary reflective structure is adjacent to the main reflective structure and has a third included angle and a fourth included angle with respect to the bottom surface. A height difference between the main reflective structure and the auxiliary reflective structure ranges between 1.5 micrometer and 5 micrometer, and a bottom width of the auxiliary reflective structure on the bottom surface is smaller than a bottom width of the main reflective structure on the bottom surface. A liquid crystal display is also disclosed herein.

A diffusion plate for use with a lighting module is provided. The diffusion plate includes a substrate, a plurality of circular diffusion structures, and at least one star diffusion structure. The circular diffusion structures are disposed on one face of the substrate in array. Each circular diffusion structure includes a plurality of first partial reflecting units. The first partial reflecting units are disposed on the substrate in circular distribution. The outer arcs of adjacent circular diffusion structures together form a star region. The at least one star diffusion structure includes a plurality of second partial reflecting units. The second partial reflecting units are disposed in the star region on the face of the substrate, wherein the second partial reflecting units are distributed in star distribution.
