A trumpet expandable vertebral device, includes: a center shaft including a cylinder body and an expanding ring connected to each other, wherein the cylinder body has a far end which has an outer thread; and an expandable portion including an end collar, a connection part and plural expandable plates, wherein the expandable portion is located outside and surrounds the center shaft, and the connection part connects the end collar with the plurality of expandable plates; wherein when the expanding ring moves toward the end collar, the trumpet expandable plates are expanded.

Trumpet expandable vertebral device and assembly thereof

An enhanced spine fixation apparatus for fixing a number of vertebrae of a spine column is disclosed. The spine fixation apparatus comprises a plurality of pedicel screws, a plurality of coupling blocks, a plurality of first securing elements, a plurality of second securing elements, a connecting rod, and a plurality of third securing elements. Each coupling block is secured on a pedicel screw by the first securing element while the connecting rod is secured on the coupling block by the second securing element. Each first securing element is fixed by the third securing element. By virtue of the provisions of a first and a second spherical convex surfaces as well as a first and a second recesses respectively on the surfaces of the pedicel screw and the first securing element as well as the surfaces of the coupling block which are being abutted, an adjustment concerning a vertical tilt angle and a horizontal rotating angle of the coupling block relative to the pedicel screw is available. By way of the third securing element, the first securing element is prevented from loosening.

Enhanced spine fixation apparatus

Disclosed in an apparatus for measuring positively-sensed force of an electrical connector, comprising: a base plate; at least one L-shaped pads, the two L-shaped pads being each affixed to the base plate at an upper end thereof in such an arrangement that ends thereof oppose each other; an elastically deformable sheet provided between the two L-shaped pads, the elastically deformable sheet being affixed to the base plate and formed with a projective measuring region at end thereof; and at least one strain gauge inertly affixed to the elastically deformable sheet, the strain gauge beingconnected to a signal transmitting device that outputs strain value of the strain gauge to a signal amplifying device for display purpose in response to deformation of the elastically deformable sheet. While implementing this invention in measuring positively-sensed clamping force of terminals of an electrical connector, bottom ends of the two L-shaped pads and the projective measuring region of the elastically deformable sheet are inserted between the connector terminals. Since the two L-shaped pads each have a thickness being equal to a thickness of a circuit board into which terminals are inserted and accommodating width of the connector terminals, and since the circuit board has a thickness being less than the thickness of the two L-shaped pads and a transverse gap formed between the connector terminals, the elastically deformable sheet is thus deformed while experiencing lateral pressure exerted by the connector terminals. Strain of the deformed sheet is thus measured by the strain gauges provided thereon. Strain signals are transmitted to the signal amplifying device through the signal transmitting device to acquire the positively-sensed clamping force of the connector terminals effected to the circuit board.

A calibration instrument for micro-positively-sensed force, including: a platform support stand having a base with a vise thereon for clamping an elastically deformable strain measuring device to be calibrated, a micro-distance meter at an upper portion of the platform support, a probe connected to and positioned beneath the micro-distance meter, displacement of the probe in vertical direction being adjustable through the micro-distance meter, the probe having a load cell. The load cell and elastically deformable strain measuring device to be calibrated are each connected to a signal transmitting device which outputs the signals thererof to a signal amplifying device so as to display the signals being measured. And, a method for calibrating a calibration instrument for micro-positively-sensed force that uses the calibration instrument to calibrate a precision measuring device.

An anterior spinal fixation system comprises a pair of equal upper and lower vertebral plate systems and at least two rods arranged in parallel. The upper and lower vertebral plate systems each includes a staple vertebral plate and a universal cover plate which are jointed firmly with each other to retain the ends of the rods. Furthermore, the anterior spinal fixation system of the present invention may also comprise at least one connector plate system retain in the middle of the rods so as to enhance supporting strength and effect of anti-twist.

A load sensor inserted between two bones for sensing a stress exerted on the load sensor includes a body, and a load transducer mounted in the body for transducing a strain thereof resulting from the stress into an electronic signal. Such load sensor can detect a stress exerted on a bone graft bone and/or the interaction of the bone graft and spine implant to improve curative effects and increase the successful rate of a bone graft operation.
