A liquid fabric treatment composition suitable for encapsulation in a unit dose pack contains from about 3% by weight to about 8% by weight of an alcohol ethoxylate, from about 10% by weight to about 70% by weight of an encapsulated fragrance slurry; from about 0.5% by weight to about 5% by weight of a rheology modifier; from about 0.1% by weight to about 3% by weight of a pH adjusting agent; and from about to about 5% by weight to about 60% by weight of non-aqueous solvent. The liquid composition is stable at elevated temperatures and has a lower yield stress and a lower storage modulus than a composition having no alcohol ethoxylate.

The viscosity of a mixture of 2 parts of a low water detergent composition to 1 part water can be maintained below 1,000 cp at 1.08 reciprocal seconds where the detergent composition includes about 1% to about 10% by weight of a mixture of IDS, ethanol, and polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 200 to 1,000 Daltons.

Synergistic effects of iminodisuccinic acid on an ethanol and PEG400 blend for rheology control

A detergent composition includes a surfactant component in an amount of about 20 to about 75 weight percent actives based on a total weight of the detergent composition. The surfactant component includes an alkyl ether sulfate, an alkoxylated alcohol, and a linear alkylbenzene sulfonate. The alkyl ether sulfate is present in an amount of greater than about 20 weight percent actives based on a total weight of the surfactant component. A unit dose detergent pack is disclosed. The unit dose detergent pack includes a pouch formed from a water-soluble film and a liquid detergent composition releasably disposed within the pouch. The liquid detergent composition includes an alkanolamine, an acid, a copolymer formed from first and second monomers with the first monomer being diallyldimethylammonium chloride (DADMAC), and an alkali metal sulfite or bisulfite. The copolymer and the alkali metal sulfite or bisulfite interact with at least one of the alkanolamine and the acid to reduce discoloration of the liquid detergent composition.

The present disclosure also provides a unit dose laundry detergent product including: a water-soluble polymeric film; a detergent composition encapsulated by the water-soluble polymeric film, the detergent composition including: (a) at least one anionic surfactant, (b) at least one non-ionic surfactant, (c) at least one cationic cellulosic polymer, (d) at least one dye transfer inhibitor polymer, (e) at least one anti-redeposition polymer, and (g) water. Methods of making and using the disclosed laundry detergent compositions are also provided.
