A wireless communication device that includes a power amplifier and an antenna is provided. The power amplifier includes a first and a second power amplifying paths and a first and a second matching modules. The first and the second power amplifying paths receive a first and a second input signals respectively. The first matching module includes a first input variable load and a first phase-shifting circuit to respectively adjust the magnitude and the phase of the first input signal to generate a first output signal. The second matching module includes a second input variable load and a second phase-shifting circuit to respectively adjust the magnitude and the phase of the second input signal to generate a second output signal. The antenna is coupled to the power amplifier to transmit the first and the second output signals.

Wireless communication device, method and power amplifier of the same

An antenna system includes a ground plane, a microstrip-line coupler, a metal cover, and a main antenna. The microstrip-line coupler has a first input port, a second input port, a first output port, and a second output port. The metal cover is disposed above the microstrip-line coupler and coupled to the ground plane. The main antenna is coupled to the first output port and the second output port of the microstrip-line coupler. The metal cover is configured to reduce the interference from the microstrip-line coupler and to enhance the gain of the main antenna.

Small-size antenna system with adjustable polarization

A mobile device at least includes a dielectric substrate, an antenna array, and a transceiver. The antenna array at least includes a first antenna and a second antenna. The first and second antennas are both embedded in the dielectric substrate. The first and second antennas have different polarizations. The transceiver is coupled to the antenna array so as to transmit or receive a signal. The polarization of the antenna array may be dynamically adjusted by controlling a phase difference between the first antenna and the second antenna.

A tunable impedance matching circuit is provided for matching a signal source to an impedance of an antenna. The tunable impedance matching circuit includes two terminals, a series path, and two shunt paths. The first terminal is coupled to the signal source, and the second terminal is coupled to the antenna. The series path is coupled between the first terminal and the second terminal and includes a first tunable capacitor and at least one tunable inductor. One of the two shunt paths is coupled between the first terminal and a ground end, and the other one of the two shunt paths is coupled between the second terminal and the ground end. Each of the shunt paths includes a second tunable capacitor.

The matching circuit is configured to provide variable impedance between the antenna and the RF circuit, wherein the matching circuit includes a first element having a first terminal and a second terminal, and wherein the first terminal is coupled to the antenna; a second element having a third terminal connected to the second terminal of the first element and a fourth terminal coupled to the RF circuit; a first tuning cell connected to the second terminal of the first element and the third terminal of the second element, and comprising a first tuning element, a second tuning element and a first control element, wherein the first control element determines whether to make a first node connected between the first and second tuning elements couple to a voltage level.

Electronic device for processing radio frequency signals and matching circuit for providing variable impedance

A mobile device at least includes a dielectric substrate, an antenna array, and a transceiver. The antenna array includes a first antenna, a second antenna, and a third antenna. The third antenna is disposed between the first and second antennas so as to reduce coupling between the first and second antennas. The first, second and third antennas are all embedded in the dielectric substrate and substantially arranged in a straight line. Each of the first and second antennas is a transmission antenna and the third antenna is a reception antenna, or each of the first and second antennas is a reception antenna and the third antenna is a transmission antenna. The transceiver is coupled to the antenna array and is configured to transmit or receive a signal.

An electronic device for processing radio frequency signals includes an antenna, an RF circuit, and a matching circuit. The matching circuit provides variable impedance between the antenna and the RF circuit. The antenna is capable of operating in a first frequency band or a second frequency band according to the variable impedance The matching circuit includes a first element; a second element; a first tuning cell connected to the first element and the second element, and comprising a first tuning element, a second tuning element and a first control element, the first control element determining whether to make a first node connected between the first and second tuning elements couple to a voltage level according to a first control signal; and a selecting circuit coupled to the first control element and configured to generate the first control signal so as to adjust the variable impedance.
