A display system includes first and second systems. First system includes first panel, first set of gate driver circuits, and first set of integrated source driver circuits, Second system includes second panel, second set of gate driver circuits, and second set of integrated source driver circuits. First set of integrated source driver circuits are cascaded-connected; the second set of integrated source driver circuits are cascaded-connected; a last one in the first set of integrated source driver circuits is coupled to a first one of the second set of integrated source driver circuits via an auxiliary communication port based on an auxiliary communication protocol; an auxiliary communication signal having frame start, frame resolution information of first system, and a system enable bit of first system is transmitted to second system via auxiliary communication port to synchronize image display operation of first system with image display operation of second system.

Display systems and integrated source driver circuits

The present invention provides a protection circuit and related operation control method to enable the PFM circuit when the operating duration of the PFM circuit is not greater than a first threshold, and disables the PFM circuit when a rest duration of the PFM circuit is not greater than a second threshold. The present invention further provides a protection circuit and related operation control method to avoid starting excessive vertical scanning operations within one frame scanning period by masking one of the gate scanning start signal STV, the gate clock signal CKV and the gate discharge signal OEV. The present invention further provides a protection circuit and related operation control method to disable the gate scanning start signal STV when the number of clock cycles is not equal to a target number of clock cycles, which protects the gate driver from overload.

Power circuit, gate driver and related operation control method for multi-source display system

A method for driving an organic light emitting display (OLED) panel having a plurality of organic light emitting diodes is provided. The organic light emitting diodes are coupled to a plurality of segment lines and a plurality of common lines in a matrix structure. The organic light emitting diodes coupled to the same common lines are divided into a plurality of groups according to colors of the OLED panel. Driving currents are provided to the organic light emitting diodes of the groups according to a plurality of pulse width modulation (PWM) manners. The PWM manners generate waveforms having pulse width corresponding to grayscale in a period, wherein each PWM manner corresponds to different colors of the OLED panel.

Methods for driving an OLED panel

An organic memory at least includes a number of select lines, a number of data lines, a bit cell array, and a number of digital sensing circuits. The bit cell array includes a number of bit cells, wherein each bit cell includes an organic memory cell and a switch element. Each digital sensing circuit includes a current-to-voltage converter and a sensing block circuit. Therefore, a complete digital sensing mechanism of an organic memory IC is formed and is practicable and suitable for mass-production.

Sensing circuit for organic memory

A memory array including a plurality of programmable memory cells, a plurality of column lines and a plurality of row lines is introduced. Each of the programmable memory cells is coupled to corresponding one of the column lines and corresponding one of the row lines. Each of the programmable memory cells includes an organic memory cell and an active switching element. The active switching element is controlled by the column line and interposed between the row line and the organic memory cell. Under controlling of the column line, the active switching element is turned on to coupling the row line and the organic memory cell to connect to each other.

Programmable memory cell and operation method

A digital sensing circuit capable of sensing bit information stored in a bit cell of an organic memory is provided. The digital sensing circuit includes a current-to-voltage converter, a reset block circuit, and a sensing block circuit. The current-to-voltage converter converts a conduction current into a voltage signal. The sensing block circuit buffers and outputs the bit information according to the voltage signal. Therefore, the challenge of design and layout of the present invention is very low so that the yield rate will be improved. Hence, a practical memory device suitable for mass-production is achieved.

Digital sensing circuit

A bit cell of an organic memory is provided. The bit cell of the organic memory comprises an organic memory cell, a first transistor, a current mirror and a second transistor. To connect the organic memory cell to a data line, the first transistor is activated for reading and the second transistor is activated for writing. Furthermore, the first transistor has a greater size than the second transistor. Therefore, a fast processing time in writing and a large conduction current in reading are catered for. In addition, the current mirror amplifies the conduction current in reading and increases the capacity for resisting the interference by adjacent bit cell.

Bit cell of organic memory

The present invention provides a method for modulating backlight sources for flat panel displays (FPD), which comprises: lowing steps: step: turning on a display screen; step: identifying whether the total number of the BLL groups provided on the backlight module is an odd number or an even number; step: turning on the one BLL group located at the center-most region of the backlight module while the total number of the BLL groups is an odd number; step: turning on the two BLL groups located at the center-most region of the screen while the total number of the BLL groups is an even number; step: turning on the two backlight groups located at the two outer side of the center turned-on backlight groups while turning off the center turned-on backlight groups, and similarly, progressing the turning-on and the turning-off from the center region to the two outer edge of the backlight module and then reverse-progressing respectively from the two edges to the center region, so as to complete a full cycle; step: determining whether the display screen is off; if so, the process proceeds to step (); otherwise, the process goes to step (); and step: ending the process.
