A rapid shutdown device (RSD) includes: a logic-and-analog circuit; an RSD ID storage for storing an unique RSD ID; a control command receiving circuit for receiving and decode a control command including a combination of an all-RSD turn-on command, a single-RSD turn-on command and a to-be-tested RSD ID; a switch circuit connected to the logic-and-analog circuit; and a bypass circuit connected between two output terminals of the RSD. When the switch circuit is turned off, the bypass circuit is turned on. The logic-and-analog circuit controls the on/off state of the switch circuit according to a decoding result of the control command receiving circuit and the unique RSD ID stored in the RSD ID storage. When the switch circuit is turned on, an output voltage received from a photovoltaic module coupled to the RSD is outputted via the RSD.

The present invention discloses a resonant wireless power transmitter circuit, which has an input impedance. The resonant wireless power transmitter circuit includes: a driver circuit coupled with a power supply, which includes at least a power switch; a switching resonant control circuit coupled with the driver circuit, such that the driver operates at a pre-determined or a variable resonant frequency; an adjustable impedance matching circuit coupled with the driver circuit, which includes at least a varactor; a transmitter circuit coupled with the impedance matching circuit and the driver circuit, which includes at least a transmitter coil; and an impedance control circuit coupled with the adjustable impedance matching circuit and the driver circuit, which provides an impedance control signal to control the reactance of the varactor, such that the input impedance of the resonant wireless power transmitter circuit is matched at the pre-determined or the variable resonant frequency.

Resonant wireless power transmitter circuit and control circuit and control method thereof

A rapid shutdown (RSD) control circuit includes: a RSD controller having first and second terminals coupled to first and second terminals of a photovoltaic cell module, respectively; a transistor having a gate coupled to the RSD controller, a source coupled to the second terminal of the photovoltaic cell module, and a drain; and a diode coupled between the drain of the transistor and the first terminal of the photovoltaic cell module. In a normal state, controlled by the RSD controller, the transistor is controlled to have a first impedance state and the photovoltaic cell module outputs an output power to an inverter. In a shutdown state, controlled by the RSD controller, the transistor and the diode are controlled as a variable impedance, and thus a voltage between the first terminal and the second terminal of the photovoltaic cell module is regulated to a desired voltage.

Photovoltaic cell system and rapid shutdown (RSD) control circuit and method

Architecture and design techniques for a single inductor multiple-output (SIMO) DC-DC converter are presented. The SIMO DC-DC converter is based on ordered-power-distributive-control (OPDC) scheme with several novel control mechanism to optimize the performance of the power delivery capability, conversion efficiency and voltage ripple. In addition to buck mode outputs, the new SIMO DC-DC converter can also have an output channel operating at auto-buck-boost mode for the input voltage varying with the usage time.

Single-inductor multiple-output DC-DC converter

The present invention provides a resonant wireless power transmitter circuit, including: a load circuit, a power conversion circuit which is coupled between an input power supply and the load circuit, and a phase detection and control circuit. The power conversion circuit includes plural power switches and a current sensing device. The plural power switches operate with an operating frequency to convert the input power supply to an output power for driving the load circuit, wherein the load circuit has a load current. The load current has a load current phase difference from the switching frequency. The phase detection and control circuit detects a voltage difference between the current inflow terminal and the current outflow terminal of the current sensing device within a dead time in which the plural power switches are not conductive. The voltage difference corresponds to the load current phase difference.

A single inductor multiple-output DC-DC converter includes an inductor coupled to a first input switch and a second input switch to store energy from supply source, wherein the first input switch is coupled to an input supply node, and the second input switch is coupled to ground, the first and the second switches controlling current through the inductor; a plurality of output switches, each output switch coupled to a common inductor node and to a corresponding output supply node, each of the output supply node having a voltage converted from an input voltage received at an input supply node; a freewheel switch coupled between the common inductor node and ground; a control circuit receiving a sensed inductor current and a plurality of feedback signals indicating error signals between output voltages and their corresponding reference voltages, the control circuit being configured to control timing and charging current of the inductor.

Single-inductor multiple-output DC/DC converters with pulse-skipping mode and deadtime switch control

In a SIBO boost converter, an inductor current flows from an input to ground through an inductor and a first switch to energize the inductor. The inductor releases energy stored thereof and the inductor current flows from the inductor to ground via a second switch and a first capacitor to charge the first capacitor and to produce a first positive output thereon. The inductor is energized by the input and the inductor current flows from the inductor to a third capacitor through two third switches to charge the third capacitor and to produce a second positive output thereon. The third capacitor is discharged through two fourth switches to charge a second capacitor of the capacitors to produce a negative output thereon. Timing for producing the second positive output is non-overlapped with timing for producing the negative output.

Provided is a control method for controlling a SIBO buck-boost converter including a first switch coupled between an input and a first node, a second switch coupled between the first node and GROUND, a third switch coupled between a second node and GROUND, a fourth switch coupled between the second node and a first output node for outputting the positive output, a fifth switch coupled between the first node and a second output node for outputting the negative output, and an inductor coupled between the first node and the second node. The first and the third switches are turned on to energize the inductor. The first and the fourth switches are turned on to generate a positive output. The third and the fifth switches are turned on to generate a negative output.

In the Resonance Short Circuit Operation, a positive resonant output node and a negative resonant output node are short-circuited by the multi-mode switch circuit.

The present invention provides a resonant wireless power receiver circuit, comprising: a resonant circuit for receiving a wireless power to generate a AC resonant signal which has an amplitude; a bridge rectifier circuit which includes a multi-mode switch, for rectifying the AC resonant signal to a rectifier output signal to drive a load, wherein the rectifier output signal includes a rectifier output voltage and a rectifier output current; and a feedback control circuit for generating a switch control signal according to a feedback signal related to the rectifier output signal to control the multi-mode switch to operate in a Conductive Operation at least for a partial time in a cycle period, such that the rectifier output voltage is substantially twice the amplitude, or the rectifier output voltage corresponds to an output voltage reference and/or the rectifier output voltage corresponds to an output current reference.

A resonant wireless power receiver circuit includes an adjustable impedance matching circuit and a receiver circuit, the impedance matching circuit and the receiver circuit in combination receive a wireless power and generate a resonant output. A rectifier is coupled to the combination of the adjustable impedance matching circuit and the receiver circuit to rectify the resonant output to generate a rectified output.
