One or more computer processors determine a runtime feature set for a first container, wherein the runtime feature set includes aggregated temporally collocated container behavior. The one or more computer processors cluster the first container with one or more peer containers or peer pods based on a shared container purpose, similar container behaviors, and similar container file structure. The one or more computer processors determine an additional runtime feature set for each peer container. The one or more computer processors calculate a variance between the first container and each peer container. The one or more computer processors, responsive to the calculated variance exceeding a variance threshold, identify the first container as anomalous.

Clustered container protection

Context information of a handshake between a source entity and a target entity is obtained at a security proxy. The context information is transmitted from the security proxy to a key manager. The key manager maintains a first private key of the security proxy. A first handshake message is received from the key manager. The first handshake message is generated at least based on the context information and signed with the first private key. The first handshake message is then transmitted to the target entity.

Private key management

A method, a computer program product, and a system for implementing a dynamic virtual database honeypot. The method includes relaying a query request received from a database client to a database and receiving, from the database, a response relating to the query request. The method also includes determining the query request is an attack on the database based on session information relating to the database and the database client, generating a honey token based on information contained within the response, generating an alternate response formatted in a same format as the response and containing artificial information that masks the information contained within the response. The method further includes inserting the honey token into the alternate response and transmitting the alternate response to the database client.

Dynamic virtual honeypot utilizing honey tokens and data masking

Preventing Transport Layer Security session man-in-the-middle attacks is provided. A first security digest generated by an endpoint device is compared with a second security digest received from a peer device. It is determined whether a match exists between the first security digest and the second security digest based on the comparison. In response to determining that a match does not exist between the first security digest and the second security digest, a man-in-the-middle attack is detected and a network connection for a Transport Layer Security session is terminated with the peer device.

Embodiments provide a system and method for stateless session synchronization between inspectors for high availability deployments. Man in the Middle inspectors of a communication session between a client and server exchange a shared key that is used as a common seed value in a mapping function algorithm. Each inspector generates identical key-pairs using the common mapping function algorithm, and the inspectors generate the session keys from the key-pairs. Inspectors use the session keys to decrypt and either actively or passively inspect data transferred in a session between a client and server.

Stateless session synchronization between secure communication interceptors

Embodiments are directed to a method of monitoring a suspicious file, including: receiving, from a web server, a first file; encrypting, by an intermediary network device, the first file; transferring the encrypted file, from the intermediary network device, to an end device; transferring the first file, from the intermediary network device, to a malware analysis device for a malware analysis; and receiving a malware analysis result, from the malware analysis device. If the malware analysis result indicates the first file is not a malware, requesting a key; decrypting the encrypted file using the key; and accessing the decrypted file.

Security mechanism for suspicious files

Aspects of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and system for domain name classification. The method includes one or more processors receiving a request for querying a first domain name. The method further includes one or more processors acquiring a first source internet protocol (IP) address and the first domain name from the request. In response to determining the first domain name is not classified, the method further includes one or more processors an access tendency of the first source IP address based on a plurality of classifications of a plurality of domain names queried by the first source IP address. The method further includes one or more processors estimating a first classification of the first domain name based on the access tendency of the first source IP address.

Classification of a domain name

A technique to secure a wireless communication link that is being shared among a wireless access point (AP), and each of a set of wireless clients (each a mobile station (STA)) that are coupled to the AP over the communication link. A typical implementation is a WPA2-PSK communication link. In this approach, and in lieu of a single secret key being shared by all AP-STA pairs, each AP-STA pair derives its own unique WLAN shared secret, preferably via a Diffie-Hellman (DH) key exchange. The WLAN shared secret is then used to generate WPA2-PSK keys, namely, pairwise master key (PMK) and pairwise transient key (PTK), that establish an 802.11 standards-compliant secure link.

An embodiment of the invention may include a method, computer program product and system for secure authentication within a communication protocol session. The embodiment may include retrieving, by a client computer of the TLS session, a challenge string associated with the TLS session. The embodiment may include generating, by the client computer, a first digest based on the challenge string and authentication information of a user of the client computer. The embodiment may include sending, by the client computer, the first digest to a server of the TLS session. The retrieving, generating and sending, by the client computer, are carried out after the TLS session has been established between the client computer and the server.

Secure authentication in TLS sessions

Optimizing receive side scaling (RSS) key selection is provided. Different weights are assigned to different fields of flow data corresponding to a network connection of a registered client device. A score is generated representing an amount of balanced processor loading for each RSS key corresponding to the registered client device based on the different fields of the flow data with assigned weights. A current RSS key on the registered client device is updated with an optimal RSS key based on the score corresponding to the optimal RSS key representing balanced loading of processors on the registered client device.

Optimizing receive side scaling key selection using flow data

A computer network endpoint is secured to prevent information leak or other compromise by instantiating in memory first, second and third security zones. With respect to an authorized user, the first zone is readable and writable, the second zone is read-only, and the third zone is neither readable nor writable. System information (e.g., applications, libraries, policies, etc.) are deployed into the first zone from the second zone. When sensitive data is generated in the first zone, e.g., when a secure communication session is established using a cryptographic key, the sensitive data is transferred from the first zone to the third zone, wherein it is immune from information leak or other compromise. The sensitive information is transferable from the third zone to one or more external having a need to know that information. Because information does not pass directly from the first security zone to the external systems, the endpoint is secured against information leak or other attack.

Securing an endpoint in a computer network

Establishing Transport Layer Security/Secure Sockets Layer (TLS/SSL) sessions with destination servers for Internet of Things (IoT) devices is provided. A request is sent to establish a TLS/SSL session with a target destination server in a set of destination servers using destination server information related to a particular IoT device in a plurality of IoT devices. A TLS/SSL session is established with the target destination server corresponding to the particular IoT device. TLS/SSL session credential information is received for the particular IoT device from the target destination server. The TLS/SSL session credential information for the particular IoT device is saved in a session credential information table. The TLS/SSL session is suspended with the target destination server corresponding to the particular IoT device.
