Disclosed are a test system and a test method for a DRAM module of an INTEL system. The test system includes at least one memory module slot and a processing unit. When performing a test, a memory temperature sensing of a BIOS is turned off through an operating system. Then, an operation register in the INTEL central processing unit that has a function of connecting the DRAM module is detected, and a memory module transfer register determines whether the DRAM module is correctly plugged in. Then, the operation register accesses the EEPROM of the DRAM module, and writes test data to and reads the test data from the EEPROM by switching different storage pages of the EEPROM to complete the test.

Test system and test method for dynamic random access memory module of intel system

A test system for a DRAM module of an AMD system is configured to verify information write and read functions of an EEPROM included in the DRAM module. The test system includes at least one memory module slot and a processing unit. The at least one memory module slot is configured for insertion of the DRAM module. The DRAM module includes the EEPROM. After an operating system controlling the processing unit, an IC operation register of the processing unit can access the DRAM module through an IC bus, and can write test data to and read the test data from the EEPROM. When the test data does not have sample data, it can be replaced by serial presence detection information.

Test system for dynamic random access memory module of AMD system

A method and a system for controlling a status indication light of a Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIE) hard disk are disclosed. The method includes determining a current operation mode of the PCIE hard disk and transmitting information of the current operation mode to a southbridge chip by a CPU. The information is transmitted to a complex programmable logic device (CPLD) by the southbridge chip. The display of the status indication light corresponding to the current operation mode is controlled according to the information by the complex programmable logic device. The CPLD is controlled by the southbridge chip, to control display control of the status indication light corresponding to reset and locate operation of the PCIE hard disk. The usage status of the PCIE hard disk may be determined in real time by performing Hamming check to the information, and the accurate display of status indication light may be ensured.

Method and system for controlling status indication light of PCIE hard disk drive

The configuring device and method of expander configuration file of a storage system of present invention are to store a configuration file template for configuring the expanders, and to modify the configuration file template to the adapted configuration file corresponding to each expander when configuring the plurality of expander configuration files. The technical solution of the present invention can satisfy the requirement of configuring configuration file to each expander by storing configuration file template only, saving the storage space greatly, and can automatically proceed the modification according to an innovative algorithm without under the risk of error updating.

Device and method for configuring expander configuration file of a storage system

A storage control device comprises a storage control module and a memory module. The storage control module is coupled between a central processing unit and a plurality of hard disk drives. The memory module is coupled with the storage control module and keeps a plurality of configuration files and a firmware for being executed by the storage control module. In one embodiment, the storage control module comprises at least one general-purpose input/output (GPIO) port and selects, according to whether the GPIO port is at a logical high or low electric potential, one of the configuration files to configure the firmware. The selected configuration file is invoked from a memory area of the memory module. In one embodiment, the storage control device further comprises at least one jumper point and selects, according to an open/close status of the jumper point, one of the configuration files to configure the firmware.

Storage control devices and invoking method thereof

A storage control device comprises storage control and memory modules coupled with each other. The memory module keeps a first Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) address. In one embodiment the memory module further keeps a firmware which the storage control module executes to invoke the first SAS address to facilitate data communication. To invoke the first SAS address, in one embodiment the storage control module fetches a bit string from the memory module. The bit string is written into a data structure that is returned to the storage control module when it is determined that the bit string is a SAS address. In one embodiment the memory module further keeps a configuration file which the storage control module invokes to operate. The configuration file comprises a second SAS address, which is not invoked by the storage control module unless the bit string is not a SAS address.
