A power supply circuit for powering first and second groups of hard disk drives in a cabinet, includes a connector and first to third connection units. When there is only one server in the cabinet, the first node is connected to the first power terminal of the connector, the first connection unit is turned on, and the second connection unit is turned off. When there are two servers in the cabinet, the first and second nodes are respectively connected to the first and second power terminals of the connector, the first connection unit is turned on, and the second and third connection units are turned off.

Power supply circuit for hard disk drive

A mounting device for mounting a number of fans includes a rack and a number of fixing members. The rack includes a bottom wall and two sidewalls perpendicularly extending up from opposite sides of the rack. Each sidewall defines a number of vents spaced along the lengthwise of the sidewall. Each fixing member includes a board perpendicularly mounted to the bottom wall and positioned at a side of two aligning vents, and a blocking member mounted to the board and slidable along the lengthwise of the sidewalls to block a top of a fan.

A motherboard assembly includes a motherboard and an expansion card. The motherboard includes an expansion slot, a storage device interface, a power connector, and a central processing unit (CPU). The expansion slot includes a protrusion, first signal pins connected to the CPU, first power pins connected to the power connector. The expansion card includes a circuit board. A storage unit, a display unit, a power circuit, and a serial advanced technology attachment (SATA) connector connected to the storage unit and the storage device interface of the motherboard are all arranged on the circuit board. An edge connector is arranged on a bottom edge of the circuit board and includes second power pins connected to the power circuit, and second signal pins connected to the display unit.

An electronic device includes a circuit board with a number of expansion slots arranged on the circuit board for connecting a number of expansion cards, and a guiding member inserted in one idle expansion slot of the expansion slots for guiding airflow to the expansion cards at opposite sides of the idle expansion slot.

A protection circuit includes a switch circuit, a sample circuit, a comparison circuit, and a relay circuit. The switch circuit is connected between a hard disk power supply and a hard disk to control whether to output power from the hard disk power supply to the hard disk. The sample circuit samples the voltage being supplied to the hard disk, the comparison circuit receives the sampled voltage, compares the sampled voltage to a reference voltage, and controls the switch circuit to be turned on or off accordingly. The relay circuit is connected between a system power supply and an enable terminal of the comparison circuit. The relay circuit outputs a high level signal to turn on the switch circuit when the system power supply is being supplied and the hard disk power supply is not being supplied to the hard disk.

Protection circuit for hard disk

A motherboard assembly includes a motherboard and an expansion card. The motherboard includes an expansion slot, a hard disk drive (HDD) controller, a power connector, and a central processing unit (CPU). The expansion slot includes a protrusion, idle pins connected to the HDD controller, power pins connected to the power connector, signal pins connected to the CPU. The expansion card includes a circuit board. A storage unit, a display unit, and a power circuit connected to the storage unit and the display unit are all arranged on the circuit board. A notch is defined in a bottom side of the circuit board, to receive the protrusion. An edge connector is arranged on a bottom side of the circuit board and includes control signal pins connected to the storage unit, power pins connected to the power circuit, and bus signal pins connected to the display unit.

An exemplary Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIE) interface card is electrically coupled to a CPU. The PCIE interface card includes a circuit board, a first PCIE interface module arranged on the circuit board, at least one second PCIE interface module arranged on the circuit board, and a PCIE switch arranged on the circuit board. The PCIE switch is electrically coupled to the first PCIE interface module and the at least one second PCIE interface module. The PCIE switch transmits data from the CPU to the first PCIE interface module, and exchanges data between the CPU and the at least one second PCIE interface module.

Peripheral component interconnect express interface card with a switch

A network wake up system includes a network card, a controller, a south bridge chip, and a baseboard management controller (BMC). The network card receives a network wake up data packet, and outputs a network wake up signal. The BMC determines whether a temperature of the computer is in a predetermined temperature range and determines whether a voltage of the computer is normal, and outputs a state signal to the controller. If the temperature of the computer is in the predetermined temperature range and the voltage of the computer is normal, the controller wakes up the computer at the power-off state. If the temperature of the computer is not in the predetermined temperature range or the voltage of the computer is abnormal, the controller fails to output the network wake up signal to the south bridge chip, so that the computer at the power-off state cannot be woken up.

Network wake up system with protection function

A motherboard assembly includes a motherboard having an expansion slot and a storage device interface, and a serial advanced technology attachment dual in-line memory module (SATA DIMM) with a circuit board. A control chip and a storage chip are arranged on the circuit board. Two voids are defined in a top side of the circuit board. A first extending board is formed on the top side of the circuit board between the voids. An edge connector is arranged on the first extending board and connected to a power supply. The edge connector includes power pins connected to the control chip and the storage chip. A second extending board is extended from an end edge of the circuit board and includes a connector connected to the storage device interface of the motherboard. A bottom side of the second extending board is in alignment with a bottom side of the circuit board.
