A hinge assembly has a pintle, a stationary leaf, a rotating leaf, a rotating pressing disk, a stationary pressing disk, a biasing assembly and a fastener. The rotating pressing disk is mounted rotatably around the pintle, is attached non-rotatably to the rotating leaf and has a track face, an inner track and an outer track. The stationary pressing disk is mounted securely around the pintle and has a protrusion face, an inner protrusion and an outer protrusion. The inner and outer protrusions respectively contact slidably with the inner and outer track on the rotating pressing disk. With the arrangement of the inner and outer tracks on the rotating pressing disk and the inner and outer protrusions on the stationary pressing disk, the resistance provided by the hinge assembly is variable.

Hinge assembly

A sliding hinge for a portable electronic device has a stationary leaf, a link assembly, a main sliding leaf and a side sliding leaf. The linking assembly is mounted pivotally on the stationary leaf via a pivoting middle. The main and side sliding leaves are connected respectively to two ends of the linking assembly. With the linking assembly, the main and side sliding leaves are moved simultaneously. Therefore, when the portable electronic device is not used, the main and side sliding leaves fully overlap with the stationary leaf to achieve a smallest footprint. When the portable electronic device performs multiple functions, the main and side sliding leaves are slid out to reveal control buttons.

Sliding hinge and a portable electronic device

A hinge is mounted between a cover and a base of an electronic device. A lid covers the hinge and is attached securely to the base. The hinge has an arced surface and a rotating shaft. When the cover is pivoted to a certain angle, the rotating shaft abuts the arced surface to lift up the cover so the cover is selectively distant away from the lid. Therefore, the shape of the electronic device does not need to be disfigured and the cover still does not bump against the lid.

Hinge and an electronic device with the hinge

A hinge is mounted between a cover and a base of an electronic device. A lid covers the hinge and is attached securely to the base. The hinge has a cam wing, a sleeve, a rotating shaft and a pin. The rotating shaft is mounted slidably in the sleeve. The pin is mounted slidably and transversely through the sleeve, is attached securely to the rotating shaft and slides along the outer edge of the cam wing. When the cover is pivoted to a certain angle, the pin slide at part of the cam wing having larger diameter to gradually lift up the cover so the cover is selectively distant away from the lid. Therefore, the shape of the electronic device does not need to be disfigured and the cover still does not bump against the lid.

A stable hinge is mounted between a cover and a base of an electrical appliance and has a rotating bracket, two shaft assemblies, a stationary bracket, a stationary bracket and a positioning assembly. The shaft assemblies are mounted respectively on two sides of the rotating bracket and are mounted securely in the cover. The stationary bracket connects pivotally to the rotating bracket and is mounted securely in the base. The spacer assembly has a positioning spacer and a rotating spacer. The positioning spacer connects rotatably to the rotating bracket is mounted securely in the stationary bracket and has two resilient bends. The rotating spacer connects securely to the rotating bracket is mounted rotatably in the stationary bracket and has two resilient bends selectively abutting the resilient bends of the positioning spacer. The positioning assembly is formed between the positioning spacer and the rotating spacer.

Stable hinge

A hinge has a first bracket, a pivot pin, a second bracket and two torsion spring assemblies. The first bracket has a support and two holders. The pivot pin is mounted rotatably through the support and the holders on the base of the first bracket. The second bracket is mounted to the pivot pin. The torsion spring assemblies are mounted on the pivot pin and correspond respectively to the holders on the first bracket. Each torsion spring assembly has a disk and a torsion spring. The disk is mounted securely to the pivot pin and has a spring hook. The torsion spring is mounted around the pivot pin and has two ends. One end is mounted securely on the corresponding holder, and the other end is engaged detachably with the spring hook on the disk. The torsion springs provide a recovering force to keep the pivot pin from pivoting inadvertently.

Hinge with multiple torsion springs

A hinge is mounted between a cover and a base and has a bracket, a limiting element, a shaft and a pin. The bracket has a lug and a plate attached to the base. The lug has at least one positioning notch. The limiting element has two sides, a limiting protrusion protruding from one side and at least one positioning protrusion protruding from the other side which corresponds to and engages the positioning notch. The shaft has two ends, a head and a stop. One end of the shaft sequentially extends through the limiting element and the lug. The head, on which the stop is formed, is formed between the two ends of the shaft. The stop selectively abuts against the limiting protrusion. The other end of the shaft is attached to the cover. The pin is mounted securely in the lug and the limiting element.

Hinge

A hinge has a stationary bracket having multiple limiting slots, two resilient spacers, a pintle having a bar and an enlarged head, a stop element mounted in the pintle between the enlarged head and the resilient spacers and having multiple limiting tabs corresponding to and mounted in the limiting slots in the stationary bracket to make the limiting tab and the pintle to seal the opening and a keyhole provided the pintle to mount in and having an inner diameter being not bigger than an outer diameter of the bar to provide a tightness between the keyhole and the pintle. So the pintle is sturdy in the sleeve and the oil would not leak out of the sleeve.

A hinge for a notebook includes an L-shaped seat with a barrel. A pintle has a shaft extending in the barrel of the seat. A first tube, a sleeve and a second tube are in turn mounted on the shaft. The first tube and second tube are securely received in the barrel and each has a stop formed at a respective end facing the sleeve. The sleeve has two arcuate segments respectively formed at two ends and corresponding to the stops of the tubes. Thus, the sleeve can be rotated along with the shaft about the first and second tubes until one arcuate segment of the sleeve abuts the corresponding stop. Whereby, a user can raise the display with a small force to separate the display from the body and a large force to completely raise and position the display.
