A display panel has a plurality of pixel areas and a peripheral area surrounding the pixel areas, and includes a substrate, at least two planarization layers, a plurality of pads, a first dummy pattern, and a plurality of light-emitting devices. The substrate has a first substrate edge extending in a first direction. The at least two planarization layers are disposed on the substrate. The pads are disposed on the at least two planarization layers, and are located in the pixel areas. The pads include at least one first edge pad closest to the first substrate edge. The first dummy pattern is disposed on the at least two planarization layers, and extends in the peripheral area between the at least one first edge pad and the first substrate edge. The light-emitting devices are electrically connected to the pads.

The present invention relates to a layout for antenna loops having both functions of capacitance induction and electromagnetic induction, and particularly relates to the layout for antenna loops having both functions of capacitance induction and electromagnetic induction, wherein the capacitance detection elements are integrated with the antenna loops. In this layout for antenna loops, each of the antenna loops therein is separated into three sections, and there are several geometric structures fabricated in two of these sections. These geometric structures are capacitance detection elements. Therefore, the two sections are directly fabricated to be the capacitance detection elements because of these geometric structures. By this way, the antenna loops can be integrated with the capacitance detection elements and the capacitance detection elements do not prevent the antenna loops from receiving the electromagnetic signals.

Integrated electromagnetic type input flat panel display apparatus

A scanning method for determining the touch position of a touch input apparatus is disclosed. First of all, a first exposure process on light sensors of the touch input apparatus by light emitting device of the touch input apparatus is performed. Then the light sensors are scanned. A light sensor generating a signal with a maximum value is located. A region of partial scan of the light sensors is determined according to the position of the light sensor generating the signal with the maximum value. A second exposure process is performed on the light sensors. Then the light sensors within the region of partial scan are scanned. A light sensor generating a signal with a maximum value within the region of partial scan is located and a next region of partial scan is determined. The maximum value of the signal is calculated and the maximum value of the signal is compared to a predetermined value to determine whether the maximum value is higher than the predetermined value.

Scanning method for determining a touch position of a touch input apparatus

The present invention provides a passive optical pen for using with a display device, which comprises a handgrip for being held by a user, a reflector positioned on an end of the handgrip, and a transparent shield covering the reflector. The reflector reflects ambient light propagated from the display device toward the display device. The transparent shield keeps the reflector at a distance from the display device, and collects the ambient light.

The present invention provides a touch panel and a liquid crystal display. The liquid crystal display includes a panel, a plurality of reflective coding patterns printed on the panel, and a polarizing plate positioned on the panel, wherein the reflective coding patterns include a plurality of cholesteric liquid crystal molecules having a pitch length and a index of refraction, and the pitch length multiplied by the index of refraction is within a range of an infrared ray wavelength.

A liquid crystal display panel having a display area comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, a sealant, a liquid crystal layer, and a light-shielding layer. The sealant is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The liquid crystal layer is disposed in a space defined by the first substrate, the second substrate and the sealant. The light shielding layer is disposed on a first outer surface of the first substrate or a second outer surface of the second substrate, wherein the light shielding layer and the display area are not overlapped. In addition, the liquid crystal display panel further comprises a protection layer. Since the protection layer encapsulates the light-shielding layer, out-diffusion of dye within the light-shielding layer is effectively prevented.

Liquid crystal display panel and method of fabricating the same

An input display and fabrication method thereof. The input display comprises a black matrix on a first substrate defining a plurality of sub-pixel areas, a plurality of color filters on the sub-pixel areas, a plurality of light sensitive elements on a second substrate facing the first substrate, a plurality of convex lenses, wherein a central axis of the convex lens is substantially aligned with the light sensitive element, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The convex lenses converge more light on the light sensitive elements, enhancing sensitivity of the input display.

A touch panel is provided. The touch panel comprises a first substrate and a second substrate facing the first substrate. A black matrix is formed on the first substrate defining a plurality of sub-pixel areas, a plurality of color filters on the sub-pixel areas. A method for manufacturing a reflective coding plate is provided. The method includes steps of providing a first substrate, forming a mixture layer on the first substrate, providing a second substrate on the mixture layer and thereby a sandwich structure is formed, performing an orientation process on the sandwich structure, providing a mask having a code pattern thereon on one side of the sandwich structure, exposing the side of the sandwich structure to a UV light, removing the second substrate, and removing an unreacted part of the mixture layer.
