A display panel includes a substrate, a plurality of standard pixel units, and a plurality of dummy pixel units. A plurality of first conductor patterns and a plurality of shield blocks of a shield pattern layer are arranged in an array above the substrate. Each of the standard pixel units includes one of the first conductor patterns and a first shield block of the shield blocks. The first shield blocks and the first conductor patterns are overlapped, respectively. Each of the dummy pixel units includes a second shield block of the shield blocks. The second shield blocks and the first conductor patterns are not overlapped. A first edge of the substrate is spaced apart from a second edge of one of the standard pixel units adjacent to the dummy pixel units by a first distance. The first distance is within a range from 50 &#x3bc;m to 3000 &#x3bc;m.

Display panel, driver circuit, and manufacturing method of display panel

A device substrate including a substrate and 1st-stage to nth-stage driver units. Each of the 1st-stage to nth-stage driver units includes a pulldown element, a reset element, and an output element. A gate of the pulldown element is used for receiving a corresponding first start signal or a reset signal. A gate of the reset element is used for receiving the reset signal. A drain of the output element is used for outputting a corresponding gate driving signal. A gate of the pulldown element of the nth-stage driver unit is electrically connected with the gate of the reset element of the nth-stage driver unit so as to make the gate of the pulldown element of the nth-stage driver unit be used for receiving the reset signal.

Device substrate

A pixel includes four sub-pixels. The pixel is used to receive a plurality of signal values to display an image. The signal values are N-bit signal values, and the largest value of the signal values is (2&#x2212;1). The method of displaying the image with the pixel includes providing three color signals, generating four transformation signals corresponding to the four sub-pixels according to the values of the three color signals, and using four output signals to display the image of the pixel when the color saturation value is not larger than a first predetermined value and a fourth transformation signal of the four transformation signals is larger than other three transformation signals of the four transformation signals.

Display and method of displaying an image with a pixel

A display device includes a display panel, a light source module and a skin-color detector. The display panel has a plurality of sub pixel units, and the sub pixel units include red sub pixel units, green sub pixel units, blue sub pixel units and white sub pixel units. The light source module is disposed at a side of the display panel and the light source module includes a white light source and a yellow light source distributed in the white light source. The skin-color detector is electrically connected to the display panel, wherein the skin-color detector detects the skin-color area proportion of an image signal of the display panel.

A pixel structure includes a red sub-pixel, a green sub-pixel, a blue sub-pixel and a white sub-pixel. The red sub-pixel, the green sub-pixel and the blue sub-pixel are suitable for providing a first white light, and a chroma coordinate of the first white light is (x, y). The white sub-pixel is suitable for providing a second white light, and a chroma coordinate of the second white light is (x, y). A pixel structure including an active device, a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, a coupling line, a common electrode, and a liquid crystal layer is provided. The first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode have a plurality of sets of stripped electrode patterns extending along different directions, respectively, and the first pixel electrode is electrically insulated from the second pixel electrode. The coupling line is disposed under the first and the second pixel electrode and electrically insulated from the second pixel electrode. The first pixel electrode is electrically connected to the active device through the coupling line. The common electrode is disposed over the first and the second pixel electrode. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the common electrode and the first and second pixel electrodes. Moreover, the liquid crystal layer has two polymer layers and a liquid crystal molecule layer disposed between the polymer layers.

Pixel structure and liquid crystal display panel

A color filter and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. In the method of the invention, a substrate having a display area and a non-display area is provided. Thereafter, a black matrix is formed over the substrate, wherein black matrix defines the display area into a plurality of sub-pixel areas, and covers the non-display area, which forms an edge of the display area. Then, a color filter unit is formed in each sub-pixel area, and a light shielding layer is formed over the black matrix simultaneously. Accordingly, the shielding layer of the color filter provided by the present invention is capable of effectively reducing the light leakage from the edge of the display area.

Liquid crystal display panel, color filter and manufacturing methods thereof

A liquid crystal display panel is provided. The panel comprises a first substrate and a second substrate which have a display area and a non-display area, which is located around the display area. The panel comprises a plurality of dummy pixel structures in the non-display area to provide a voltage for aligning the liquid crystal materials in the non-display area.

Liquid crystal display panel

An active matrix substrate including a substrate, a pixel array, and a peripheral circuit is provided. The substrate has a display region and a peripheral circuit region adjacent thereto. The pixel array is disposed in the display region. The peripheral circuit is disposed in the peripheral circuit region and includes a first signal line, a second signal line, a first bypass-line, a second bypass-line, a plurality of chip bonding pads, a first dummy bonding pad and a plurality of second dummy bonding pads. The first bypass-line and the first signal line transmit the same signal. The second bypass-line and the second signal line transmit the same signal. The chip bonding pads are disposed between the bypass-lines and the pixel array, and are connected to the pixel array. The first dummy bonding pad is connected to the first bypass-line. Each second dummy bonding pad is connected to the second bypass-line.
