Driving methods for display panels are provided, in which a Krow of pixels in a pixel array is driven during a first period, and a K+1row of pixels in the pixel array is driven during a second period. A control clock applied for a charge pump is toggled at least N times during a third period between the first and second periods, and the control clock is maintained at a fixed logic level during the first and second periods, in which N&#x2267;2.

A gamma voltage generator generating a plurality of gamma voltages transformed into a plurality of data signals by a processing unit is disclosed. The processing unit outputs the data signals according to a color separation method. The gamma voltage generator comprises a setting unit, a resistor string, and a selection unit. The setting unit provides a first parameter, a second parameter, and a third parameter. The resistor string generates the gamma voltages according to the first, second, or third parameter. The selection unit is coupled between the setting unit and the resistor string for outputting the first, second, or third parameter to the resistor string according to a control signal group.

A pixel driving circuit for use in an active matrix electron luminescent display includes a transistor, a capacitor and an organic light-emitting diode. The capacitor has a first and a second ends coupled to the gate electrode of the transistor and a ground voltage, respectively. The organic light-emitting diode has a P and an N electrode coupled to the source electrode of the transistor and the ground voltage, respectively. The capacitor is charged by a driving current received from a data line to generate a specified voltage to bias the transistor and the organic light-emitting diode in the memorizing state, and the transistor and the organic light-emitting diode are further biased with the specified voltage in the emission state.

Pixel driving circuit and method for use in active matrix electron luminescent display

A pixel driving circuit for use in an active matrix organic light-emitting diode with threshold voltage compensation includes a transistor, a first capacitor and a second capacitor. The organic light-emitting diode is in communication with the transistor. The first capacitor has a first and a second ends, wherein the first end is coupled to a gate electrode of the transistor. The second capacitor has a third and a fourth ends coupled to the second end of the first capacitor and a ground voltage, respectively. A threshold voltage of the transistor is stored in the first capacitor in a first state, a driving voltage received from a data line is stored in the second capacitor in a second state, and the gate electrode of the transistor is biased with a specified voltage applied to the first and the second capacitors interconnected in series in a third state. A current passing through the organic light-emitting diode is controlled accordingly.

Pixel driving circuit and method for use in active matrix OLED with threshold voltage compensation

An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display includes a substrate defined with a plurality of pixel areas, a heating circuit structure disposed on the substrate, and a plurality of OLEDs corresponding to each pixel area. The heating circuit structure includes two conductive lines not connected to each other, a plurality of heating lines electrically connected to the two conductive lines and covering portions of each pixel areas, and a ground electrode.

A data driver for driving pixels in an active matrix organic LED (AMOLED) is provided the data driver includes a plurality of converters configured to convert to analog current signal digital voltage signals in order to drive the pixels to emit light. Each converter has a plurality of current mirror devices configured to generate mirrored current signals by inputting two control signals. Meanwhile, the mirrored current signals can maintain their preciseness even if deviation of the characteristics of the transistors implanted within the current mirror devices occurs during fabricating.
