A test device can be used with an Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) fronthaul and to test an uplink communication channel for passive intermodulation distortion (PIM). The test device generates and transmits O-RAN compliant messages to request resource blocks (RBs) from an O-RAN radio unit (O-RU) installed at a cell site according to a delay time period. Based on the delay time period, the test device identifies the RBs for an uplink signal to be received by the O-RU on the uplink communication channel at a future time period. The test device requests the RBs and receives the RBs from the O-RU to test for PIM.

Detection of passive intermodulation distortion in open radio access network

Component-level, scene-based power management in a test, monitoring, or measurement instrument or system is provided by identifying one or more controllable components; determining a power consumption of the identified one or more controllable components; generating a system model based, at least in part, on the determined power consumption, where the system model includes one or more scenes, each scene defining a list of controllable components and respective power states for the list of controllable components; generating a scene table for the test instrument by selecting a plurality of scenes from the system model; and executing the selected scenes in the scene table at a runtime for the test instrument, where each scene is executed based on an operation mode of the test instrument.

A test device for performing a bling scan includes a digital blind scan circuit. The blind scan circuit includes digital detectors for multiple cellular technologies that simultaneously perform correlation in a baseband frequency range to detect whether received RF signals include a channel of the technologies. The test device launches, responsive to detecting a channel from the blind scan, a signal analysis or a spectrum analysis application for the channel according to a carrier frequency and a technology identified for the channel by the blind scan.

Systems, apparatuses, and methods for implementing a real-time Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) fronthaul analyzer and graphical user interface (FHA/GUI) are provided. In one example, a method describes receiving an O-RAN fronthaul (OFH) packet traffic flow; parsing packet headers of the OFH packet traffic flow; identifying and tracking active flows in the OFH packet traffic flow using the parsing; and presenting a visual representation of the active flows using the tracking of active flows. In some examples, the real-time O-RAN FHA/GUI may be used for testing an OFH link for compliance with the O-RAN standards.

Real-time O-RAN fronthaul analyzer and graphical user interface

A test device can be used with an Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) fronthaul and to test an uplink communication channel. The test device determines an uplink communication channel for passive intermodulation distortion (PIM) testing. The test device generates and transmits control plane (C-plane) messages to request the future RBs from an O-RAN radio unit (O-RU) installed at a cell site according to a delay time period. The test device receives user plane (U-Plane) messages from the O-RU containing data for the future RBs, and determines whether PIM is detected.

Motion estimator apparatus and methods are presented in which a fully constrained nonlinear system of equations combining forward and backward displaced frame difference equations with a plurality of displacement vector invariant equations is solved using the input data from two image frames without approximation and without any additional constraints or assumptions to obtain an estimated displacement field. Also presented is an adaptive framework for solving a system of motion estimation equations with an integer valued block size defining a number of node points within an image, the number of node points being less than or equal to a number of pixels within the image, and a cost function based on a nonlinear least-squares principle. A system of iteration equations for the motion field on node points is solved using an iterative technique, and a degree of over-constraint can be progressively relaxed by selectively reducing the block size during the iteration.

Method and apparatus for displacement determination by motion compensation with progressive relaxation

A method of image processing. A band-averaged spectral radiance is measured using at least one optical filter upon scanning a plurality of original radiances. The measured band-averaged spectral radiance includes a measured in-band-averaged spectral radiance and a measured band-gap-averaged spectral radiance. A multispectral radiance vector is generated from the measured band-averaged spectral radiance. The multispectral radiance vector and an out-of-band correction transform matrix corresponding to the at least one optical filter are matrix-multiplied to generate a band-averaged spectral radiances image vector representing a plurality of recovered band-averaged spectral radiances. The plurality of recovered band-averaged spectral radiances is analyzed for a presence of a target.

Method of out-of-band correction for multispectral remote sensing

A method and apparatus for processing an image sequence described herein that provides a symmetric displaced frame difference equation. Next, an input image sequence can be received that includes a pair of image frames individually including multidimensional image data corresponding to a plurality of pixel locations at different times. Finally, using at least one processor, the symmetric displaced frame difference equation can be solved using an iteration equation and the image data of the pair of image frames to determine a displacement field describing displacement vectors at half of the total displacement vector.

Velocity estimation from imagery using symmetric displaced frame difference equation

An expected band-averaged spectral radiances image vector is simulated from training hyperspectral data and at least one filter transmittance function corresponding to the at least one optical filter. A simulated measured band-averaged spectral radiances image vector is simulated from the training hyperspectral data and the at least one transmittance function. A realistic measured band-averaged spectral radiances image vector is provided from at least one optical filter. A cross-correlation matrix of the expected band-averaged spectral radiances image vector and the realistic measured band-averaged spectral radiances image vector is calculated. An auto-correlation matrix of the simulated measured band-averaged spectral radiances image vector is calculated. An optimal out-of-band transform matrix is generated by matrix-multiplying the cross-correlation matrix and an inverse of the auto-correlation matrix. A realistic recovered band-averaged spectral radiances image vector is generated by matrix-multiplying the optimal out-of-band transform matrix and the realistic measured band-averaged spectral radiances image vector, the realistic recovered band-averaged spectral radiances image vector being free of out-of-band effects.

A computer based method for estimating surface velocity based on a time series of at least two images of a same portion of the ocean surface by solving a heat equation having unknown parameters of heat source s and surface velocity components u and v. The images can be infrared or thermal images from the AVHRR or other images. Assign a pattern of sub-arrays with number of pixels in each sub-array sufficient to overdetermine the heat equation without the need to apply divergence and vorticity constraints. Define the heat equation for each interior pixel using bilinear interpolation at each interior based on solutions at the corner pixels. Use linear regression to solve for the unknown parameters u, v, and s for each corner pixel by minimizing total error of the heat equation in finite difference form at all pixels, and find the parameters at each remaining point with bilinear interpolation.

System and method for estimating velocity from image sequence with first order continuity

A computer based method and system for compressing digital hyperspectral or multispectral image data. The method includes initially reducing the plurality of spectral bands of the hyperspectral data to a smaller number of spectral bands using principal component analysis, determining an optimum compression ratio for each of the smaller number of spectral bands for use in a wavelet transform, and subsequently compressing the smaller number of spectral bands spatially using the wavelet transform with the optimum compression ratios.
