A high-rise building escape apparatus enables user to quickly exit a high-rise building in the event of an emergency. It mainly includes a damper which withstands impact of termination of descent and decreases terminal velocity due to its mushroomlike shape, a compartment, side and bottom nets, a parachute, an air source system, hoses, rotatable and fix frames, and a safety belt. The apparatus is operated following the procedure below. A user sets up the fix frame and rotatable frame attaching the dropping parts on the sill of a window or on the top of a balcony, makes the rotatable frame swing to the outside, opens the dropping part pack, fills the high pressure air to the airbags simultaneously through a number of internal hoses and an external hose, and disconnects the hoses. The user then moves from the inside of the building to the compartment in the middle of the damper through the rotatable frame with hands grabbing it, reaches the bottom portion of the compartment, fastens the safety belt, and releases the dropping parts. As a result, the user will move down with the damper, the parachute will be extended, released, and deployed, and the rotatable frame will rotate back. As soon as the user reaches the ground, the user will unbuckle the safety belt, get out of the damper, and release the high pressure air.

High-rise building escape apparatus

An inflatable lifesaving device is designed to provide a user with an apparatus to escape a high rise building in emergency situations in a sufficiently rapid manner. It is simply composed of a hemisphere including a plurality of independent cell airbags, internal hoses, and check valves, a parachute integrated with the hemisphere, an air supply system, an external hose, a quick release hose coupler, a harness mounted on the body of the user, a connection rope that connects the harness to the inside of the building, a rope quick release to separate the connection rope, a descent rope, a backpack. To operate the inflatable lifesaving device, the user wearing the harness with the backpack exits a window or a balcony with the harness connected to the inside of the building through the connection rope with the release device. The air supply system is then turned on and high pressure air inflates and opens up the hemisphere and the parachute so that they are gradually formed from the back of the user to the front, and eventually the user is surrounded by them. after that, the external hose and the connection rope are released. As a result, the user will move down with the hemisphere and the parachute.

Inflatable lifesaving device

A shower curtain assembly is designed to provide users with an apparatus that provides much wide shower space for consumers than traditional one, prevents the curtain from moving inward, eliminate water spilling onto the floor, and even allows the user to sit on a top periphery of a bathtub near the curtain when the shower is in use. It is simply comprised of a shower curtain support rod that bows outward from a shower enclosure along its length, a shower curtain, hooks, and means that secures the shower curtain to achieve the abovementioned goal. The means includes main weights attached to the lower portion of the curtain, wires connected to the lower portion of the curtain and holders fixed to the bottom edges of the sidewalls of the shower enclosure, and wires with magnets attached. Only one of them needs to be chosen for the shower enclosure for the aforementioned functions.

The present invention relates to hybrid interferon fusion proteins formed of an interferon-&#x3b1; protein where the C-terminal region of the interferon-&#x3b1; protein is replaced by a C-terminal region of interferon-&#x3c4;. Also described are nucleic acid sequences encoding the interferon fusion proteins, expression vectors containing such sequences, and therapeutic applications of the interferon fusion proteins. The therapeutic applications include antiviral, anticellular proliferation, and anti-inflammatory applications. One advantage of the interferon fusion polypeptides of the present invention is that they have lower cytotoxic side effects when used to treat cells.

Hybrid interferon/interferon tau proteins, compositions and methods of use

A two high bathroom tissue dispenser is designed to provide users with a bathroom tissue dispenser that holds two rolls at a time. It is simply comprised of a housing, a pair of opposing side supports, and a cover. The housing has front, rear, side, and bottom walls, an empty core holder, and a discharge opening. Each support consists of a plate hingedly secured to the sidewalls, roll hanger to pick up and hold a bottom bathroom tissue roll, a snap, and a block.

Two high bathroom tissue dispenser

A simple yet versatile noncontact optical inspection instrument and method are described for the inspection of magnetic disk surfaces for surface defects. This instrument is capable of inspecting the disk surface at any point in the disk manufacturing process. Surface defects such as bumps, pits and scratches can be measured. Surface contaminants such as particles and stains can also be measured. The instrument is also capable of discriminating between surface defects and surface contaminants. The instrument is comprised of two identical optical sensors which are located on opposite sides of the disk. A carriage supports and translates these sensors along the disk radius while a spindle rotates the disk. Both surfaces of the disk are therefore simultaneously scanned in a spiral fashion. The sensor's illumination optics produce a monochromatic focused spot of light which is normally incident upon the disk surface. The sensor uses two collection optics channels which simultaneously detect both the specular reflected light and the diffuse scattered light produced by the disk surface. Both the angle and power of the specular reflected light are measured, while just the power of the diffuse scattered light is measured. The output signals from the sensors are processed to estimate the size of the defects and to determine the type of defect.
