A plastic keg includes a liner including a neck portion and a body portion. A lid having an opening is disposed at least partially over the liner. A retainer is secured to the neck portion of the liner and aligned with the opening in the lid, the retainer including external threads. A locking ring having internal threads is secured to the external threads of the retainer. The internal threads of the locking ring and the external threads of the retainer include a ratcheting mechanism permitting attachment of the locking ring to the retainer and inhibiting removal of the locking ring from the retainer, the locking ring contacting the lid. A beer keg valve assembly includes a port having a head portion having a convex upper surface and at least one leg extending downwardly from a lower surface. The leg includes a stop surface projecting radially outward further than the head portion. A piston defines an opening. A spring biases the port against a periphery of the opening defined by the piston to seal the convex upper surface of the head portion over the opening.

Plastic beer keg

A braking assembly used in a dispenser that dispenses a continuous supply of material such as paper. The braking assembly includes a support structure. A first fixed gear is rotatably connected to the support structure. A movable chassis is also connected to the support structure. A second movable gear is held by the chassis and moves with the chassis. Teeth of the first gear and teeth of the second gear intermesh with each other and allow the paper to pass therethrough. The chassis maintains the teeth of the first and second gears in contact with each other while enabling a distance between gears to be adjustable. The assembly further includes a braking mechanism that varies an amount of force required to rotate the gears.

Continuous feed material dispenser with adjustable brake

A mechanical barrier recipient verification system including a combination lock assembly having a housing carrying a combination lock mechanism. The housing forms an aperture. The lock mechanism selectively receives and captures a post inserted through the aperture. Further the lock mechanism is configured to provide combination unset and set states; unlocked and locked positions; and correctly and incorrectly entered code arrangements. Following insertion of the post into the aperture and with the lock mechanism in the locked position, the post is retained by the lock mechanism regardless of the correctly or incorrectly entered code arrangement.

A locking mechanism for a storage container is provided. The locking mechanism is positioned on a center post of the storage container and includes a sled, a handle or knob, a connecting mechanism, a sled arresting mechanism, and a lock. Depending upon the position of the lock, the handle can unlatch the container. When the lock is in the unlocked position, the sled arresting mechanism allows the unlatching of the container. When the lock is in the locked position, the sled arresting mechanism prevents the unlatching of the container. The locking mechanism is resistant to drill attack due to its vertical configuration and positioning of a cover on the center post.

Locking mechanism

A dispensing system that removes individual napkins from a stack of interfolded napkins in a manner that allows the number of napkins dispensed to be easily counted and controlled so that an appropriate number of napkins are dispensed. The counted napkins are collected in an easily manageable form and presented to a user.

Paper product dispensing system

A fastening clip with a flexible tether for use with a vehicle includes a first fastener attached to a component such as a vehicle body, and a second fastener attached to a removable component such as a vehicle trim panel. The first and second fasteners may be connected by generally rigid arms joined by an integral hinge and by at least one flexible tether capable of elongating and contracting. The hinged arms and tether provide multiple means to prevent the trim section from freely detaching from the vehicle body and becoming a projectile following deployment of an air bag from behind the trim panel. In addition, the rigid arms cause the trim panel to move in a controlled arc. A further aspect of the invention provides a tether that is capable of stretching to allow unimpeded air bag deployment followed by contracting to pull the trim panel back towards its original position on the vehicle body.

Fastening clip with flexible tether

A w-base fastener that may be used in many applications, including numerous applications throughout the automotive industry, combines the functionality of a w-base fastener with the serviceability of other fasteners. The w-base fastener of the invention provides the ability to service the w-base fastener without damaging the panel or hole in which the fastener is inserted. This is accomplished by incorporating a secondary connection into the w-base fastener. This secondary connection permits the fastener to be easily extracted by providing a technique for pulling the legs of the w-base fastener inward prior to extraction of the fastener from the hole.

Serviceable w-base fastener

Embodiments of the present invention provide a fastener assembly that includes a grommet and a pin. The grommet may include a collar integrally formed with a plurality of legs, wherein an opening is formed through the collar. The pin is moveable through the opening between pre-driven and driven positions. The pin may include a plurality of flexible pin compression members connected to a ramp. The plurality of flexible pin compression members and the ramp spread the legs open in the driven position.

Fastener assembly

A rib clip for connecting first and second components is provided with first and second legs deflectable relative to each other. One leg is substantially straight and includes a shelf. The other leg is bent and includes inner and outer arms biased against a component held between the legs. The rib clip is inserted in a window of the other component, which compresses the legs toward each other, securing the first and second components relative to each other.

A fastener assembly includes a grommet, a dampening subassembly, and a pin. The pin is secured to the grommet and the dampening subassembly. The pin is configured to rotate between a locked position and an unlocked position with respect to the grommet. The pin secures to the grommet in the locked position, and is removable from the grommet in the unlocked position.

An anchoring structure for components such as a ball-stud grommet includes a head and a plurality of retention legs defining lips in spaced, confronting relationship with a surface of the head. The legs are arranged in a circle and are provided in sufficient number and in sufficiently close spaced relation that at least one leg on opposite sides engage edges of a slot for any rotational position of the fastener relative to the slot.
