A noisemaker assembly that includes an annular horn body having an inner wall, an outer wall and a groove disposed there between. The groove is open at the top surface of the horn body. A tubular mouthpiece is provided that extends into the horn body. The mouthpiece communicates with the groove inside the horn body. When air is blown into the mouthpiece, that air passes into the groove within the horn body. A membrane is placed over the horn body so that the membrane covers the top of the groove. When air is blown into the groove, the air slips past the membrane from inside the groove. This causes the membrane to vibrate and generate a loud low frequency noise. The horn assembly can be held within a housing. The housing has perforations to enable sound energy from the horn assembly to escape from the housing.

Air blown noisemaker

A novelty noisemaker assembly and its associated method of assembly. The noisemaker assembly has a bellows for manually producing a flow of air. Air from the bellows passes through a sound generator that produces sound energy as the air passes. The sound energy from the sound generator passes into a pitch control chamber. A plurality of slots are formed in the sound generator. A secondary object is coupled to the end of the pitch control chamber. The secondary object obstructs the pitch control chamber. Consequently, the slots in the side of the pitch control chamber provide the only exit port for the flow of air created by the bellows and the sound energy created by the sound generator.

Novelty noise making device

A percussion instrument and its method of construction. The percussion instrument has an annular body with an open top and an open bottom. The annular body has multiple sections that include a first section and an opposite second section. The first and second sections join together at bending regions that are located at opposite sides of the annular body. A striking membrane is stretched taut over the open top of the annular body. An adjustment mechanism is provided that is used to selectively bend the annular body within the bending regions. Depending upon what direction the annular body is bent, the tautness of the striking membrane is either increased or decreased. This selectively alters the tone of the sound produced by the drum.

Selectively tunable percussion instrument

A maraca is provided with a handle having a first end and a second end, the second end being coupleable to the maraca. A tool configured to engage a bottle cap may be mounted in the handle. The handle further includes a part configured for engaging an opener or a tab of a can.

A musical shaker is formed with a rigid shell and pellets enclosed therein attached to a flexible handle. In a first embodiment, the shell part truncates to a small end portion and includes a bottleneck opening in the truncated small end portion. The truncated end portion is closed by an internal joint with a cap member covered by the flexible plastic handle or by the flexible handle itself. In a second embodiment, the shell part is formed by two rigid plastic halves sealed so as to enclose the pellets. The end of the flexible handle is fitted to one end of the shell part and is secured to that end by adhesive. In a third embodiment the flexible handle includes two portions, including a flexible handle portion adjoining the shell.

A shell article is fabricated in three parts having different colors. The first and second parts are end parts and include edges for mating with each other or an intermediate part. The intermediate part is arranged between the two end parts. Each of the parts is molded out of plastic in contrasting colors.

A maraca is formed with a handle having a bottle opener therein. A transverse groove is provided in the handle which has a bottom surface, a first side surface, and second side surface. A metal tool is mounted in the handle to extend along the first side surface, and to extend from the first side surface toward the second side surface.

A musical shaker instrument has a shaped shell and pellets enclosed therein. The shell has two parts. A first large shell part (,) includes an exterior surface forming a first end portion and a central portion. The first part truncates at a second end portion of the shell and includes an opening (,) in the truncated end portion. The second small shell part (,) has a cap member (,) for closing opening in the first large shell part. The first and second shell parts are joined together by an internal joint which is not exposed to the external surface of the shell. In a second embodiment, the second shell part forms a handle.
