A disinfecting apparatus includes a pipe configured to allow disinfecting light to penetrate therein to disinfect powder, liquid, or other substances. In some examples, the pipe has a window with a disinfecting light coupled to the exterior of the pipe and positioned to shine disinfecting light through the window so as to expose the substances passing therethrough. Because the disinfecting light is external to the pipe, repair and replacement of the disinfecting light is quickly and easily performed. Additionally, the disinfecting light may be retrofitted to current pipes.

A location-based gun magazine has a housing having a plurality of locking apertures, a spring, a wireless receiver switching device, a battery, and an electromagnet locking mechanism. The electromagnet locking mechanism has a locking tab for engaging and locking with the plurality of locking apertures, the locking tab actuatable via the electromagnet, the electromagnet receiving a signal from the wireless receiver switching device. The wireless receiver switching device may have a radio receiver, a GPS chip, or other device for receiving location-based information.

The funnel wind turbine may have bearings or a yaw system to allow rotation of the horizontal funnel on the support tower. The funnel wind turbine may have wind direction and speed sensors, an electronic control unit, and a communication device (e.g., cellular antennas, radio transmitters/receivers, etc.) for transmitting information such as wind speed and direction, power generation, and efficiency to a distant receiver.

A top load device for disinfecting a container, such as a security bin for use in an airport, the device configured to store a stack of contaminated containers, wherein the device separates and releases a single container into an interior of a housing for disinfection. The housing comprises a conveyor that moves the container through the interior of the housing from an initial location to an exit of the housing, wherein the container is disinfected or sanitized with electromagnetic wavelength as it moves through the interior of the housing.

The present disclosure describes a bi-valve for use with a flowmeter or other source of oxygen or other medical gas, that allows a medical practitioner to easily and quickly switch from delivering oxygen or other gas from the flowmeter or other gas source to a given mask or other device, to another mask or other device. This is accomplished far faster and easier than is done under current practice. Current practice results in the patient being off oxygen or other gas for a short, but very significant period of time, which poses a serious risk of desaturation in the patient. The bi-valve may include a casing, an inlet, and two outlets, with a knob for selecting which output the oxygen or other gas is to be delivered to. The device may be a very simple ball valve device, with the only moving parts being the knob and the ball.
