A vehicle display device including an information display unit for displaying prescribed information for a vehicle, an alarm need state detection unit for detecting a prescribed state where an alarm for the vehicle is needed, an alarm display unit for performing an alarm display on the basis of the detection of the alarm need state detection unit, an eye-fixed target detection unit for detecting an object on which a driver fixes his eyes as an eye-fixed target, a display cancel unit for canceling the eye-fixed target or its neighboring information display, and a delay unit for controlling the alarm display unit to perform the alarm display after a predetermined time lapse from the display cancellation of the display cancel unit.

Vehicle display which reduces driver's recognition time of alarm display

Instantaneous state of a driver and instantaneous state of an automotive vehicle are identified based on sensed information related to the vehicle. Based on the identified instantaneous states in combination or in singular, one of predetermined indication modes is selected and pieces of information specified by the selected indication mode is displayed on a screen of a display unit.

Display system

A speaker apparatus in which a speaker unit having a vibrating plate thereon is housed in a cabinet, an opening defined by the cabinet for radiating a sound generated at a front surface of the vibrating plate of the speaker unit is formed, and a shield plate over a predetermined part of the opening is provided for shielding the sound of a high frequency region in which peaks and/or dips are included due to the sound reflections in the cabinet.

Structure of a speaker apparatus

A system for reproducing stereophonic sound signals to create an appropriate audio sound ambience in various compartments having different reverberation characteristics. The system includes a right-hand loudspeaker for producing a right-channel sound signal, left-hand loudspeaker for producing a left-channel sound signal, and a center loudspeaker for producing a signal derived from a combination of right and left signals. The center loudspeaker generates a sound output of a signal having a predetermined lag time relative to that of the right- and left-speakers to create the suitable audio ambience effect for a listener in accordance with the reverberation characteristics of the compartment.
