A vehicle seat includes a load sensor that is configured to measure a load applied from an occupant and that has a rod extending therefrom, a seat cushion frame that includes right and left side frames that extend along a front-rear axis, and a bracket member attaching the load sensor to at least one of the right and left side frames. A lower surface of the at least one side frame has a concave part opening downward. At least a part of the load sensor is lower than the concave part, and the load sensor is closer to a center of the vehicle seat than the concave part.

An upper rail is movable in a rear and front direction with respect to a lower rail fixed to a vehicle floor. A load sensor is fixed to an upper surface of the upper rail, and a rectangular frame is attached onto the load sensor. A rod of the load sensor penetrates a web of the rectangular frame, a washer and a spring holder, and a coil spring is wound around the rod. A bush is fitted to an edge of a hole of the washer, and a step is formed between an upper surface of the washer and the bush. A nut is screwed to the rod and tightens a bottom of a cup portion of the spring holder. The coil spring is sandwiched between the spring holder and the web and is compressed, and an end portion of the coil spring engages with the step.

A nut is screwed to the rod, and the nut tightens a bottom of a cup portion of the spring holder. In such a way, the coil spring is sandwiched between the spring holder and the web and is compressed, and an end portion of the coil spring engages with the step difference.

A headrest is attached to a square frame-shaped seatback frame so that the headrest can be moved back and forth by an upper lever. The upper lever is connected by a connection rod to a lower lever provided at the seatback frame. Left and right connection arms of a rear collision detector are attached to the lower lever. Backward movement of the rear collision detector moves forward the headrest via the connection rod and the upper lever. The connection arms of the rear collision detector are fixed to the lower lever, held at a predetermined angle.

A rectangular frame is attached onto the load sensor, a rod of the load sensor sequentially penetrates a web of the rectangular frame and a spring holder upward, and a coil spring 44 is wound around the rod. A nut is screwed to the rod, and the nut tightens a bottom of a cup portion of the spring holder. The coil spring 44 is sandwiched between a flange of the spring holder and the web and is compressed by tightening the nut.
