A battery-operated work machine is provided which can perform a work while avoiding such a situation that the work machine cannot reach charging equipment. When the remaining capacity of a battery becomes lower than a first threshold value set in advance, a controller controls an inverter such that the revolution speed of an electric motor is kept at a target revolution speed and controls a first notification device to operate, and besides switches a traveling motor to a travel first speed side, in which the displacement volume is a large volume, irrespective of an input from a traveling mode instruction device, when the remaining capacity of the battery becomes lower than a first threshold value set in advance.

Battery-operated work machine

An electric construction machine is provided that can travel from a work location to a charging location, and can suppress deterioration of work efficiency. The electric hydraulic excavator includes: a battery device (); an electric motor () that is driven by power of the battery device (); a hydraulic pump () that is driven by the electric motor (); a travelling hydraulic motor () and a work hydraulic actuator that are driven by a hydraulic fluid delivered from the hydraulic pump (); a controller (); and a display device (). The controller () computes an operable time by dividing power storage amount of the battery device () by average power consumption per unit time during driving of the electric motor (); computes a travelable time by dividing the power storage amount of the battery device () by average power consumption per unit time during driving of the electric motor () and the travelling hydraulic motor (); and causes the computed operable time and the computed travelable time to be displayed on the display device ().

Electric construction machine

An electric construction machine that can travel from a work site to charging equipment and prevent the lowering of the work efficiency is provided. An electric hydraulic excavator includes a motor () that is driven by power of a battery device () and drives a hydraulic pump (), a controller (), and a display device (). The controller () computes and stores the amount of consumed power of the motor () consumed during the period from the departure of the hydraulic excavator from the charging equipment to arrival at the work site, based on movement information of the hydraulic excavator acquired by a movement information acquiring device. The controller () subtracts the amount of consumed power from the amount of stored power of the battery device () to compute the amount of power consumable at the work site. The controller () computes the period of time for which operation is possible at the work site, based on the amount of power consumable at the work site, and causes the display device () to display the period of time for which operation is possible at the work site.

Provided is a grip heater apparatus for a construction machine that can improve operability by heating the grip portions of left and right operating levers and maintaining a favorable operating environment for the left and right operating levers when work is carried out in a cold region and the operator's hands get cold. The grip heater apparatus includes: left and right grip heatersandprovided in grip portions of left and right operation leversand, respectively; a battery supplying electric power to the left and right grip heaters; a heater switchfor instructing the left and right grip heaters to be turned on or off; and a control device supplying the electric power from the battery to the left and right grip heaters only when the engine is running, the gate lock leveris at a getting-on/off prevention position, and the heater switch instructs the left and right grip heaters to be turned on.

Grip heater apparatus for construction machine

An electrically-operated construction machine with a battery charging operation. A lock switch provides a closed contact when a lock lever in a cab is placed in an unlock position. A feed port is disposed outside the cab to accept a cable from a commercial power source. The feed port is provided with a charge start switch. A control device has a motor control function for driving an electric motor with electrical power of a main battery when a signal is input from the lock switch. A charge control function is for charging the main battery with electrical power of the commercial power source when dictated by the charge start switch. The lock switch is wire-connected so as not to output the signal to the control device even if the closed contact is provided by the lock switch when the control device exercises charge control.
