A control apparatus of a hybrid vehicle which, when a travel mode is switched from a second mode (EV mode) to a first mode (series mode), can warm an exhaust purification catalyst appropriately to suppress deterioration of an exhaust gas, is provided. The control apparatus comprises selection meanswhich selects the first mode as a travel mode of a vehicle, if a required output is equal to or higher than a determination threshold value, or selects the second mode, if the required output is lower than the determination threshold value; and threshold value changing meanswhich lowers the determination threshold value, if the temperature of the exhaust purification catalyst is lower than a predetermined temperature.

Control apparatus of hybrid vehicle

A control apparatus of a hybrid vehicle which, when a travel mode is switched from an EV mode (second mode) to a series mode (first mode), can warm an exhaust purification catalyst appropriately to suppress deterioration of an exhaust gas, is provided, and configured as follows: If the temperature of the exhaust purification catalyst is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature, the first mode (series mode) is selected when a required output is equal to or higher than a first determination threshold value; or the second mode (EV mode) is selected when the required output is lower than the first determination threshold value. If the temperature of the exhaust purification catalyst is lower than the predetermined temperature, the first mode is selected when the required output is equal to or higher than the first determination threshold value; the second mode is selected when the required output is equal to or lower than a second determination threshold value; or a specific mode (warm-up mode) is selected when the required output is lower than the first determination threshold value and higher than the second determination threshold value.

An engine controller includes: a warm-up control unit that performs warm-up operation for letting the engine continuously operate until an integration value of air intake of the engine comes to a predetermined integration value in order to warm up a catalyst provided in an exhaust system when the engine is first started after start-up of the vehicle; and a continuation control unit that lets the engine continuously operate for a predetermined period subsequent to an end of the warm-up operation. The continuation control unit takes an output value of the engine as a request output value when the request output value of the engine is a predetermined idling output value or more that is smaller than the predetermined warm-up output value and takes the output value as the warm-up output value when the request output value is less than the predetermined idling output value.

Engine controller to reduce hazardous emissions

A fuel injection control apparatus for an engine, which makes an appropriate increasing correction to a fuel amount at the time of restart after the stop period of the engine, thereby making it possible to cut down on the amounts of NOx emissions, is provided. The fuel injection control apparatus comprises an injection volume control unit for controlling a fuel injection volume, a supplied oxygen amount detection unit for detecting a supplied oxygen amount, an activity determination unit for determining whether or not an exhaust purification catalyst is in an active state, and an amount increasing correction unit for making an increasing correction to the fuel injection volume in accordance with the detection results of the supplied oxygen amount detection unit and the determination results of the activity determination unit.
