In a control apparatus for a vehicle, in the cases where engine torque is higher than first torque and an engine torque change amount is larger than a first torque change amount when control is shifted from complete engagement control of a lock-up clutch to deceleration slip control, an electronic control unit is configured to shift the control from the complete engagement control to acceleration slip control and then shift the control from the acceleration slip control to the deceleration slip control after the vehicle is brought into a driven state.

A vehicle drive control device in a vehicle including an engine comprising a throttle valve and a supercharger with an air bypass valve changed from a closing side to an opening side when a closing speed of the throttle valve is higher than a speed determination value, the vehicle drive control device providing a torque-down control of the engine by operating the throttle valve to a closing side, wherein at the time of provision of the torque-down control of the engine in which the throttle valve is operated to the closing side when a rotation speed of the engine is equal to or greater than a predetermined rotation speed and a speed ratio of a torque converter is equal to or less than a predetermined value in a supercharged state, the throttle valve is caused to perform a closing operation at the closing speed lower than the speed determination value.

In correcting a throttle opening degree for speed ratio control in accordance with an auxiliary load torque, when the throttle opening degree for speed ratio control is corrected in an increasing manner such that an engine rotational speed rises, a smoothing process of changes in a throttle opening degree correction amount is executed. When the throttle opening degree for speed ratio control is corrected in a decreasing manner such that the engine rotational speed falls, the aforementioned smoothing process is not executed.

A controller for a continuously variable transmission includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit reduces a change in a target speed ratio of the continuously variable transmission when a sensitivity coefficient is large as compared to when the sensitivity coefficient is small. When the sensitivity coefficient is large, a change in speed ratio is suppressed, so the stability of the speed ratio is improved. When the sensitivity coefficient is small, the response of a shift is improved. The controller changes a degree of suppressing a shift of the continuously variable transmission in response to the sensitivity coefficient, so it is possible to suppress a shift where necessary. Thus, it is possible to achieve both improvement in the stability of the speed ratio and improvement in the response of a shift in automatic vehicle speed control. This suppresses a feeling of strangeness experienced by a driver.

In a control device for a vehicle on which is mounted a continuously variable transmission capable of mechanically locking a primary pulley at the time of a maximum gear ratio (maximum Low), an idle rotational speed is not always set high to increase a hydraulic pressure at the time of stopping the vehicle. Instead, at the time of stopping the vehicle, when the gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission is the maximum gear ratio, normal idle rotational speed control is performed, and only when the gear ratio is not the maximum gear ratio, idle-up control is performed so that the idle rotational speed is set high, thereby the hydraulic pressure is set high. Thus, by restricting conditions in which the hydraulic pressure is set high by the idle-up control, it is possible to improve fuel efficiency while suppressing generation of a belt slip.
