A first end of an insert fills up a space of a hollow part of a protector, and a second end includes an insulator to insulate a first wire connection part where a first leg of a resistor is piled on a first core wire from a second wire connection part where a second leg of the resistor is piled on a second core wire. Die-molding material covers the insulator, the first and second core wires, the resistor, the first and second legs, and the first and second wire connection parts. The insulator has a tabular shape, and the insulator has left and right side ends exposed from a part covered with the die-molding material. The insert includes a second protrusion on a connection part between the first and second ends of the insert. The second protrusion is closer to an inner side part than an inner surface of the insulator.

Protector with sensor and method of manufacturing the same

An inner-cabin side part of a hollow part of a protector with a sensor extends between a top end and an inner-cabin side end with an inner-cabin side apex closest to an interior of an automobile body. An outer-cabin side part of the hollow part extends between the top end and an outer-cabin side end with an outer-cabin side apex closest to an exterior of the automobile body. Distances are shorter between the apexes and the ends than between the top end and the apexes. A first conductive part includes parts closer to an installation base member than an apex of a second conductive part. Lower ends of the first conductive part have protrusions formed. The protrusions extend to protrude toward the second conductive part from an inner surface of an outer coat of the hollow part and are formed on uneven bases.

Protector with sensor

A touch sensor device includes a touch sensor unit having a sealed, tubular hollow member constituted by an elastically deformable insulator and first and second electrodes extending in a longitudinal direction of the hollow member and apart from each other in which the touch sensor unit is configured such that the first electrode and the second electrode are in contact with each other and electrically connected based on elastic deformation of the hollow member, and a water intrusion detection section is provided at a position located at a lower end portion of the touch sensor unit extending in a vertical direction and, in a case where water has intruded into the hollow member, the first electrode and the second electrode are electrically connected via the intruding water in the water intrusion detection section.

Water intrusion detector for a touch sensor device

A protector with a sensor couples to a sliding door. A first end of an insert made of a non-conductive material is inserted in and fills up a space on a hollow part of the protector, and a terminal part is into die molding. The insert includes at least two feeding ports to receive and feed molding material into the insert during die molding. The feeding ports are spaced from each other and formed along a direction in which a wire harness extends. Covered parts are exposed from the wire harness where the covered parts are faced with the feeding ports.

A sensor bracket for mounting, on a vehicle, a capacitance sensor in which a loop-shaped electric wire serving as a sensor electrode extends from a sensor main body includes a bracket main body on which the sensor main body is arranged with the electric wire looping back so as to extend in parallel with each other at a constant distance from each other, and a plate spring portion being supported by the bracket main body in a cantilever manner, having, on a tip side, a hooking portion disposed to which the electric wire can be hooked, and providing the electric wire hooked to the hooking portion with tension.

Sensor bracket

A protrusion is formed on a first part of an inner-cabin side wall of an installation base member of a protector with a sensor. The first part is closer to a connecting wall than a second part opposite the first part. The protrusion is on a virtual line in cross section. The virtual line is where convex substances, keys for example, hanging on passengers' clothes conceivably pass through. The virtual line extends toward a connecting point from a rear part of an automobile body closer to an interior of the automobile body than a reference line. The reference line is parallel with a direction in which a flange protrudes and extends from the connecting point. The connecting point is a part of an inner-cabin side end of a hollow part closest to an interior of the automobile body. The inner-cabin side end is connected with the installation base member.

An inner-cabin side part of a hollow part of a protector with a sensor extends between a top end and an inner-cabin side end with an inner-cabin side apex closest to an interior of an automobile body. A distance is shorter between the inner-cabin side apex and the inner-cabin side end than between the top end and the inner-cabin side apex. An outer-cabin side part of the hollow part extends between the top end and an outer-cabin side end with an outer-cabin side apex closest to an exterior of the automobile body. A distance is shorter between the outer-cabin side apex and the outer-cabin side end than between the top end and the outer-cabin side apex. Thicknesses of an outer coat of the hollow part are increased toward the apexes from the top end, and are uniform between the apexes and the inner-cabin side end and the outer-cabin side end.

A protector with a sensor couples to a sliding door. A first end of an insert is inserted in and fills up a space on a hollow part of the protector. A second end of the insert includes a support member and a lid. Top ends of core wires and top ends of two leads are fit in first channels on the support member. Covered parts and a wire harness are fit in a second channel. The second channel is formed between the support member and the lid and is continuous with the first channels. The support member and the lid include feeding ports to receive and feed die-molding material into the second channel during die molding.

A spacer for a foreign object detection sensor including an elongated hollow sheath, two conductive members, and two core wires buried in the two conductive members, the spacer being used for a terminal portion of the foreign object detection sensor and including a first member including an insertion portion configured to be inserted into a space between the two conductive members, and a concave-shaped second member including a first end portion and a second end portion, the first end portion at which a locking portion is provided to be locked to a first end of the first member, the second end portion which is opposed to the locking portion and is connected to a second end of the first member via an integral hinge, the second member containing one of the two conductor portions inside a closed cross-section formed between the first member and the second member.
