Provided is an antenna device having a structure that suppresses deterioration in performance as a profile becomes lower. Four FM band antenna elements and two AM band antenna elements are arranged side by side on an antenna base. Further, a circuit board including synthesis circuits in one-to-one correspondence with the antenna elements, respectively, is arranged in an inner space of the antenna elements. In order that omnidirectionality may be exhibited in a horizontal plane, each of the antenna elements includes a helically wound linear conductor, and a planar conductor that is electrically connected to the linear conductor at a part substantially the farthest from a ground plane (antenna base).

Antenna device and method for manufacturing same

Provided is a terrestrial broadcast wave reception-use antenna device having performance that is equivalent to or better than that of a conventional device in frequency bands at or below an FM band even if an antenna element length is shortened to approximately 55 [mm]. Terrestrial broadcast wave reception-use antenna device and component of same

A signal transmission medium for transmitting EHF band signals from a first point to a second point, including: a first end at which a signal exchange with the first point takes place; a second end at which a signal exchange with the second point takes place; and a transmission line portion which is flexible and connects the first end and the second end. The transmission line portion includes: strip conductors which are formed substantially down a center of a flexible printed circuit board to establish electrical connection between a signal line at the first end and a signal line at the second end; and a pair of grounding sheets which are arranged in parallel to each other at a substantially constant gap from the flexible printed circuit board in 180-degree opposite directions. The cavities are formed between the pair of grounding sheets and the strip conductors.

Signal transmission medium conversion mechanism including a probe tip and a flexible transmission line

Provided is a wide band antenna having ultra-wide band and high performance at a low cost. An antenna element constituting a part of an opening cross section structure of a double cylinder ridge waveguide is spread on a plane. The antenna element has a ridge element portion () for adjusting antenna characteristic corresponding to a ridge portion and a radiation element portion () for electromagnetic wave radiation. Substantially at a leading end portion of the ridge element portion (), a feeder terminal () is formed. Ground portions (and) are maintained at a ground potential and the feeder terminal () is guided to an outside as a coplanar waveguide.

Broad band antenna

Provided is an electromagnetic wave transmission medium which is suited for mass production and does not affect a transmission mode. The electromagnetic wave transmission medium includes, as a main element, a flexible cylindrical tube () molded so that a cross-sectional shape of the cylindrical tube in a direction orthogonal to a tube axis is uniform in a direction of the tube axis. The cylindrical tube () includes an inner wall formed of a conductive layer having a thickness equal to or more than a skin depth. The cross-sectional shape is a circular ridge waveguide shape having a ridge () which is oriented to a cylindrical axis and is symmetric with respect to a center, and the ridge () has a structure to be fed with electricity.

Electromagnetic wave transmission medium comprising a flexible circular tube with a solid circle shaped ridge disposed therein

To provide a smaller radar system having a simple structure with as small number of component parts as possible at a lower cost as compared to conventional ones. A radar systemincluding a 3 dB couplerhaving four terminals, and a pulse generator. A first terminalof the 3 dB coupleris supplied with an output signal from a high frequency oscillatorwhile a second terminalof the 3 dB coupleris connected to a transmitting and receiving antenna. Third and fourth terminalsandof the 3 dB couplerare connected to two-state devices, respectively, which are in impedance mismatched only for a predetermined period of time to totally reflect the signal from the 3 dB couplerand are in impedance matched during the time period other than the predetermined time to direct a signal from the 3 dB couplerto a subsequent electronic circuit. The pulse generatorcauses the two-state devicesto be impedance mismatched at the time of transmission and causes the two-state devicesto be impedance matched at the time of reception.

Radar system

There is provided a low-cost wide band antenna having an ultra-wide band and high performance. The wide band antenna includes an antenna element to form a shape of a ridge waveguide open cross-section structure together with GND () when it is spread. The antenna element has a ridge element portion () corresponding to the ridge portion of the ridge waveguide and a radiation element portion () corresponding to the wall of the ridge waveguide and extending from the ridge element portion () for electromagnetic wave radiation. Moreover, the antenna element has an opposing auxiliary element () having the same shape and structure as the ridge element portion (). The radiation element portion () has an end arranged on the GND (). The ridge element portion () has a tip end connected to a power supply terminal ().

Wide band antenna

A plurality of probes such as a signal probe () and a power supply probe () are provided into a metal block () so as to penetrate. Each of the probes has a movable pin (). A tip of the movable pin is projecting from one surface of the metal block (). And a projection length of the tip is variable. A DUTis pressed onto the surface of the metal block () to contact between electrode terminals (to) and tips of the probes to test characteristics of the DUT. At least one of the probes is capacity loaded probe having a capacitor by providing a dielectric layer and a metal film to peripheral of the probe. As a result, noise can be removed reliably. Additionally, when the capacity loaded probe is used as the power supply probe, a voltage drop is reduced at the power supply terminal in a case of change of the output.

Capacity load type probe, and test jig using the same

An IC socket receives an IC provided with arrayed terminals. In the IC socket, a conductive block is formed with a first face opposing to the received IC, and a plurality of holes arrayed in association with the terminals of the received IC. Each of a plurality of contact probes is disposed in each of the holes, and is provided with a conductive pipe, and a conductive plunger, retractably provided at a first end of the pipe, the plunger being to be brought into contact with an associated one of the terminals. A retainer provided with an insulative member through which the pipe is coaxially held within an associated one of the holes while forming a gap between an outer periphery of the pipe and an interior wall of the associated one of the holes. At least one of the contact probes to be brought into contact with an RF signal terminal among the terminals of the received IC is retained by the retainer.

IC socket

A receiving antenna system includes an antenna unit, a receiver unit, a down converter and a DC power/control supply. The antenna unit includes a parabolic reflector, a feed horn and an orthomode transducer, which are configured to capture, isolate, and output respective first and second polarized RF signals. The receiver unit is coupled to the antenna unit and is configured to amplify the respective RF signals and output a selected one of the respective amplified RF signals in response to a DC control signal. The down converter is coupled to the receiver unit via a transmission line and is configured to further amplify, down convert and output the selected amplified RF signal as an intermediate signal. The DC power/control supply is coupled to the receiver unit via the same transmission and is configured to produce a power/control signal that is transmitted over the same transmission line in which the selected amplified RF signal is transmitted, thereby providing power and control to the receiver unit.

Antenna receiving system

A receiving antenna system includes an antenna unit, a receiver unit, a down converter and a DC power/control supply. The antenna unit includes a parabolic reflector, a feed horn and an orthomode transducer, which are configured to capture, isolate, and output respective first and second polarized RF signals. The receiver unit is coupled to the antenna unit and is configured to amplify the respective RF signals and output a selected one of the respective amplified RF signals in response to a DC control signals. The down converter is coupled to the receiver unit via a transmission line and is configured to further amplify, down convert and output the selected amplified RF signal as an intermediate signal. The DC power/control supply is coupled to the receiver unit via the same transmission and is configured to produce a power/control signal that is transmitted over the same transmission line in which the selected amplified RF signal is transmitted, thereby providing power and control to the receiver unit.

An antenna circuit which is improved the deterioration of amplitude characteristic in a strong electric field, an antenna circuit for AM broadcasting which can surely inhibit and damp FM-band signals in the strong electric field and amplifies to output AM-band signals, and an antenna circuit for AM/FM broadcasting in which AM-band signals are not damped by means of an FM-band filter. In the first antenna circuit, the output signal of an antenna ( ) is supplied to the base of a transistor Tr forming a current amplification type amplifier having a high-input and low-output impedance and the emitter of the transistor Tr is grounded through a coil L and connected to an FM receiver ( ) through a band-pass filter ( ). In the second antenna circuit for receiving AM broadcasting, an input terminal is connected to an AM amplifier circuit ( ) through coils (L ) and L in series and to the gate G of a field effect transistor FET. The source S of the transistor FET is grounded and the connecting point of the coils L and L is grounded through a capacitor C and a coil L in series. The second antenna circuit inhibits and damps FM-band signals in a plurality of steps. In the third antenna circuit for AM/FM broadcasting, the output signal of an antenna is divided into two parts and one part is supplied to an FM-band filter ( ) through a serial FM resonance circuit ( ) composed of capacitors and coils. The other part of the output signal is supplied to an AM-band filter ( ).

Antenna circuit

A ground conductor plane and an excitation electrode are provided substantially in parallel with each other. Two electrodes and for respectively radiating a linearly-polarized wave are provided substantially in parallel with the ground conductor plane , with the excitation electrode interposed therebetween. The radiation electrodes are provides in close proximity to the excitation electrode such that one end of each of the radiation electrodes and establishes capacitive coupling with respect to the excitation electrode . The other ends of each of the radiation electrodes and are grounded such that the directions in which electric fields are to be excited becomes substantially orthogonal to each other. For instance, a feeding section is provided in flush with the ground conductor plane and is electrically connected to the excitation electrode via a feeding electrode

Flat antenna for circularly-polarized wave

An antenna for mounting on a vehicle which restrains damping of a signal voltage by reducing a stray capacitance of a signal path and has an improved antenna characteristic and a short physical length, and an antenna element which is suitable for an antenna for mounting on a vehicle and is flexible by using a helical coil of a large winding diameter are provided. In the antenna for mounting on a vehicle, with respect to a band signal having a short wavelength of a plurality of band signals to be transmitted/received, an antenna element is caused to resonate with a physical length shorter than &frac14; of the wavelength of the band signal. A linear line portion is provided at the proximal end, and the antenna element is provided at a predetermined distance from vehicle body and a conductive member of the same electric potential as the vehicle body. The stray capacitance between the proximal end portion of the antenna element and the vehicle body is small, and a signal voltage is outputted without being damped. The antenna element is formed by burying a helical coil coaxially into a flexible insulating resin pipe. The pitch of the helical coil is not shifted even when it is bent repeatedly. Also, no sink mark is generated in the insulating resin pipe.

Antenna for mounting on vehicle, antenna element and manufacturing method thereof
