A vehicular beverage container holder comprises a receptacle with an elongated compartment and an adjuster assembly mounted to the receptacle to define separate beverage container compartments within the compartment for receiving individual beverage containers. The adjuster assembly comprises a body and a pair of adjusters slidably mounted to and extending from opposite sides of the body. Rotation of a knob and gear assembly of the adjuster assembly effects movement of the adjusters relative to the body to adjust the sizes of openings for the beverage container compartments for accommodating a range of beverage container sizes. Additionally, the knob and gear assembly includes a slip clutch mechanism that enables movement of one of the adjusters while movement of the other of the adjusters is retarded by a beverage container.

Multi-chamber vehicular beverage container holder with common actuator

An improved ventilation register for a vehicle and the like is provided which comprises an elongated housing adapted to be mounted in a vehicle and having an inlet opening adapted to be connected to a source of air and an outlet opening adapted to distribute the air into a vehicle compartment. A grille assembly is mounted in the outlet opening of the elongated housing and comprising a grille housing having an inlet opening in register with the inlet opening of the elongated housing and an outlet opening in register with the outlet opening of the elongated housing. At least one directional vane can be mounted in the grille housing which is adapted to direct the flow of air passing through the outlet opening of the elongated housing. A flow directing baffle can be provided in the elongated housing between the inlet opening and the grille assembly adapted to separate the flow of air passing through the elongated housing into two streams and to divert one of the two streams into a first direction different from the other of the two streams. The elongated housing outlet opening or the grille can have a curved surface in register with the one stream of air and downstream from the flow directing baffle to direct the one stream of air toward the other stream of air.

Register for a vehicle

An air vent comprising a first row of air vanes for controlling the lateral orientation of air emitted from the air vent and a second row of air vanes for controlling the vertical orientation of air emitted from the air vent. The first and second row of air vanes can be adjusted independently. The first row of air vanes has a control vane to which is mounted a control knob. The control knob is connected to the second row of air vanes by a ball joint mounted pin, whereby the vertical movement of the control knob results in rotation of the second row of air vanes about a horizontal axis. The control knob is connected to the first row of air vanes by links. The lateral movement of the control knob results in a corresponding parallel rotational movement of the first row of air vanes to control the lateral position of a concentrated stream of the air emitted from the air vent. The control knob is mounted for outward movement which results in rotation of the first row of vanes into a diffused position to diffuse the air emitted from the air vent. The sets of end vanes in the first row of vanes are rotated away from the control knob when the control knob is pulled outwardly of the housing.
