A system and/or method formulates a chemical solution using both volumetric and weight based measurements of components of the chemical solution. The components of the chemical solution include water and at least one other component, which may take any form, such as, without limitation, liquid, solid, powder or gaseous form. Formulation of the chemical solution is administered by combining water with the one or more other components at an output port, from which this combination is dispensed to a solution storage tank. In response to a user's request to formulate a specified amount of the chemical solution, the volume of water provided to the output port is monitored by a flow meter and the weight of the other component(s) provided to the output port is monitored by one or more load cells. Based on such monitoring, appropriate amounts of water and the other component(s) are combined together to formulate the specified amount of the chemical solution in the solution storage tank.

A dispensercreates a use solution. The dispenserincludes a diluent inlet for receiving a source of diluent. A first aspiratoris in fluid communication with the diluent inlet. An operator valvecontrols flow of the diluent. A second aspiratorhas a diluent inlet, diluent outlet and a venturi port. A vacuum switchis operatively connected to the first venturi port and the flow of the diluent through the aspiratorcreates a vacuum that activates the vacuum switch. A control boardis activated by the vacuum switch and a dosing pumpis activated by the control device. The dosing pump dispenses a liquid product into the diluent stream, wherein a use solution is made.

A system and method for formulating a chemical solution using both volumetric and weight based measurements of components of the chemical solution is disclosed. The invention generally relates to a foot activated dispenser and more particularly to a foot activated dispenser for dispensing a liquid product such as a skin care product (i.e. hand soap, hand sanitizer, surgical scrub, lotion, etc.). More specifically, the foot activated dispenser includes a bladder connected to tubing that is connected to a piston pump. The piston pump is located within a shroud that is removably attached to a wall bracket. The wall bracket includes a bottle retainer for holding a bottle having a pump.

In a data media storage library for storing and accessing storage media, the storage media being contained in cartridges, the data media storage library having a library housing, an access opening in the library housing for inserting cartridges, a storage array within the library housing including a number of storage locations, a plurality of media storage elements adapted to hold the storage media, a plurality of data transfer elements adapted to read and write information on the storage media, and a media transport element within the library housing adapted to move the storage media between the media storage element and the data transfer element, an import/export element which rotates the cartridge 180 degrees after moving the cartridge from the access opening to the media transport element, including: a cartridge holder adapted to receive the media cartridge from the access opening; a lead screw mounted in a first direction between the access opening and the media transport element and rotating about a first axis parallel to the first direction and a cartridge holder carrier engaging the lead screw and connected to the cartridge holder for translation of the cartridge holder along the first axis; a keyed nut threaded on the lead screw, the keyed nut having a first slot and a second slot, an intermediate point between the access opening and the media transport element, a first rail extending between the access opening and the intermediate point, and a second rail extending between the intermediate point and the media transport element; one of the first slot and said second slot engaging the first rail between the access opening and the intermediate point and engaging the second rail between the intermediate point and the media transport element; a horizontal gap between the first rail and the second rail at the intermediate point; a first bevel gear fastened to the keyed nut; and a second bevel gear meshing with the first bevel gear and a shaft driven by the second bevel gear and connected to the cartridge holder.

An apparatus for picking and placing media supported in stores and drives of a data storage library without electrical actuation or separate mechanical actuation means of grasping and releasing the media's pick feature, the apparatus including: a carriage movable toward and away from the media, the media being supported in the stores and drives; at least one picker member pivotally attached to the carriage at a pivot point and having a latching portion adapted to engage the media's pick feature. The picker member is movable between an open state wherein the latching portion is spaced from the media's pick feature and a closed state wherein the latching portion engages the media's pick feature. The apparatus also includes a spring having a first end attached to the carriage and a second end attached to the picker member. The spring is alternately orientable between a first orientation wherein the spring biases the picker member toward the media and a second orientation wherein the spring biases the picker member away from the media. The movement of the picker member between the open state and the closed state and between the closed state and the open state is caused by movement of the picker member against the media supported in the stores and drives without any electrical or separate mechanical actuation means cooperating with the picker member.
