A high strength, low density modular columnar structure. In the preferred embodiment, each module is a prism or cuboid having three or four vertical rectangular sides which meet in the module corners. The module ends perpendicular to the sides are the module faces. At least one face has a brace panel. The brace panels and the face are preferably the same shape, but off-set. A plurality of preferably triangular brace arms extends to the module corners. Each brace panel is preferably provided with a centrally located aperture. The lower face of each module is preferably provided with a lip, while the upper face is configured to receive the lip. A cylindrical column extends vertically through the center of each module, and a plurality of struts extends radially from each column. A stack of modules may be secured with a bolt run through the module apertures, an adhesive, or simply gravity.

High strength, low density columnar structure

A high strength low density panel. The panel is formed of sections. Each section will preferably have the shape of a cuboid or a prism. At least one face of each section is provided with a buttress. The sections are preferably inverted relative to each other. The sections are configured so that they share sidewalls with each adjacent section, which creates a series of braces extending across the panel. The prismatic sections are paired to form cuboids. These cuboids have a diagonal internal wall. The internal walls of the cuboids align in the panel to create braces that extend across the panel at an angle to the other braces. Finally, all of the buttresses are configured so that the buttress of adjacent and cater-corner sections meet their respective common section corners at substantially the same point.

High strength low density multi-purpose panel

A vertically stabilized shelf bracket assembly having at least two support strips on which a plurality of shelf brackets are mounted. A cover is provided that aesthetically enhances the shelf bracket assembly and stabilizes it at the same time. In one embodiment, the cover includes a cap and a hanging casing. In one embodiment, apertures are provided in the shelf brackets to support a rod. In another embodiment an adjustable mounting slot is provided in the support strips to facilitate their parallel installation.

Vertically stabilized adjustable shelf bracket assembly

A high strength low density multi-purpose panel. The preferred panel is made of a plurality of sections, organized into rows and columns, and each preferably including two voids. The voids are preferably triangular in cross-section and may be rounded at their apex and corners. Solid strips of material, extending between opposite corners and between the faces of each section, intersect at the center of each face, resulting in an X-shaped cross in each section. Each section is rotated ninety degrees with respect to each adjacent section. Each section shares sides with four adjacent sections and corners with four cater-corned sections. The common sides create perpendicular sets of parallel braces running the panel's length and width. The shared corners align and join the X-shaped cross braces with the X-shaped cross braces of their cater-cornered neighbors, creating diagonal braces that run across the entire panel.

A vertically stabilized shelf bracket assembly having at least two support strips on which at least one cabinet and preferably one or more shelves are mounted. The shelving is stabilized in several ways. First, the brackets are provided with a shelf engaging recess. Second, the brackets are provided with a vertical member which engages the shelves. Preferably, the recess and the vertical member will engage the shelf at opposite ends of the shelf, securing the shelf to the bracket. The shelves can be further stabilized by securing the brackets against vertical displacement. This can be accomplished by securing the shelf brackets to the support strip with a locking pin. With the locking pin in place, the shelf bracket cannot be moved upward.

A vertically stabilized shelf bracket assembly having at least two support strips on which a plurality of shelf brackets are mounted. The shelving is stabilized in several ways. First, the brackets are provided with a shelf engaging recess. The recess is either designed to provide a tight fit for the shelf, or the recess is provided with a shim for tightening the fit. Second, the brackets are provided with a vertical member which engages the shelves. Preferably, the recess and the vertical member will engage the shelf at opposite ends of the shelf, securing the shelf to the bracket. When the shelf is attached to multiple brackets, the shelf will be prevented from pivoting on the bracket. The shelves can be further stabilized by securing the brackets against vertical displacement. This can be accomplished by securing the shelf brackets to the support strip with a locking pin. With the locking pin in place, the shelf bracket cannot be moved upward. Another way of securing the brackets is to provide a vertical stabilizer, comprising an elongated member, preferably of steel or aluminum, having an arm extending perpendicularly therefrom. The arm will fit tightly into a slot in a support strip. When the arm is in place, the elongated member will be positioned over and in contact with the base of the shelf bracket, so that the bracket cannot be moved upward. The vertical stabilizer will be held in place by the cover which fits over the support strips.

A shelf bracket assembly is provided, comprising a plurality of vertical shelf bracket support strips attached to a wall, each said strip having a plurality of slots aligned vertically along the length of said support strips; a plurality of shelf brackets operatively attached to said support strips, each said bracket comprising a base comprising an upper end, a lower end, and vertically aligned hooked portions between said upper and lower ends of a size and shape to lockingly fit within said vertical slots of said support strip, and a horizontal support member fixedly connected to said base and of a size and strength capable of supporting at least half the weight of a shelf; a plurality of covers attached to said support strips for covering said support strips in the space between said shelf brackets, in the space above a top said shelf bracket and in the space below a bottom said shelf bracket.
