Gas burner set

A gas burner includes a base with a first body and a raised annular band on an upper surface of the first body. A flange is formed about an outer periphery of the first body wherein the raised annular band and the flange define a first annular recess therebetween. A first notch is formed in a lower surface of the first body and extends through the flange and communicates with the first annular recess. The first notch is adapted to accommodate spark ignitor therein. A slot is formed in the raised annular band. A first cap includes a peripheral side wall having a distal end dimensioned to be received within the first annular recess. A gap between the distal end and a bottom wall of the first annular recess when the first cap is received therein provides fluid communication between the slot and the first notch.

A burner body includes a wall that defines a combustible-gas chamber. The burner body further includes gas-flow inlet communicating with the combustible-gas chamber and a plurality of burner ports that permit combustible gas to flow from the chamber to an exterior of the burner body. The burner body further includes one or more flow restrictions configured to restrict flow through a proportion of the burner ports. When combustible gas is supplied at a first flow rate, each flow restriction is configured to restrict flow through an associated burner port at a first restriction ratio. When combustible gas is supplied at a second flow rate that is smaller than the first flow rate, each flow restriction is configured to restrict flow through its associated burner port at a second restriction ratio that is less than the first restriction ratio.

A pyrolytic cleaning top burner system for a stove having a normal cooking mode includes a top burner coupled to a stove, a cover for seating on the stove surface, means for heating a top burner, and an exhaust outlet. The cover covers at least the top burner in a cleaning mode. The heating means heats to a cleaning temperature in a cleaning mode that permits baked on food that is positioned under the cover to be disintegrated with heat. The exhaust outlet exhausts air from under the cover. A method for pyrolytically cleaning a top burner of a stove or cooktop is also disclosed.

A broil baffle for an oven may be provided. The oven may include a broil burner configured to distribute heat. The baffle may be positioned such that the broil burner distributes heat toward the baffle. The baffle may include a plurality of dimples configured to disperse infrared radiation from the distributed heat in multiple directions away from the baffle toward a broiling surface of the oven.

A gas burner is provided with multiple fuel rings for a cooking appliance, including an inner flame ring with a plurality of inner flame ports and an outer flame ring with a plurality of outer flame ports. At least one partition wall is disposed between the inner flame ring and the outer flame ring to define an inner fuel plenum and an outer fuel plenum. A fuel port is provided to one of the inner fuel plenum and the outer fuel plenum for providing a combustible fuel-air mixture thereto. The fuel-air mixture is transferred between the inner fuel plenum and the outer fuel plenum via at least one transfer aperture.

Burner designed for wide range of input rates

A tube and fitting assembly can be used in a domestic appliance, such as an oven range, and includes a tube provided through an internal bore of a fitting. The tube includes a first end that is outwardly flared against a shoulder of the fitting via plastic deformation. The inner wall of the tube adjacent the outwardly flared portion is threaded and can be fastened to an orifice such that an internal bore of the orifice is in fluid communication with the tube.
