Methods and systems to commission building environmental sensors are disclosed. The system includes a device that will move about the environment of a building (inside and/or outside) and detect building environmental sensor devices that are installed in the environment. For each of the sensor devices, in response to detecting the sensor device, the system will retrieve an identifier for the sensor device, and it will determine whether the sensor device is registered with a control system. If the sensor device is registered with the control system, the system will not automatically implement a commissioning process with the sensor device. If the sensor device is not registered with the control system, the system will automatically implement the commissioning process with the sensor device.

Method and system for commissioning environmental sensors

A system that includes an energy device having an active region configured to generate or consume electrical energy provided by an electrical current is discussed. A current limiter is disposed between the energy device and a current collector layer. The current limiter controls the current flow between the energy device and the current collector layer. A plurality of electrochemical transistors (ECTs) are arranged in an array such that each ECT in the array provides localized current control for the energy device. Each ECT includes a gate electrode, a drain electrode, a source electrode, and a channel disposed between the drain and the source electrodes. An electrolyte electrically couples the gate electrode to the channel such that an electrical signal at the gate electrode controls electrical conductivity of the channel. The current collector layer is a shared drain or source electrode for the ECTs.

Current control systems and methods

A system for treatment of thread includes a weft thread printer having an intake positioned to receive a weft thread from a source, as well as an encoder that is configured to detect a length of the weft thread as the weft thread moves through the weft thread printer along a travel path. The system also includes a printhead positioned to apply coatings of a plurality of colors to the weft thread and yield a treated weft thread, as well as an outlet positioned to pass the treated weft thread to a loom.

A system and method for determining HVAC set points are provided. A present season is determined. An allowable temperature comfort range for each occupant in a room in a space is also determined. For each room, an energy saving set point temperature is calculated for the space based on the allowable temperature comfort range for that room. A set point temperature for the space is determined based on the energy saving set point temperatures for each of the rooms in the space. The set point temperature is provided to a thermostat or HVAC system to regulate temperature in the building.

System and method for determining HVAC set points

A transform memory controller is described herein wherein the transform memory controller comprises logic elements configured to perform desired transform operations on data that flows to-and-from conventional computer memory elements. The transform operations are configured to perform operations on such data without the need for such data to travel to-and-from the conventional computer memory element via the processor (e.g., Central Processing Unit (CPU)) of the computer system. Several desirable transform operations are herein disclosed.

A method is disclosed. For example, the method includes applying a clear coat layer on a substrate, drying the clear coat layer to form random microstructures in the clear coat layer, dispensing a printing fluid to print a graphical pattern on the clear coat layer, and generating a physical unclonable function (PUF) pattern by drying the printing fluid that fills the random microstructures formed in the clear coat layer.

A method of forming a colorimetric sensor includes depositing a first material onto a substrate, providing porous sensing particles, wherein the sensing particles comprise sensing species dispersed into a porous host structure, and embedding the porous sensing particles onto a surface of the deposited first material, the first material attaching the sensing particles to the substrate with at least a portion of the sensing particles is exposed to an ambient environment.

Methods and systems to commission building environmental sensors are disclosed. A printing system for producing at least one three dimensional (3D) printed part is described. The printing system includes a deposition system configured to continuously deposit a layer onto a cylinder to outwardly extend a diameter of the cylinder, wherein the layer comprises a first pattern. The printing system also includes a rotating system configured to rotate the cylinder, and a control system configured to synchronize the deposition system with the cylinder.

Apparatus for continuous high-speed 3D printing

A method of providing high-speed three dimensional (3D) printing is described. The method includes producing at least one three dimensional (3D) printed part. Producing the 3D part includes continuously constructing to extend outwardly a diameter of a rotating cylindrical core via continuous deposition of a layer, and defining a first pattern in the continuously deposited layer corresponding to a cross-section of the at least one 3D printed part.

Printable unclonable function patterns

Control loop latency can be accounted for in predicting positions of micro-objects being moved by using a hybrid model that includes both at least one physics-based model and machine-learning models. The models are combined using gradient boosting, with a model created during at least one of the stages being fitted based on residuals calculated during a previous stage based on comparison to training data. The loss function for each stage is selected based on the model being created. The hybrid model is evaluated with data extrapolated and interpolated from the training data to prevent overfitting and ensure the hybrid model has sufficient predictive ability. By including both physics-based and machine-learning models, the hybrid model can account for both deterministic and stochastic components involved in the movement of the micro-objects, thus increasing the accuracy and throughput of the micro-assembly.

A system and method of printing on a strand element with a printer head. The printer head includes a conduit and a cavity formed within the conduit, wherein the cavity is configured to receive the strand element and pass the strand element from a first end of the cavity to a second end of the cavity. The printer head also includes a set of nozzles formed on the conduit and positioned on a perimeter of the cavity around a first target location within the cavity, wherein at least one of the nozzles is a fluid nozzle configured to dispense a fluid, and at least one of the nozzles is a vacuum nozzle configured to apply a vacuum force on the cavity.

An apparatus includes a jet that applies a liquid binder to an application surface and a particle applicator. The particle applicator includes a particle reservoir with at least one movable surface, an electrically controlled actuator that causes vibrations of the movable surface, and a dispersal port though which particles can exit the particle reservoir. A controller is coupled to cause the vibrations via the actuator. The vibrations result in movement of the particles through the dispersal port towards the liquid binder on the application surface.
