Aspects are provided which allow an MA PDU session to establish over two 3GPP accesses respectively via different PLMNs associated with respective USIMs of a MUSIM device. During registration, the MUSIM UE may transmit a registration request to a base station of a first PLMN indicating a UE capability for a MA PDU session associated with a MUSIM device. The MA PDU session includes a plurality of PDU sessions associated with a single access type. Afterwards, the UE may transmit a PDU session establishment request for a first PDU session of the PDU sessions in the first PLMN and for a second PDU session of the PDU sessions in a second PLMN, where the first PLMN is associated with a first USIM of the UE, and the second PLMN is associated with a second USIM of the UE. Consequently, MA PDU sessions associated with MUSIM devices may be established.

Multi-access PDU sessions for multi-USIM devices

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a network may establish a multiple access (MA) packet data unit (PDU) session for a local area data network (LADN) and may reconfigure a registration area to map to a LADN service area. A network may establish an MA PDU session for an LADN, but may steer traffic to only one of two access links. A network may reject a request for an MA PDU if it is for an LADN. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to trigger a UE registration update or other location information if it leaves an LADN service area while in an idle mode with one access network and a connected mode with the other access network. A UE may request LADN registration, and the network may provide the UE with an indication that MA PDU sessions for the LADN are not supported.

Multi-access packet data unit sessions for local area data networks

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may monitor one or more first conditions pertaining to non-cellular communications between the UE and a non-cellular network while the UE is operating in a dual networking mode for steering, switching, or splitting traffic (e.g., an access traffic steering, switching, and splitting (ATSSS) mode) between the non-cellular network and a cellular network. The UE may predict an availability status of at least the non-cellular network based on at least one of the one or more first conditions. In some cases, the UE may determine whether to change dual networking modes based on the availability status and may communicate in accordance with the same or a different dual networking mode using at least one of the cellular network, the non-cellular network, or a combination thereof based on the prediction.

Certain aspects of the subject matter described in this disclosure can be implemented in a method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). The method generally includes registering with a first public land mobile network (PLMN) of a first network operator in response to detection of an interruption event associated with a second PLMN of a second network operator; determining that the interruption event has ended; and taking one or more actions to communicate with the second PLMN in response to the ending of the interruption event, wherein taking the one or more actions to communicate with the second PLMN is based on a constraint associated with access attempts to the second PLMN.

Techniques for managing access combinations for multiple access protocol data unit (PDU) sessions are described. A communication device may receive control signaling indicating a configuration for a multiple access PDU session associated with a plurality of access links. The plurality of access links may be associated with a first type of access, a second type of access, or a combination thereof. The communication device may select a mode for allocation of a data flow associated with the multiple access PDU session to the plurality of access links based at least in part on the received control signaling. The communication device may allocate the data flow associated with the multiple access PDU session to the plurality of access links based at least in part on the selected mode, and transmit the allocated data flow over the plurality of access links associated with the two types of access.

Techniques for managing access combinations for multiple access protocol data unit sessions

Systems and techniques are described for processing media content, such as samples of sparse media content whose sample durations can be unknown at the time of decoding the samples, include obtaining, at a current time instance, a current fragment comprising at least a current time component. From the current time component, a modified duration is obtained for at least one media sample, the modified duration indicating a time duration by which a presentation of a previous media sample of a previous fragment is to be extended or reduced in relation to the current time instance. The at least one media sample is presented for a time duration based on the modified duration.

In one example, a device for retrieving media data includes a memory configured to store an ISO Base Media File Format (ISO BMFF) file including one or more samples including hypertext markup language (HTML) elements defining dynamic web content, and a processing unit implemented in circuitry and configured to: retrieve the ISO BMFF file, extract the HTML elements from the samples of the file, and processing the HTML elements to present the dynamic web content. The HTML elements may include JavaScript elements. The processing unit may also present the dynamic web content in a manner that is synchronized with corresponding media data.
