A fluid-fitting tool is disclosed that can align with and rotationally couple with a fluid fitting where the fluid-fitting tool can include a passage and an engagement feature for engaging against the fluid fitting such that when the fluid-fitting tool is spaced apart from the fluid fitting, the fluid-fitting tool can move in a longitudinal direction toward and away from the fluid fitting, and can rotate relative to the fluid fitting around a longitudinal axis of the passage, and when a portion of the fluid-fitting tool and the fluid fitting are rotationally aligned and longitudinally overlap, the fluid-fitting tool can move longitudinally relative to the fluid fitting, and the fluid fitting is rotated when the fluid-fitting tool is rotated around a longitudinal axis of the passage.

Fluid-fitting tool

Drip chambers are described herein. A drip chamber comprises an inlet, an outlet, and a chamber body. The chamber body defines a chamber volume in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet. The chamber body is movable between a collapsed configuration having a first volume and an expanded configuration having a second volume. The second volume is larger than the first volume, and the chamber body is configured to be moved from the collapsed configuration to the expanded configuration to draw in a medical fluid from the inlet into the chamber volume to prime the drip chamber.

Junction assemblies for joining intravenous (IV) devices to tubing are provided. A junction assembly includes a component connector and a shaped memory polymer (SMP) member formed of a shape changing material. The junction assembly allows movement of the tube along the component connector when the SMP member is in an expanded state and the junction assembly retains the tube securely against the component connector when the SMP member is in a contracted state. The shape changing material changes to one of the expanded state and the contracted state upon being subjected to an external stimuli. Methods of assembling junction assemblies are also provided.

Tubing retention systems are described herein. A tubing retention system includes a spigot, a tubing, and a collar. The spigot includes a spigot body and a spigot extension extending from the spigot body, wherein the spigot extension comprises a flared portion opposite to the spigot body and the spigot body and the spigot extension cooperatively define a spigot lumen. The tubing includes an outer surface and a tubing lumen, wherein a coupling portion of the tubing is disposed around the spigot extension, permitting fluid communication between the tubing lumen and the spigot lumen. The collar is disposed radially around the outer surface of the tubing and axially between the flared portion and the spigot body, wherein the collar radially engages the coupling portion of the tubing disposed around the spigot extension to axially and radially retain the tubing with the spigot.

Fluid flow manifold assemblies for use in fluid flow sets are provided. The fluid flow manifold assembly includes a body having a main fluid channel and a reinforcing plate, the main fluid channel having a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and a drug port. A flow control assembly is disposed opposite the main fluid channel from the drug port. The flow control assembly is configured to shut off fluid flow through the drug port into the main fluid channel with a plunger of the flow control assembly in a closed position and to allow incremental levels of fluid flow through the drug port into the main fluid channel by variably retracting the plunger based on rotation of a knob of the flow control assembly.

An intracardiac pacemaker device, comprising a housing that is configured to be implanted entirely within a ventricle (V) of a heart (H), an electronic module for generating pacing pulses, a battery for supplying energy to the electronic module, an elongated lead extension protruding from the housing, at least a first electrode arranged on the elongated lead extension, and a pacing electrode and a return electrode for applying the pacing pulses to cardiac tissue, wherein the pacing electrode is arranged on the housing. The electronic module is electrically coupled to the pacing electrode via the housing, and wherein the electronic module is configured to carry out measurements of electrical activity via the at least one first electrode of the elongated lead extension.

Anti-snagging components for use in infusion sets are provided. The anti-snagging component includes a sliding surface that guides an infusion set component past an obstruction when the infusion set is moved during manufacture or use. An anti-snagging structure may be integrally formed as a portion of an infusion set component or the anti-snagging structure may be a separate component that connects or attaches to an infusion set component. Some anti-snagging structures include a covering portion to cover a needleless connector and a tail portion to connect to a length of tubing. The covering portion may include an anti-microbial coating.

A system and method for installing/implanting a leadless implant can include a leadless implant with shortened tine-based anchors and an implantation tool with a modified tip. The tines can extend from a surface of the leadless implant and may include a preformed curve or other shape to enable the tine to hook into or grapple tissue. The implantation tool may be provided with a modified tip to assist with proper alignment, insertion, and anchoring of the shortened tines. A tip of the implantation tool can have a reduced inner diameter to cause the tine tips to be approximately normal to the surface of the tissue to which the implant is being anchored. Upon deployment of the leadless implant, the tines of the anchoring mechanism are appropriately aligned for proper insertion so that robust anchoring is achieved.

Further, the invention relates to an implantable medical device (e.g., an implantable cardiac pacemaker) comprising such an anchoring device.

System, method, and tool for implanting an electrode cuff. The system can include a cuff and a slider implement, where the cuff is temporarily retained within and/or onto the slider implement by a retainer mechanism during implantation. The cuff can be structured to exhibit a natural rolled shape, but can be resiliently bendable so as to flex from the rolled shape while having a tendency to move back to the rolled shape. The cuff can be releasably secured to a portion of the slider implement, which may include holding the cuff in an unrolled shape. The cuff can then be positioned adjacent the nerve. The retainer mechanism can then be actuated to allow the cuff to advance towards its naturally rolled shape, thereby wrapping around the nerve.

System, method and tool for implanting peripheral nerve electrode cuff

A multipurpose golf tool includes a mounting base that can be secured to the free end of a golf shaft at the golf grip. The mounting base is used to mount selected implements each having multiple capabilities for picking up or securing objects thereby enabling a golfer to retrieve and hold objects without having to kneel or bend over. The selected implements include various embodiments of a ball retrieving and holding cup in, a ball marker retrieving and holding implement, a flagstick pick-up implement, and a golf tee retrieving and holding implement. Multiple implements may be mounted to the mounting base in a stacked configuration, or the implements may be mounted individually.
