The present invention is a force detecting controlling device for a screw of an injection molding machine, which utilities a load cell as a force sensor for injection, holding pressure and back pressure. The load cell arranged on a rear fixed plate directly detects a force applied onto a ball screw nut. Because the ball screw nut is fastened on the load cell, and the load cell is fixed on the rear fixed plate, the force on a ball screw is directly transmitted to the ball screw nut. Therefore, a total value of the force on the ball screw produced by back pressure and friction among mechanical parts are equal to a force value of the ball screw nut applying onto the load cell. The injection force detected via the load cell for an instant response reaches a close loop control and procedures of holding pressure and back pressure are specifically controlled as well.

Force detecting controlling device of a screw for an injection molding machine

A clamping unit for use in an injection molding machine is proposed, wherein a plurality of tie bars are symmetrically positioned and mounted in parallel to corners of a front platen and a rear platen, and a movable platen is movably sleeved about the tie bars and positioned between the front and rear platens. A servo-motor mounted on the rear platen acts as a power source for operating the clamping unit. A belt-gear mechanism associated with the servo-motor transmits torque force and turning speed provided from the servo-motor to a ball screw transmission mechanism connected to the belt-gear mechanism. The ball screw transmission mechanism converts the torque force into axial pushing force, so as to drive a toggle linkage mechanism that interconnects the rear platen and the movable platen, and move the movable platen along the tie bars for performing mold-opening and mold-clamping operations.

Servo-driven clamping unit for use in injection molding machine

An injection molding apparatus has a barrel for conveying a molten substance, a screw, a first base for supporting the barrel, a power unit, a second base for supporting the power unit, links, a motor, a screw driver, a plurality of injection guide links, and an injection connecting plate. The first base is threadedly secured to the bed. The barrel has one end secured to the first base. The power unit is fixed on the second base. The links each have one end connected to the first base and the other end connected to the second base. The screw driver between the bases is moved under the guidance of the injection guide links. The injection guide links penetrate through the second base, having one end secured to the screw driver with the injection connecting plate provided in the second base. The injection connecting plate is pivotably secured to the power unit. These features are adopted to the deformation caused by heat, and provide a closed loop of force, isolation of deformation, and a modular design that is particularly suitable to high speed injection molding.
