Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for handling report of channel state information for sidelink. A method performed by a base station comprises receiving, from a first terminal device, at least one report indicating channel state information of at least one sidelink connection associated with the first terminal device.

Method and apparatus for handling sidelink reports

A technique for transmitting and receiving data in a radio communication from a second radio device to a first radio device is described. As to a method aspect of the technique, one or more radio resources are determined based on radio signals received at the first radio device. The one or more radio resources comprise at least one spatial stream among different spatial streams receivable at the first radio device. A status message indicative of the one or more determined radio resources is transmitted to the second radio device. The data from the second radio device is received at the first radio device on at least one radio resource depending on the one or more radio resources indicated in the transmitted status message.

Technique for device-to-device communication based on radio signals received from one or more radio sources

According to an aspect, there is provided a method performed by a communication network for negotiating a data transfer between an application service and a user equipment, UE, via the communication network. The method comprises receiving, from the application service or a negotiation function associated with the application service, a request for data transfer, wherein the request includes an indication of an amount of data to be transferred and one or more of the following: one or more service constraints associated with the data transfer; and a trajectory of the UE; obtaining predicted capacity for network resources needed to execute the data transfer according to the information included with the request; based on the predicted capacity, determining whether the request can be fulfilled according to the information included with the request; and sending a response to the request based on the result of the determination.

Predictive, cached, and cost-efficient data transfer

A first radio device may send SL control information to a second radio device. The SL control information indicates at least one radio resource for transmission of a reference signal from the first radio device. The second radio device receives the reference signal. Further, the second radio device may forward the received sidelink control information to one or more other radio devices. Based on the received reference signal, the second radio device estimates quality of a radio channel between the first radio device and the second radio device. The estimated quality of the radio channel, may be used to control an SL radio transmission between the first radio device and the second radio device.

Reference signal management for sidelink radio transmission

A radio device receives a first message from a further radio device. The first message indicates an intention of the further radio device to perform a device-to-device radio transmission on a set of radio resources. The radio device determines a status of the set of radio resources. In response to the first message, the radio device sends a second message comprising an indicator which indicates the determined status of the set of radio resources in terms of at least three levels.

Operations thereof include sending, by a first system and to a user equipment, an activation notification that activates a dangerous area and causes the user equipment to increase a reporting granularity corresponding to a location of the user equipment. The dangerous area corresponds to an area that includes a vehicle operating therein. The reporting granularity is increased relative to a first reporting granularity. Operations include receiving, from the user equipment, location reporting data that is provided at the increased granularity and sending, to a second system, a first notification that corresponds to determining that the Vulnerable Road User (VRU) will be in the dangerous area.

A single reference signal sequence is assigned to simultaneous transmissions of a plurality of physical channels, each physical channel occupying a different frequency region of a frequency range, each physical channel having different characteristics. An adjustment of a Power Spectral Density, PSD, of the single reference signal sequence is provided in each physical channel of the physical channels in the frequency region occupied by the physical channel.

According to certain embodiments, a method is provided by a distribution node for location aware scheduling. The method includes determining information about a condition associated with a packet. At least one Quality of Service, QoS, parameter is adjusted based on the information about the condition associated with the packet. The at least one QoS parameter is used to schedule the packet for transmission to a receiver based on the at least one adjusted QoS parameter.

A wireless device configured for transmission using a transmission scheme other than a multi-antenna transmission scheme is provided. Methods for multi-antenna transmission in vehicular communications

The methods and apparatus disclosed herein processes reference signals in an antenna diversity system, e.g., where both the transmitting and receiving devices use multiple antennas. The solution presented herein process reference signals at the transmitting device in such a way to enable the receiving device to efficiently and accurately estimate the covariance matrix associated with data transmitted using transmitter diversity. This is achieved by processing the reference signals used for the covariance estimation and the data signals in the same way, e.g., by precoding data and reference signal portions of one or more signals using the same coding scheme.

The disclosure relates to methods of operating a first wireless terminal providing network communication with a radio access network using a network carrier and providing sidelink communications using a sidelink carrier. A scheduling grant may be received from the radio access network using a network subframe of the network carrier. First and second time measurements relating to the sidelink carrier and the network carrier respectively may be obtained. Responsive to the scheduling grant, the first time measurement, and the second time measurement, a communication sidelink subframe of the sidelink carrier may be selected to be used for a sidelink communication.

Methods providing scheduling for sidelink communications and related wireless terminals and network nodes

A technique for determining channel coefficients for a first array of antennas coupled through respective first phase shifters to a first radio chain and a second array of antennas coupled through respective second phase shifters to a second radio chain is described. As to a method aspect of the technique, pairs of first and second phase vectors are applied to the first and second phase shifters, respectively. Each of the pairs defines complementary directional gains at the first and second arrays for receiving reference signals. A channel estimation is performed in each of the first and second radio chains for each of the pairs based on the received reference signals. Based on the channel estimations for each of the pairs, at least one channel coefficient for the antennas in each of the first and second arrays is determined.

Technique for radio channel estimation

A method by a first UE for selecting a radio resource for transmitting a packet, includes obtaining a basic period value related to expected timing of transmissions by a second UE. A sub-period value is obtained that is less than the basic period value. Radio resources are monitored for a packet or booking message that is transmitted by the second UE and indicates that the second UE will potentially transmit a next packet using a radio resource and timing. The monitoring is restricted to a timeframe determined based on the sub-period value within each occurrence of a time period determined based on the basic period value. Responsive to the monitoring identifying the packet or booking message, a radio resource is selected for use in transmitting a packet based on the radio resource and timing that is potentially to be used by the second UE to transmit the next packet.
