A motor control apparatus includes: a booster circuit electrically connected to a battery; and an inverter electrically connected to the booster circuit at one end and electrically connected to a motor at another end. The motor control apparatus is provided with a controller configured to control the inverter to output square wave voltage to the motor, thereby driving the motor. The controller is configured to control the inverter to temporarily invert voltage polarity associated with the square wave voltage, on the basis of a phase difference between a voltage command associated with the motor and an electric current associated with the motor, on condition that an operating point of the motor is in a resonance region, which is an operation area in which resonance is generated in the booster circuit.

Motor control apparatus

A control apparatus for a vehicle including a three-phase AC motor and a power converter, the control apparatus includes an ECU. The ECU is configured to determine whether a rotation speed of the three-phase AC motor is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold and whether a stopping operation of the vehicle is performed, to determine that the vehicle stops when the rotation speed is equal to or less than the predetermined threshold and the stopping operation is performed, to determine whether the vehicle skids, and to switch a state of the power converter to a state where all on one side of the first and second switching elements are turned off and at least one on the other side of the first and second switching elements is turned on when the ECU determines that the vehicle stops and that the vehicle does not skid.

Control apparatus and control method of vehicle

A control system for a vehicle including a three-phase AC motor, a first switching device, a second switching device, and a power converter, is provided. The control system includes a short-circuit detector, and an ECU. The ECU is configured to: (a) control the power converter, when it is determined that the vehicle is stopped, so as to place, the power converter in a predetermined condition in which one of the first switching device and the second switching device for all of the three phases is in an OFF state, and (b) control the power converter when the short-circuit detector detects a short circuit in one of the first switching devices and the second switching devices, so that said one of the first and second switching devices in which the short circuit is detected provides the ON state in the predetermined condition.

Vehicle control system and control method

An engine stop device includes: a detection part that detects a difference between a current position of a crankshaft and a target stop position of the crankshaft; and a control part that controls a motor based on the detected difference so that the crankshaft is able to approach the target stop position when an engine is stopped or after the engine is stopped. The control part selects one of a plurality of maps that define a relationship between a moving distance and a rotational speed based on the detected difference, and controls the motor based on the selected map.

Engine stop device

An adapter includes a signal generation unit. By connection between the adapter and a plug of a charging cable used when performing external charging with electric power from an external power supply, the signal generation unit supplies a signal instructing power feeding to a vehicle. In response to the signal instructing power feeding, the vehicle drives a power conversion device, thereby supplying electric power from the vehicle to an external electrical device through the charging cable.

A first opening/closing device is connected between a power storage device and a first pair of power lines. A second opening/closing device is connected between the power storage device and a second pair of power lines. A third opening/closing device opens and closes an electric conduction path between the power storage device and each of the first opening/closing device and the second opening/closing device. When starting to externally supply electric power, a control device charges a first capacitor connected between the first pair of power lines by closing the first opening/closing device and the third opening/closing device, and thereafter charges a second capacitor connected between the second pair of power lines by closing the second opening/closing device and opening the third opening/closing device.

Power source system, vehicle including same, and method for controlling power source system

During external charging, a charger converts AC electric power from an external power supply into electric power for charging a main battery. An AC/DC converter converts the AC electric power on the power line into auxiliary electric power. The charger is further capable of executing power conversion for converting output electric power of the main battery into AC electric power for output to the power line. While a vehicle is running, normally, the charger and the AC/DC converter are stopped, and the auxiliary electric power obtained by converting the output electric power of the main battery by a main DC/DC converter is output. At the time of regenerative braking of the vehicle, where charging of the main battery is prohibited or restricted, the charger and the AC/DC converter are further operated to intentionally increase loss power, thereby generating auxiliary electric power.

Power source apparatus for electrically powered vehicle and control method therefor

A charging system includes a locking device locking a connector provided at the end of a cable in the state where the connector is connected to an inlet provided in a vehicle; a release button for releasing locking by the locking device; a switch generating a signal indicating that the connector and the inlet are connected; a horn; and an ECU. In response to the operation of the release button, the switch stops generation of the signal. The ECU controls charging of a power storage device and detects whether the signal is issued or not. In the case where the ECU detects that generation of the signal is stopped during charging of the power storage device, the ECU causes the horn to issue an alarm.

Charging system

A conventional vehicular charging port (or inlet) is geometrically different from a power supply plug of general electrical equipment, and the power supply plug cannot directly be connected to the inlet. The present invention provides an adapter () including a first connection portion () that corresponds in geometry to an inlet () and a second connection portion () that corresponds in geometry to a power supply plug of electrical equipment () external to a vehicle. Furthermore, the adapter () includes a second control device () capable of outputting a signal to a first control device () of the vehicle. When the first connection portion () is connected to the inlet (), the second control device () outputs a power supply instruction signal, which is indicative of an instruction to supply electric power, to the first control device () to cause the first control device () to control a power conversion device () of the vehicle to supply electric power from the power conversion device () to the electrical equipment (). Thus the power supply plug of the electrical equipment () can be connected to the vehicle to supply electric power from the vehicle to the electrical equipment ().

Adapter and vehicle equipped therewith, and method for controlling the vehicle

An adapter includes a signal generation unit and a leakage generation circuit. The signal generation unit provides a signal instructing power feeding to a vehicle when the adapter is connected to a plug of a charging cable used for external charging with electric power from an external power supply. When the plug and the adapter are not completely fitted to each other, the leakage generation circuit electrically connects the power transmission path to a ground to cause a leakage state. In the vehicle, in response to a signal instructing power feeding, a power conversion device is driven to supply electric power from the vehicle to an external electrical device through the charging cable. Then, when the leakage state is caused by the leakage generation circuit, power feeding to the electrical device is stopped.

A power supply system includes: a first electrical storage device; a charging device charging the first electrical storage device with external power from an external power supply; a second electrical storage device supplying an auxiliary load with a voltage lower than an output voltage of the first electrical storage device; a first converter stepping down a voltage of power from the first electrical storage device and supplying the auxiliary load and the second electrical storage device with a voltage; a second converter having a capacity smaller than that of the first converter and charging the second electrical storage device with the external power; and a controller, when the external power is charged, controlling charging power from the charging device to the first electrical storage device and charging power from the second converter to the second electrical storage device based on a state of charge of the second electrical storage device.

An electrically powered vehicle has a main battery and an auxiliary battery mounted therein. In external charging, a charging device performs AC/DC power conversion converting power received from an external power supply into power charged to main battery. A sub charging relay is connected between a predetermined node on an electric conduction path of the charging device in the AC/DC power conversion and the auxiliary battery. The sub charging relay is turned off in the external charging. The charging device is configured such that when the external charging is not performed and the sub charging relay is turned on the charging device performs DC/DC power conversion to convert power of the main battery via at least a portion of the electric conduction path in the AC/DC power conversion into power to be charged to the auxiliary battery and outputs the converted power on the predetermined node.

Power supply apparatus for electrically powered vehicle and method for controlling the same

A switching relay is configured to switch between a first power feeding path for feeding power from a charge inlet to an outlet and a second power feeding path for feeding power from a power storage device to the outlet. A PM-ECU controls the switching relay to switch between the first power feeding path and the second power feeding path, based on a result of comparison between a power cost in a case where the power is fed to the outlet through the first power feeding path and a power cost in a case where the power is fed to the outlet through the second power feeding path.

An AC/DC converter is configured to perform voltage conversion on power supplied from an AC power supply and supply the power to an auxiliary load during external charging in which a main power storage device is charged by the AC power supply. An auxiliary power storage device stores power to be supplied to the auxiliary load. A diode permits discharging of the auxiliary power storage device while preventing charging of the auxiliary power storage device during the external charging. A current sensor detects discharging of the auxiliary power storage device. A controller adjusts an output voltage of the AC/DC converter while confirming whether or not the auxiliary power storage device discharges, based on a detection value of the current sensor.

Vehicle charging system and electrically powered vehicle provided with the same

A hybrid vehicle () includes a voltage step-up device (). The voltage step-up device () is provided between driving devices () and an electrical storage device (), and steps up input voltages of the driving devices () to a voltage of the electrical storage device () or above. An HV-ECU () determines whether it is possible to reduce a CO2 emissions for a predetermined travel route by increasing the voltage of the electrical storage device (). Then, when it is determined that it is possible to reduce the CO2 emissions, the HV-ECU () controls an SOC of the electrical storage device () so as to increase the SOC at a start of the travel route.
