A composition contains (A) an ethylene/a-olefin copolymer having a density from 0.855 g/cc to 0.895 g/cc and a melt viscosity, at 177° C., from 5,000 mPa-s to 50,000 mPa-s; (B) a functionalized propylene-based polymer containing from 1 wt % to 10 wt % functional groups, the functionalized propylene-based polymer having a melt viscosity, at 190° C., from greater than 10,000 mPa-s to 50,000 mPa-s and a weight average molecular weight, Mw, greater than 30,000 g/mol; (C) a tackifier; and (D) a wax.

Adhesive composition

The present disclosure provides an electrochemical cell. In an embodiment, the electrochemical cell includes a separator disposed between an optional anode and an optional cathode. The separator includes (A) a porous substrate and (B) a porous coating layer on the substrate. The porous substrate (A) is composed of an olefin-based polymer having a melting point, Tm, greater than 130° C. The porous coating layer (B) has a melting temperature from 80° C. to 110° C. The porous coating layer (B) is composed of a plurality of microparticles, and an optional binding agent. The microparticles have an average particle size from 0.3 microns to 1.5 microns. The microparticles are composed of (i) an ethylene-based polymer, having (a) a density from 0.90 g/cc to less than 0.94 g/cc, (b) a Tm from 90° C. to 120° C., (c) a melt index from 30 g/10 min to 600 g/10 min. The microparticles also include (ii) a dispersant composed of a C-Caliphatic fatty acid. The microparticles also include (iii) an optional acid functional wax.

Shutdown separator

The present disclosure provides a composition. The composition contains (A) an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer containing (i) ethylene and (ii) from 20 wt % to 35 wt % C-Cα-olefin comonomer, the ethylene/α-olefin copolymer having a density from 0.880 g/cc to 0.895 g/cc, a melt viscosity, at 177° C., from 4,000 mPa·s to 20,000 mPa·s, and a glass transition temperature from −55° C. to −20° C.; (B) a tackifier, and (C) a wax.

Olefin multi-block copolymer / silicone rubber / tackifier compositions and foams

A process of adhering a foam structure to a rubber substrate is provided. The foam structure is composed of a first composition comprising a first ethylene-based polymer having a peak melting temperature T. A film composed of a second composition comprising a second ethylene-based polymer having a melt index&#x2264;10 g/10 min and a peak melting temperature Tis applied to the surface of the rubber substrate to form a rubber substrate/film configuration. A compression force is applied at a temperature T(38&#xb0; C.&#x2264;T&#x3c;T) to form a vulcanized rubber/film laminate. The foam structure is applied to a surface of the film of the vulcanized rubber/film laminate to form a vulcanized rubber-film laminate/foam configuration. A compression force is applied at a temperature T, wherein T&#x3c;T&#x3c;T, 15&#xb0; C.&#x2264;(T&#x2212;T)&#x2264;40&#xb0; C., and 10&#xb0; C.&#x2264;(T&#x2212;T)&#x2264;70&#xb0; C., to form a vulcanized rubber-film/foam laminate.

A composition comprising an acid and/or anhydride grafted ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer that comprises the following properties: A) number of grafts per polymer chain&#x2265;1.80, and B) melt viscosity (at 177&#xb0; C.)&#x2264;50,000 mPa&#xb7;s.

Functionalized ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymers with high graft levels

The present disclosure provides a composition. In an embodiment a composition is provided and includes: (A) a propylene-based interpolymer having the following: (i) a density from 0.850 g/cc to 0.900 g/cc; and (ii) a melt viscosity, at 177&#xb0; C., less than, or equal to, 10, 000 mPa&#xb7;s.; and (B) a rosin ester containing the following: (i) greater than, or equal to, 75 mol % aliphatic carbon, based on total moles of carbon in the rosin ester; and (ii) less than, or equal to, 3.0 mol % ester group carbon, based on total moles of carbon in the rosin ester.
