Scanning device assemblies including scanning devices and associated bases. An example scanning device assembly includes a scanning device including a housing, an optical imaging assembly disposed in the housing, and a base. The optical imaging assembly having an imaging field of view (FOV). The optical imaging assembly configured to capture one or more images of an environment appearing within the FOV. The base includes a base coupling portion to mate with a housing portion of the scanning device for supporting the scanning device during operation. The scanning device assembly includes a magnetic-rotational coupling formed between the scanning device and the base and allowing the scanning device to rotate relative to the base, while the base maintains support of the scanning device.

Scanning device assemblies including scanning devices and associated bases

A barcode scanner assembly for capturing at least one object appearing in a field of view (FOV) is provided that includes a base defining a curved base surface and a scanner enclosure being mechanically coupled to the base. The scanner enclosure includes a top portion and a bottom portion opposite the top portion. The bottom portion of the scanner enclosure is positioned proximate to the base. The bottom portion of the scanner enclosure includes a curved scanner enclosure surface. The curved base surface and the curved scanner enclosure surface are nested such that a clearance of less than approximately 5 mm is formed between the curved base surface and the curved scanner enclosure surface.

Industrial digital barcode scanner

A barcode reader assembly for capturing at least one object appearing in a field of view (FOV) is provided that includes a reader, a gear member, and a stand. The reader includes a reader enclosure having a top portion and a bottom portion which forms a base. The gear member includes a gear member coupling portion, and is mechanically coupled to the bottom portion of the reader enclosure. The stand includes a platform and a platform coupling portion. The gear member coupling portion is mechanically coupled to the platform coupling portion such that the reader is rotatable relative to the stand.

Digital barcode reader

A compact, rugged, environmentally-sealed, electrically non-conductive, antenna radome protects an antenna of a handheld radio frequency (RF) identification (RFID) reader operative for scanning RFID tags. A rear housing is directly connected to a front housing, each constituted of an electrically non-conductive material. A support structure in the housings supports the antenna to enable RF signals to be transmitted or received by the antenna forwardly through the housings during scanning without being detuned by electrically conductive materials and electrically conductive fasteners located forwardly of the antenna. A seal environmentally seals the antenna inside the housings.

An electro-optical imaging reader includes a chassis mounted in a housing, a window spaced from a rear wall of the chassis, an imaging module for capturing return light from a target through the window over an imaging field of view, a controller for operating the reader in a standby state in which no target is read, and for processing the captured return light to read the target during a reading state, and an object sensing assembly supported by the rear chassis wall and spaced from the window. The object sensing assembly senses the presence of an object bearing the target in front of the window by detecting return sensing light from the object through the window over a sensing field of view that at least partially overlaps the imaging field of view, and triggers the controller to change from the standby state to the reading state upon such detection.
