A method for fabricating a display is provided. The method includes providing a substrate having a pixel area, forming a plurality of patterned first electrodes on the pixel area, forming a plurality of partitions on both sides of the patterned first electrodes, respectively filling in spaces between the partitions with various colored material to cover the patterned first electrodes by a depositing process, and forming a cover on the partitions and the colored materials.

Method for fabricating displays, and apparatus and process for producing displays

A cholesteric liquid crystal display is provided, including a substrate, a first electrode layer disposed on the substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed on the first electrode layer, wherein the liquid crystal layer comprises at least two liquid crystals having different sensitivities to driving frequencies, mixed with each other, and liquid crystals having a greater initial state-transition temperature are more sensitive to driving frequency.

Choloesteric liquid crystal display and fabrication thereof

A supply system capable of providing a working fluid is provided. The supply system includes an access device, a first energizer, a second energizer, a third energizer and an output device. The access device utilized to access the working fluid includes a connecting port. The first energizer provides a first energy to energize the working fluid, thereby expelling the bubbles from the working fluid. The second energizer provides a second energy to energize the working fluid received in the access device, thereby expelling the working fluid through the connecting port of the access device. An electrowetting display comprises a first substrate and a second substrate. A plurality of first conductive electrodes is formed over the first substrate. A second conductive layer is formed over the second substrate and spaced apart from the plurality of the first conductive electrodes. A plurality of cells is formed over the first conductive electrodes. Each cell is formed between one of the first conductive electrodes and the second conductive layer. Each two adjacent cells being separated by a partition. At least two cells include a first material and a second material over the first material. The at least two cells have two different colors. A shape of the first material is capable of being changed upon a change of an electrical field between the first conductive electrode and the second conductive layer.

Electrowetting display and methods for manufacturing the same

An electro-wetting display panel including a first substrate, an insulator layer, a second substrate, partitioning structures, and electro-wetting display mediums. The first substrate has a plurality of first electrodes. The insulator layer is disposed on the first substrate to cover the first electrodes. The second substrate located above the first substrate and has a plurality of second electrodes. The partitioning structures are disposed on the insulator layer and each defines a pixel region, respectively. At least one of the partitioning structures has a flow channel surrounding the pixel regions, and the flow channel is connected to one of the pixel regions correspondingly. The electro-wetting display mediums are disposed within the pixel regions and the flow channels. When the electro-wetting display mediums are driven by the electric charge between the first electrodes and the second electrodes, the electro-wetting display mediums move between the pixel regions and the flow channels.

A method of fabricating an active array color filter structure utilizes the difference between the surface properties of lipophilicity and lipophobicity. When inks are coated on an active array substrate, ink at the lipophobic areas on the active array substrate will be repelled naturally, so that the color filter pixels formed on the active array substrate naturally have contact vias, which facilitates the electrical coupling of pixel electrodes and switch elements. Since there is no aligning or laminating process required for the color filter substrate and the active array substrate during fabrication, no aligning errors will occur. Also, because the pixel electrode can extend to cover over the corresponding switch element, aggravation of the switch element is reduced.

Method of fabricating an active array color filter structure for a liquid crystal display

A method of forming a metal wire by microdispensing a pattern is provided. In the method, a substrate has been treated by SAM is firstly provided. Then, a catalytic agent is microdispensed on the surface of the substrate at places for forming a metal wire, and a catalytic pattern is rendered. Next, a metal wire on the catalytic pattern by an electroless plating process is formed, and a vibration in a period of ink-jet discharging and ink drying during the step of microdispensing is provided. In addition, the vibration is generated by an apparatus which includes forming a metal wire on the catalytic pattern by an electroless plating process, and providing a vibration in a period of ink-jet discharging and ink drying during the step of microdispensing, wherein the vibration is generated by an apparatus which includes a supportive frame and a vibration generation module.

Method for forming metal wires by microdispensing pattern

A cleaning device is mounted on either of the sides of an ink-jet printer. The cleaning device uses the power source of a paper delivering motor to transmit power to the cleaning units so that the cleaning units rotate to perform cleaning and scrubbing operations for an ink-jet print head. When the printer performs printing operations, the paper delivering motor is used to deliver paper without causing an interference with the ink-jet print head during the printing operation. When the ink-jet print head needs to be cleaned, an ink carriage moves to be opposed to the cleaning device under the ink carriage, then, the paper delivering motor supplies power to drive an external transmission device set. The external transmission device set drives the cleaning device on the revolving seat to rotate so as to clean the ink-jet print head of the ink carriage.

Cleaning device for ink-jet printers

A disc clamping device with self lock elements particularly for DVD-ROM or CD-ROM fixedly maintained on a turntable when disc is rotating in high speed. The device comprises a turntable having a boss on the center for putting disc thereon, and a disc clamping member tightly sleeved on boss having protuberances on periphery wherein protuberances are deformed inwards when biased by disc such that disc can insert through disc clamping member, and then protuberances return to original forms by elastically energized force for clamping disc on turntable. By utilizing this, the purposes of decreasing the umber of parts, easy assembly, and high precision positioning of disc are achieved.

A disc clamp mechanism for preventing a disc (e.g., DVD-ROM or CD-ROM) from slipping and/or loosening in a high speed rotation comprises a positioning member sized to the center hole of the disc having a hole for being mounted on a turntable, and an inclined surface; a helical spring within the positioning member; a disc-clamping member sized to the center hole of the compact disc having circumferential raised portions, recessed portions each extending from the raised portion, and flexible V-shaped members surrounded by two recessed portions and a raised portion; and an elastic plane-like member mounted on the positioning member. As such, the disc is secured by the raised portions, the inclined surface, and the turntable when loaded onto the disc-clamping member. This mechanism finds applications in the DVD-ROM or CD-ROM products. Further, a thinner construction, an easy assembly, and a high positioning precision are realized by this mechanism.
