Provided are a heater supporter and an electric hob including the heater supporter. A tube heater is supported by the heater supporter, and at least a portion of the heater supporter is formed of a ceramic containing material. Therefore, food can be cooled more rapidly, and the tube can be easily installed. Furthermore, damage caused by heat generated from the tube heater can be minimized.

A convergence measuring apparatus and a measuring method thereof. The apparatus for measuring a convergence includes: a first camera for obtaining the certain pattern formed on the cathode ray tube; a light path dividing section for processing the certain pattern formed on the cathode ray tube into separate left and right stereo images; a second camera for obtaining the stereo images processed by the light path dividing means; an estimating section for estimating the position and posture of the certain pattern based on the stereo images obtained through the second camera; and a controlling section for measuring the convergence of the image obtained by the first camera, while compensating the convergence based on the estimated position and posture of the cathode ray tube. Further, the method for measuring the convergence includes the steps of: forming the certain pattern on the cathode ray tube; calculating the convergence by obtaining the certain pattern formed on the cathode ray tube by the first camera; obtaining the certain pattern formed on the cathode ray tube as a stereo image through the second camera; estimating the position and posture of the cathode ray tube based on the stereo images; and compensating the convergence by including the estimated position and posture of the cathode ray tube in the calculation of the convergence.

Convergence measuring apparatus and method thereof

Disclosed is an electric oven which increases temperature fast and reduces heat loss in accordance with that a cavity surface generates its own heat by using an induction heating. The electric oven comprises: a case having a door at a front side and having a cavity for receiving food therein; a magnetron installed at one side of an upper portion of the cavity for generating microwave of high frequency and supplying heat to the cavity; an inverter for generating high frequency at a space between the case and the cavity; first, second, third, and fourth heating units installed each side of the cavity for supplying heat. Since temperature of a cooking chamber can be set as wanted uniformly and faster, preheating time and actual cooking time can be reduced. Also, since inner temperature of the cavity rises faster and simultaneously, an automatic cleaning in the cavity using pyrolysis can be performed faster and uniformly, thereby reducing power consumption.

A method for measuring a convergence of color CRT uses a combination pattern among Red(R), Green(G) and Blue(B) colors on a white pattern when measuring convergence by using a color camera so that convergence is measured with a high degree of precision. The method sequentially generates two test patterns after mixing two colors chosen from among red(R), green(G), and blue(B) colors, e.g., mixtures of red(R)/blue(B) and green(G)/blue(B). Images are independently obtained of the two test patterns formed on the color CRT screen, and a signal conversion is performed based on each independently obtained pattern image to produce image information. The image information is stored and a convergence of the stored image information for each test pattern is calculated.

Method for measuring convergence by using a mixed color pattern

An apparatus and method are provided for measuring convergence of the Red-Green-Blue (R.G.B.) signals of a color cathode ray tube (CRT) using a color charge coupled device (CCD) camera. A uniform R.G.B. brightness value is picked up by the color CCD camera at all positions of the CRT screen when the color CCD camera images the screen, thus enabling convergence to be more accurately measured and adjusted. Test patterns having a constant R.G.B. brightness value are displayed on the screen of the CRT by a pattern generator. The displayed test patterns are picked up by the color CCD camera, and when the R.G.B. brightness values differ from a corresponding reference brightness value, a controller adjusts the intensity of each of the R.G.B. signals of each test pattern by suitably controlling the pattern generator. A uniform R.G.B. brightness value is thus provided for all test patterns displayed on the CRT screen. Only after the R.G.B. brightness value has been made uniform is convergence measured, thereby increasing the reliability of the convergence measurement data.

Method and apparatus for measuring convergence with respect to a color CRT using a color CCD camera

A method for determining the execution time and handoff direction of a hard handoff by a base station controller in a code division multiple access (CDMA) system. The execution time and handoff direction is determined for a mobile station moving between two base station transceiver having different frequency allocations (Fas). The service region of the CDMA system is divided as individual cells where each cell further comprises one or more sectors (sub-cells). Sub-cells are either common frequency sub-cells or border frequency sub-cells. Common frequency sub-cells are defined as those sub-cells for which the common frequencies of the neighboring sub-cells are all in use. Correspondingly, a border frequency sub-cells defines a sub-cell for which the common frequencies of the neighboring sub-cells are not all in use. The method of the present invention generally comprises the steps of: receiving a pilot strength measurement message (PSMM) from the mobile station by the base station controller (BSC), the PSMM including a plurality of pilot signals each having a pilot signal strength; upon receiving the PSMM by the BSC, determining whether all sub-cells with which the mobile station is currently in communication are border frequency sub-cells; if it least one sub-cell is determined not to be a border frequency sub-cell, executing a general handoff; if all sub-cells are determined to be border frequency sub-cells, periodically ordering the PSMM from all sub-cells with which the mobile station is currently in communication by the BSC; analyzing a received PSMM transmitted from the mobile station in response to the PSMM order issued by the BSC to determine whether the pilot signal strengths received from all sub-cells are lower than a predetermined power level, T_DOWN, and activating a timer set to a predetermined time, T_TDOWN if said pilot signal strengths received from all sub-cells are lower than a predetermined power level; if the timer expires without interruption during the time interval T_TDOWN ordering the mobile station to execute an intra-cell inter-frequency hard handoff to a common frequency that all base transceiver stations service.

Method for determining execution time of inter-frequency hard handoff and establishing the hard handoff environment

A method for measuring a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) without another test device for testing a radio unit of a base station in a mobile communications system is disclosed. The method for measuring a standing wave ratio for a transmission antenna in a base station of a mobile communications system, which includes at least one transmission antenna, comprises the steps of: (a) generating a test signal by using a given test terminal included in the base station and transmitting the generated test signal to the transmission antenna; (b) upon the test signal being transmitted to the transmission antenna, measuring the strength of a forward signal and a reflect signal for the transmission antenna; and (c) obtaining the difference between the strength of the forward signal, and the strength of the reflect signal and calculating the standing wave ratio for the transmission antenna by using the difference therebetween. A similar method is employed for measuring the standing wave ratio for a reception antenna. Moreover, in another embodiment, a valuable attenuator is adjusted to make the forward and reflect signals equal, and the adjusted signal is used to calculate the VSWR.

Method and system for measuring standing wave ratio in a mobile communications system

A method for processing a hard handoff between a moving mobile station and base stations in a code division multiple access is disclosed. In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the method of intra-cell-inter-frequency hard handoff includes the steps of setting up a new call, confirming whether a current base station satisfies a condition of inter-frequency hard handoff and whether a currently used frequency in the base station satisfies a condition of inter-frequency hard handoff, and performing a general handoff and call processing, when both the conditions of the two confirming steps are not satisfied. If both conditions of the two confirming steps are satisfied, an output signal strength threshold value on and a distance threshold value are set. The mobile station is instructed to periodically report the base station's output signal strength. The distance between the base station and the mobile station is established and when the base station's output signal strength is less than the set threshold value hard handoff is commanded. However, if it is not less, the base station to mobile station distance is checked with respect to the set distance threshold value. On the contrary, in the event that the base station-mobile station distance is less than the set threshold value, the method returns to the step of estimating the distance between the base station and the mobile station and continues to check the output signal strength of the base station and distance between base station and mobile station.
