A motor and a rotary assembly of the motor are provided. The motor includes a rotary assembly and a stationary assembly supporting the rotary assembly. The rotary assembly includes a rotary shaft, a retainer rotating along with the rotary shaft, and a rotor magnet retained by the retainer. A portion of the rotor magnet engages with a portion of the retainer via interference fit, and a gap is defined between another portion of the rotor magnet and another portion of the retainer.

Motor and rotary assembly thereof

A starter for an internal combustion engine includes an electric motor and a solenoid switch. The solenoid switch includes a housing, a fixed core, a movable core, two spaced contacts, and a conductive member arranged to interconnect the contacts when the solenoid is turned on. The movable core is connected to a pinion of the motor which is movable to engage with a flywheel of the engine. The fixed core includes a pull-in coil of aluminum wire, a holding coil of copper wire, and a magnetic core. The motor is connected in series with the pull-in coil. When the solenoid is energized, the coils generate a magnetic field that attracts the movable core to the magnetic core, thereby the moving the pinion into engagement with the flywheel and causing the conductive member to interconnect the contacts.

Solenoid switch

A permanent magnet rotor including a shaft, a rotor core fixed to the shaft, a magnet disposed around the core, and a linker fixed relative to the shaft and located at one end of the core. An elastic clamping structure is arranged between the linker and the magnet such that rotational torque of the magnet is transferred to the shaft via the linker.

Permanent magnet rotor

A brushless direct current motor for use in a HVAC system, has a stator and a rotor rotatably mounted to the stator. The stator has a stator core, field windings wound on the stator core and a bushing. The rotor has a shaft rotatably supported by the bushing and adapted to connect with a valve adjuster of the HVAC system. The rotor also has at least one permanent magnet fixed with respect to the shaft. The bushing is a monolithic construction with two journal portions and one middle portion. The two journal portions support the shaft and are formed at respective axial ends of the middle portion. The middle portion has an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the shaft at portions corresponding to the middle portion, so as to form a gap between the middle portion and the shaft.
